When I started doing inspections, I was using spiral bound carbon copy inspection forms taking a day and a half or two days to do an inspection. With this software on an iPad I’m doing two inspections a day. Pros Being able to open the same report on my iPad and iPhone. Cons Occasionally the software will close when I take pictures with my iPad. To be fair, I’m not sure if it’s an inspection software problem or problem with the iPad itself. It saved me a little time compared to the other softwares. If I spent some time to customize my own pre populated drop down lists, I think it would save me even more time. Pretty easy to get started on and learn it though. Pros Ease of use. Easy to load pictures and add captions. Cons The pre-populated drop down lists are full of typos and irritate me. For example, there many entries for "CO2 detector" which is clearly the improper term. It's "CO" and it stands for carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas. Not CO2, the harmless gas that plants breathe in. Lots of typos like that are frustrating to correct them all. Customer service is always 100%. My clients get their report as soon as I’m done with the inspection which they appreciate and so do their agents! Pros This software is great from the get go! However you can add verbiage, move subjects around how you and your clients like. Pictures are clear and real estate agents love it. Cons If I need to adjust the layout, I have to do it on my pc. Wish I could on my tablet or iPad. I have not used another system so I don't really have anything to compare it to. Good product with good support when needed. Pros The overall quality of the app is great. Easy to use in the field. Seamless from app to cloud based. Have had a few issues during editing. Have been working with support to alleviate those. You can create and customize your own templates for whatever types of inspections you are performing. Overall, very satisfied with the product. Cons Nothing really stands out. Most issues I have had with the app or the cloud based app were addressed with support and some of them might have been self inflicted. Cons There are rare times when I'm in a location without cell coverage. If I happen to get kicked off the open report and can't log in. This software delivers the basics for an exceptionally lower license fee. Pros Price and ease of use. The license fee is less than half their competition. The checklist format is easy to use and organizing reports by section allows you to mirror your onsite activity. Cons The inability to copy sections from one report to another. Pros It ensures I do not miss any areas during my inspection. Cons The need to move about the home unnecessarily. For example, in order to satisfy the requirements for each subsection it requires going back and forth from one room to the next instead of just completing whichever room you may be in. It would be nice to complete say the Master Bedroom in one trip instead of several trips to cover the electrical, plumbing, ceiling, fan, bathroom, et cetera. Pros The software is very versatile. We have used it for commercial buildings, for apartment houses, and just simply for a foundation. We always have comments from our customers regarding the ease of viewing the report, the professionalism, the depth we go into, and also the pictures. When we started our business, we looked a long time for this software. Each report is customized for each client. We can't say enough great things about this software! Cons I wish the photos could be slid around from the order in when they are taken when added photos to a section. Instead, I have to add&edit photos in the order I want them to appear on the report, which is annoying when trying to do multiple side by side infrared and regular sink photos, for example. I think it is good value for the money and is customizable. Cons I would like there to be an option for inspection agreement signing through the software. I think improvements could be made in order to make the software more efficient for inspections on site. I would like to see location tags added to the software. A library of locations separate from the comments would be extremely helpful and make my inspections more efficient. For example location tags like (front of the house, back of the house, basement level, main level, etc). When it comes time to upgrade I will definitely buy their newest version Pros Easy to use and very affordable, professional looking reports. Customer Service is fantastic. Only had a few things over the last 3-4 years and mostly it was my error but they are quick to reply and always had the solution. Cons That the software I have is no longer being supported so eventually I will have to upgrade. Not really a bad thing just I am a one man operation so cost becomes a concern. Pros The library is very useful. The format is easy for realtors and clients to understand. The order of categories makes the inspection easy to check back on related categories. Cons The pictures take too long to download, half of the report time is spent downloading pictures. When sending the report the repeat customers email addresses are not stored in memory.
