Most issues I have had Ashcom has fixed. Other problems have been how we use it not the software. Pros I have used Maintimizer to keep track of parts for years and the search engine is hard to beat. In my previous review I had issues with not being able to delete parts but changes have been made with the software and this is not an issue anymore. I have used another products search tool and it and it does not come close to the ability of maintimizer's. I have seen complaints of to many fields, but this is the best part. You don't need to use all of them to search, often I use just part of one field and can find what I need fast. Just be through when you enter a part, it will pay off later when someone hands you a part with a mangled label. Cons No real complaints other than maybe the manual, I'm sure this has been updated from what I have. There is so much that can be done with this software that more detail in the manual would have sped up utilization. My experience with inventory has shown that any problems are usually with the user not with the software. Be consistent and through with how you enter information, this will pay off in the long run. Cons There are quite a few features I am not impressed with namely the untying of rooms, areas from the system as it is not possible. Having to click through 8 different pages to navigate a PM or a WO doesn't really make much sense as there are a lot of systems where this is contained on one page. Very difficult to navigate through. If you mistakenly delte a PM batch without printing the batch it won't let you reprint the PM's. Sometimes when you generate PM's by equipment number it does not kick out all of the PM's and you have to do it by assigned employee. Unfortunately, the support team has not been able to help with these issues. Pros Training and follow up support, were two of the keys to our successful use of the product. We had the trainer come on site for several days and he worked with all of the users to get them comfortable with the software. This resulted in acceptance by everyone. The product allowed the various crews on different schedules to make and leave notes on the status of various tasks and repairs being made on different pieces of equipment. We are a 24/7 facility so the ability to allow cross shift communication and the ability to allow everyone to see the status of a repair has been very valuable. Cons The only problem we found is that we could not link MaintiMizer in with our lock out tag out program.
