Pros It is very easy to navigate and use. The report layout was pretty nice looking as far as home inspection reports go. Support was responsive and quick. Cons Limited usability and the desktop program was very slow and clunky. It was taking too long to complete reports. There wasn't much in the way of customization and integration. Payment collections options and document management were not great. Home Inspector Consumer Services ### "Nonexistent Customer Service" 1.0 Overall Rating 1.0 1.0 Ease of Use 3.0 3.0 Features 3.0 3.0 Customer Service 1.0 1.0 Likelihood to Recommend 0/10 July 31, 2024 Dealing with customer support has been a nightmare! According to customer support - who can only be reached via email with days or weeks between responses - I signed up using their old payment system which initially prevented me from accessing the software while also charging me twice. It took five days to finally gain access to the software. Customer support did manage to send me a refund for the duplicate charge (eventually). However, after attempting to use the software and realizing it is not compliant with my E&O insurance, I requested a refund right away. Customer support said they would try to issue a refund but that the person in charge of the old payment system "has not been very responsive". The second refund never happened, and in the meantime, their stupid payment system charged me a third time!! I finally canceled that credit card just to prevent them from charging me again! It has been over 45 days since customer service last responded to my emailed requests for refunds. This company does not stand behind their product and they obviously could care less about their customers. They also explained they lack the support they need to implement new features like customer signatures on a pre-inspection agreement. You get what you pay for. Caveat emptor. I recommend going with Spectora or Homegauge. It's worth the added cost. Pros Software is inexpensive. Mobile app is decent. Dark mode is a nice feature and works well. Cons No way to have a pre-inspection agreement signed - this makes the software unusable, unfortunately. By far, the worst part about EZ Home Inspection Software is the NONEXISTENT customer service. They have also changed parts of their automation and payment system, but their old automation and payment system is still up and running. This creates confusion when someone is signing up following a free trial, and creates an utter nightmare when attempting to involve customer service to resolve issues. Switched from [HomeGauge](https://www.capterra.com/p/29014/HomeGauge/) Used Homegauge for two years under another company. When setting up my own company, I wanted to explore different software options to see what works best. Cons There is absolutely zero customer support. I was double charged this month and my account says suspended. I have sent numerous emails and have yet to get a response. I have multiple clients waiting for my reports and have had to go to another company just to send out the reports i already had finished through ez. I can keep all the records for years for proof if I ever needed it in the future. And the price is great!!! Pros There is so much to say about this program. I love the fact that you can list rooms and move them easily. I love all the comments that are pre-programed. I love that you can take pictures and edit while you are in the room and it will automatically go to that section. There is so much I can't name it all. There are even other cool features that I don't use but I'm sure are must as great such as mailing the report after finished and billing the clients. I would highly suggest this software. Cons I don't like that you can't talk immediately to someone in support but they answers back very quickly.
