Overall experience with ImproMed is good. Love how Impromed software works with Cubex system.

Pros

What I like most about the Impromed software is different avenues to take within the software to get to where you need to be as everyone learns differently.

Cons

Do not like that you have to close out of a file in order to pull up another file. Although I can see where this could prevent possible mistakes it is not cohesive to work flow. Other software can minimize the file you are in and come right back to it. It also does not "flag" if you happen to have another client with same phone # and if you are not careful you may end up entering the client several times in the software. Other systems I have used have alerted to this thus not entering the client into the system a second time.

### "Colorful and easily customized"

I'd give Impromed an 85% overall. Software support could be improved- the persons on the inside support team are nice, but not always able to solve issues & their follow-up is lacking for ongoing issues/tickets.

Pros

Colorful and easily customized. Many ways to accomplish same task- easy to 'click around' and figure things out on your own.

Cons

"Refresh" and "Lock" buttons are right next to each other. Cannot have modules open in quadrant pattern. Not the best credit card integration program- cumbersome & difficult to process returns/refunds. Not the best electronic white board.

Overall, the software has managed to do what it is created to do in our practice. The issues I have already list are our main issues with the software.

Pros

I like that the software is user friendly, multiple functions available, and tracking system (although some reports are confusing & not clear) I also like the fact that it is customizable.

Cons

Accounting functions and the ability to get quick response from customer support about specific explanations about accounting issues. I do not favor the message function (pertaining to leaving messages for doctors, rx refills, etc.). I think it should be a better way of doing this.

### "Office Software"

Customer service is good, several options to contact for help. We don't use all to the features since we do not do boarding or grooming or large animal. We are overall happy with the software.

Pros

The integration went pretty smoothly and we had 2 days of training included.

Cons

Some of the layout is not the best but you can submit recommendations for future upgrades.

### "Impromed "

Satisfied with the software but I was used to getting better reporting from other software. This was here when I started working here 3 years ago. So I would really like to see an upgrade which may have what I'm looking for, just not in the budget.

Pros

I find that there are many functions to this program and we have yet to untap them all. We like the ease of scheduling appointments, writing SOAP's and the medical data is easy to find, use and send. I like that it integrates with our online store, saving us time with rx.

Cons

Impromed is not the most user friendly when it comes to learning in. It seems that you have to search hard to locate How To's and then they don't always make sense. On the reporting side, I wish you could memorize a report instead of having to always back out of a report and put in new dates etc. There are so many options but yet not the data that I would easily like to extract without pages and pages of nonsense that I don't need.

Covetrus impromed is very user friendly and more “old school” compared to other softwares I have previously worked with. Navigating through the different features is made easy by the simplistic design.

Cons

It does seem a little outdated as the appearance is not as modern, however, it gets the job done.

Overall, we are happy with the software but we feel that their customer support could be better. We wish that there were more knowledgeable technicians that were able to fix issues more quickly.

Pros

We use Impromed as our primary veterinary practice software. We like that it is paperless and is easy to train new employees.

Cons

We wish that there was a cloud-based option rather than a server. A lot of times, they will take away good features with the software updates which don't make sense for the end user. Support has gone down hill over the years. Often times, it takes days to get a call back which is not good or you spend an hour on the phone with someone who doesn't know how to fix an issue. That has been our major issue since Henry Schein/Covetrus took over. Additionally, we wish that there was a better way to do credit card integration. We have a lot of issues the the credit card machines that we use through impromed.

Pros

Scheduler and invoicing are a great tool when working with clients. We are paper "lite" in our clinic, so having everything digital is a priority. We have had very little down time and have used this software for years. Integrates well with other vendors/labs/service with occasional issues.

Cons

Watch when upgrading to the newest and "Best" version. Not all option are available or even functioning yet. Be prepared for glitches but with tech support it's usually easily managed and worked through.

Significant lack of communication between sales, hardware, software, technical support, analysts, etc since new ownership has taken place. Make sure you read ALL fine print if considering a purchase and do not have your own IT department. Many hidden fees and lack of customer appreciation.

Pros

Software is functional if you have your own IT team to fix the quirks that you run across.

Cons

Integration and support are lacking with current ownership, apparently you need to buy each module instead of getting a package deal.

Pros

This product is fairly user friendly and easily taught to new hires. The ease of navigating the program to implement new templates, make scheduling changes, and other critical applications is also fairly easy to do. Their customer service professionals are very helpful and informative as well.

Cons

It would be nice if there was a mobile application/version to use on a tablet that was formatted to that platform.

Very helpful for non serious issues but sometimes scheduling an analyst to address major issues must be determined on the availability on their schedule. (this usually is addressed quickly) but I must still wait for a callback.

Pros

The Technical support is excellent! I have used other software systems and knew what I needed this system to do. Technical support help train me on this system and was extremely patient and helpful when I had question about a function

Cons

My biggest concern would be a diet link that would let us view the diets only on a tab. This is not available right now on this version but would be extremely helpful in a patients history search.

We've been using this software since 2011, and I do appreciate the continued improvements that Impromed makes. We have recently updated to the latest and we are hopeful that any glitches we were experiencing will be solved.

Pros

The support staff has really improved over the years as well. Overall the software has served us well.

Cons

Glitches seem to be an issue. I'd like to be able to search and create reports for more than is accessible.

### "Straightforward software not without glitches"

We are a multi-location practice and Impromed has great functionality as such.

Pros

It is pretty intuitive to use. There are usually several ways to do the same thing so you can find the way that works best for you. It's easy to view multiple practice locations and fairly simple to switch between them.

Cons

There are often lag times and strange glitches. Creating forms is VERY difficult and not an intuitive process at all. Setting up labels is very confusing. Customer service has gone down, imo, in the last couple of years.

The ability to customize almost everything

Cons

The help section is horrible. Having to search for "end of year" instead of being able to enter "year end" is ridiculous. linking the items in the help area also leaves a lot to be desired. The customization is nice, but do we really need so many ways to do the same thing? 3 ways to use the time card is excessive and confusing for new employees. Using the Invoice tab is horrible, but the invoice section under patient process looks identical, but work phenomenally better. The system constantly dropping or disconnecting from the server is a joke. nd so many other Impromed users have the same issue, but support still says its not them, must be us.

If I were in the market to change software I would probably choose/rec AVImark to save some money.

Pros

Inventory, patient records and accounting all work well. System has the ability to do so much with added cost of additional modules.

Cons

The system is expensive to maintain for the small 1-2 doctor practice. The support offered has decrease over the years and has become more and more expensive (less for more). When purchased over 12 years ago was told could have unlimited documents, forms and templates created but each comes with additional costs. It is frustrating for support to not be able do to meetings and parties during regular hours.

Great program. Updates have been helpful and customer service is getting better. Before HS purchased Impromed the customer service was stellar then became poor but now has improved significantly and very helpful. I’m thinking it was a transition thing.

Pros

This software is very easy to use and has so many features that I probably don’t even use most of them but are nice to have the option to use if needed.

Cons

Steep learning curve at first but eventually you recognize there is 5 different ways to do the same thing and you build a routine.

It has varied through the years. The transition to Covetrus has been difficult, but I think it is getting better with the differences.

Pros

Ability to customize and integration of sectors

Cons

That's a hard question. Often updates and upgrades aren't what you want and you prefer older version, eventually you have to go forward.

Pros

Very useful for our clinic. Easytime helps us all know what is booked for the day instead of the old written log that we use to use!

Cons

There are a few things that they could do to make it easier on the user. Would like to be able to make changes but hard to find instructions to do them.

Pros

The Improview App is loved by our vets and techs. I like all of the reporting features. I use the Financial, Product and Employee reports daily. Lab integration is nice. Electronic billing is nice. Tech Support is really great.

Cons

We never use the scheduler. Our vets like to see their schedules on their phones. We schedule all appointments in Outlook. We were promised a scheduling app in 2016 when we purchased Triple Crown, that also auto-filled client info, addresses and drive time. It would be nice to enter stable names, instead of a first and last name. Need more characters. It would be nice to have the inventory system be more user friendly.

Support have been good, better to call in than use the live chat as they are often dealing with multiple queries at one time that way. There is no perfect PMS out there, especially for large animal, we can get by on the features it has but it isn't a tool we can use to improve the business in any way.

Pros

The flexibility of the schedule, the ability to change views i.e. time slot intervals. Easy to edit i.e. add new columns etc.

Cons

Every feature is on a different tab and you can only have one client/patient open at one time. Takes time to move between clients, especially while you wait for all the relevant tabs to open. Inventory module fails to track QOH efficiently so cannot use for automatic reordering.

Some versions apparently are glitchy and temperamental. The equipment they sell is not too hot. The program has potential but gets expensive and SERVICE IS POOR.

Pros

It is pretty versatile and with added modules will let you do almost anything in the clinic you need to do.

Cons

Support has gotten BAD. THEY DO NOT RETURN CALLS. Lately leave us hanging for hrs limping along with malfunctioning software. Do not buy your equipment from them. Have had to replace hard drives in the server 4 times already. To get all the features you have to buy more modules. It’s not all included. Hard learning curve for new staff. Did I mention poor response from customer support lately? They do not automatically upgrade the versions of the software. Mobile integration is poor for pads etc. and most importantly service is not good.
