### "Great for general practice"

Overall it is a great system for general practice.

Pros

This software is great for utilization for general practice. There are many features and ways to achieve the same outcome from modules, which is extremely helpful as many employees do things differently.

Cons

Reports are unreliable or extremely difficult to understand. Customer Service is very slow and many times have closed open tickets without any updates. It would great to be able to see tracking of a ticket placed.

Very easy to learn quickly which is nice for first time users

Pros

Modules are fairly easy to navigate and understand, easy to use overall, which is nice for first time users.

Cons

Wish the time clock, signing in and out was easier, and could sign out when done. Also when signed back in, if you hadn't clocked back in, you'd get a reminder

Overall experience is good, we have not had any major issues in the 7-1/2 years we have been using Impromed

Pros

I Like the assortment of modules you can pick and choose what fits your business. Customer service is great, they work hard to help you with whatever issue you have.

Cons

There are a lot of steps to do some processes, like printing certain treatment forms. If you make a mistake, a lot of times it is difficult to fix that mistake

Many forms we can now do on the computer and print out for the client.

Pros

This software is user friendly, much more advanced than what we had, one click away for many different procedures

Cons

The appointment scheduler would be better if the designer had an actual job making appointments

### "Integrated Software"

Overall it is a good product for keeping medical records and billing clients.

Pros

The ability to use the software to keep client files organized and digitally safe is great. Lots of options for scheduling and employee tracking as well.

Cons

Requires a lot of computer knowledge in order to integrate to other software used in the clinic. Not always able to perform all tasks that we would want to.

I have been using it since 1991 so I guess I like it well enough.

Pros

Financial record keeping and invoicing work very well. I also appreciate the schedule drug log.

Cons

It is like cable TV, there is so much I do not use, but things I do want I have to pay more for. May this is my problem,but I seem to get the wrong patient selected too often. It should be easier to Rx for a patient. The old DOS program interfaced much easier.

### "Multi functioning practice management software"

It isn't difficult to learn but it is an overwhelming program initially. There are so many steps in order to finalize something, which can be a good thing for the most part, but it takes more time to do one task than one would like. It is a very detailed software, lots of layers and again, there are multiple ways to do something so it is hard to mess anything up. After a year or so of using the software I am still learning new things.

Pros

Impromed allows many different ways to do one thing, I enjoy those options. You can search in multiple ways so there isn't a wrong way to do something really.

Cons

The prescription tab is very busy, lots of colors and doesn't allow you to remove or hide the deceased patients. There also isn't a way to search for a medication a patient is or has been on so you have to scroll through all the prescriptions which can be cumbersome. The same goes for the medical record. Having a search tool for both the record and rx tab would be glorious.

### "Good software, customer support issues"

Even when contacting ImproMed Support for issues on the Pomona campus, we've often run into issues. If we're unlucky enough to get a Tier 1 support person, they often tell us they can't do anything to assist and we will have to wait for a "Senior Tech" to call back. Sometimes the call back is delayed for several hours or days, and we have to call back the support line ourselves to follow up, sometimes just to be told that a Senior Tech still isn't available. We have had positive customer support experiences, but overall, we've found contacting ImproMed Support to be very frustrating.

Pros

The software is intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

I know this is a unique case, but we have a remote clinic (main campus is in Pomona, remote clinic is in Van Nuys). Using local ImproMed clients at Van Nuys to "phone home" to the server in Pomona we found caused the software to run incredibly slow. As such, we had to come up with the alternative of hosting ImproMed as a Citrix app. We've unfortunately still run into issues using ImproMed over Citrix. When we've asked ImproMed Support for assistance in the past, they've told us that since using Citrix is an unusual setup, they're not really able to help us.

When I bought this practice, I inherited this software. Before long, we were customizing and using it for everything from billing to medical records, inventory management and so much more. It's been ready to provide at every step of our growth.

Pros

This software has a depth and breadth of use that makes it a powerful tool in practicing medicine and practicing good business. Additionally, there are usually several approaches to each task, so it's easy to train staff members to use it.

Cons

It really helps to have the online community and software support available to help learn new functions.

I prefer other programs more but I don't dislike the software

Pros

I do like the easy of moving appointments, the options for different columns to organize our appointments, and the ability to lock to software when an admin is not using the product

Cons

It can be a lot of bouncing back and fourth to get done what is needed. Too many steps to reach the end goal

It's been going fine.

Pros

There isn't much that I don't like. It's pretty user friendly.

Cons

There are several features we don't use and it's mainly because we didn't have training on them and we just don't understand it. Also, whenever there is a software update, I have to do that myself and not going to lie, it's a pain in the butt! It would be nice to have a local Impromed tech to come out and do that for us.

Pros

The software program is excellent. I am writing this review because of customer service. Impromed support is absolutely on point. It is the competence, availability, and friendliness of staff that would keep me from ever switching to any other brand.

Cons

There are always things that could be improved, but I believe that is usually personal preference. I have no complaints.

Pros

How easily it was integrated with our credit card processor, care credit and lab used for bloodwork

Cons

Very hard to navigate and learn. If you need to change a label or form, it's not user friendly. I always have to call in for help. Also it would be nice to include everyday users for updates. I cannot tell you the last time we had an update that was beneficial to our practice. For instance, being able to check out specific items on an invoice and not others. Or being able to email an estimate. Things that would greatly help to streamline our and many other businesses. I highly recommend a panel for this.

Customer service used to be awful and I was ALWAYS on the phone with them, spent more time on hold than actually speaking to someone. It has gotten better, not awesome but better.

Pros

Easy to train new employees. Still some troubles integrating with softwares

Cons

Navigating the back side. It is fine once you are trained how to utilize the system but if you come in after implementation as a manager, the hunt and find method is very difficult.

I like the appointment scheduling feature and I like how the medical records screen can be divided into sub-tabs.

Cons

I do not like that x-ray images do not integrate into the medical records. I also wish the "link" feature would better integrate whatever it is that we're linking.

Happy with it overall. I do not have experience with other veterinary software so I have nothing to compare it to.

Pros

\-doesn't take most employees long to learn how to use; user friendly -looks sharp, laid out well -easy to customize

Cons

\-the help feature doesn't answer 90% of questions/concerns so you must use customer service which has become a long process to obtain assistance -we have had problems with ImproMed not capturing a credit card transaction immediately, taking sometimes 2 weeks for the software to catch up and apply the transaction

Impromed has been very responsive to questions and issues that we have had. Yes, wait times to be helped do vary, and we do often have to be called back to fix an issue, but they do follow-up and make sure that issues are handled.

Pros

We have been using the Impromed software since 2010. It was much more efficient than our old software, and we could see major differences right away. The Easy Time module and patient processing module increased our efficiency and speed immediately.

Cons

The initial switch over had some glitches, especially with our accounts receivables. But, that we were able to correct this manually, which did take a few days.

I really could use some training on using reports and inventory functions.

Pros

After using other PMS for 20 years, stepping into ImproMed was at first daunting. However, I quickly became accustomed to using it. It is user friendly.

Cons

I wish the report function was a little easier to navigate, especially when creating custom reports. Customer Support could be enhanced - I currently use On Line Chat, which I like not being tied up on the screen but often times my questions are not fully answered and I figure it out on my own.

The customer service is always good. Sometimes can be a bit of a wait when calling in but we have the option to leave a callback number. One incident I did not get a call back and had to call again but that was a onetime incident.

Pros

The soft ware integrates with other systems fairly easily. We have ours integrated with a mobile app and a lab station as well as an online store and website.

Cons

It is not as user friendly as it could be lots. There seems to several ways to do the same thing and it would be more user friendly if the path was more simplified and direct especially the invoicing.
