Newsletter campaigns can be set up quickly, templates can be added easily and subscribers can be managed well. Automating campaigns is not difficult either. I especially like the fact that there is also a good mobile version of aweber. Cons Aweber is only available in English so far and the explanations of some functions in the tool are only rudimentary. Pros The singular thing I so much love about Aweber is their User Interface UI. It is so simple and straightforward. Everything you needed are at the right place. Their inbox rate in superb, from experience I normally have up to100% inbox rate. My list is less than 2000 subscribers but then I believe their system sends out emails as though it's sending directly to one person at a time. Their landing pages are simple and easy to customize. They have Javascript, plugins for different CMS and blogging platform and Html though I use the html mostly. Cons Actually, Many times I had wanted to create a more sophisticated web forms but their platform is not compatible for it. What I am trying to say is that I have had needs for forms that help people to take a short survey thereby building my list with it or a two-step form but the feature is included. Cons When they first started, their deliverability was much higher because they only allowed those who opted in to be on my email list, which made them almost immune from being sent to junk mail.Although it is nice that I can now import people into my account, it has lowered the number of emails that make it to the inbox. Pros Their training is exceptional. The modules are short, pertinent and to-the-point. Examples are shown for each feature, so you can SEE what you have just done. Their "homework" is also beneficial as it complements your busiess. Cons I love it all, nothing I dislike at all. It works really well for that. Split testing is easy and their support is very good. The landing pages could be more controllable but actually that probably isn't the most important thing in a campaign (Although you could say why bother to split test then, well that would be a good point). I would like to be able to put video in there because that does make a difference to engagement. I guess they'll add it at some point. It's not full of features like ClickFunnels but then it's much more reasonably priced as a result! February 3, 2020 4.0 I have used Aweber to get email subscribers for my mailing list and set up autoresponders. Aweber makes managing your mailing list fairly easy to do. Pros Aweber is fairly easy to use tool for managing your email subscribers, setting up autoresponders, and sending out bulk emails. Their support staff is also very easy to contact. They also have a very good affiliate program. There is also a good 30-day trial period. Cons Well, I noticed that when sending out bulk emails to Microsoft based email address that the read rate is much lower so this indicates that more messages are being filtered out as spam. I also wish that Aweber had more options in terms of sales funnels and setting up a webinar type of page. Review Source JL Jessie L. I had their most basic paid plan which did everything I needed at the time. I will say after taking a year off and reopening this year, AWeber came in second (in a list of 10 options) when making my decision for what to use for the reopening. Pros When I started my first solo business and needed a way to send emails to a list, Weber was where I started. I had little knowledge about what I might need and wanted a way to get started with as little friction as possible. AWeber did just that. Cons Probably user inexperience on my end, but I couldn't get a handle on how to best use tags and segments to my advantage. It works with everything online, I have not seen any program or software that does not integrate with AWeber. Pros There was no confusion about how anything works, they took me by the hand and showed me how everything works (through video and tutorials) and it's so easy to use. When I received the postcard, it made me feel special. Cons When I used it, there was not a free option to test it up until a certain amount of subscribers, but I know they've got that now. The forms are basic. Support was terrible. Pros I liked the simplicity I like that it was easy to use I like the quality of email deliverability I like the price when it is still small size list, affordable for newbie Cons As an affiliate marketer, I was using AWeber. I was sending affiliate links periodically to my list. It was all good for a few months, until one day I discovered my account was suspended. Unfortunately, at the time I had paid marketing campaign and my follow up emails were going out. I only found out 2-3 days later. It took 11 days to have the support get back to me and restore my account. By that stage, I moved everything to GetResponse because of the poor support. Review Source KD Kira D. It is a good email marketing tool. We did benefit from the features it has like customizable fields. Ultimately we switched because we found a product with a similar price that had more features and better quality. Pros Aweber is a well known product and most people know how to use it, it was easy for our teak to use. I loved all the customization and specific options or controls. You can set who will receive emails and when they are sent with more precision than other products. Cons Aside from the pros mentioned above, Aweber is just lacking in features and quality. The price is similar to other products but you're actually getting less. I don't feel very secure with Aweber. January 21, 2019 5.0 Pros There are several email marketing apps out there. The good thing about AWeber is that they tightly control their platform which makes the email deliverability high. Cons They need to step up the game with marketing automation. A basic thing missing is - follow up feature in broadcasts email whereby an email should be sent after x days if it is not opened. If this is you, then AWeber may be something to consider. Most other email marketing tools have lots of features (that are often not used). Those features complicate things and make those tools much more difficult to use. Cons A disadvantage I experienced is that back in the day when I used AWeber, some other users were using AWeber to spam people and this had an impact on your deliverability as well. With the simplicity I described above comes the disadvantage that when you need more advanced features it quickly becomes more difficult. I also didn't like their pricing model. It's based on number of subscribers to a list — nothing wrong with that, but as the software didn't support segmentation you had to basically subscribe people to multiple lists get segementation (and hence you were paying twice for one subscriber that was on multiple lists). I had no problems with it at all .Once you start getting more than 500 subscribers you have to make a decision on the features you need and pricing bands for other companies. AWeber is still very competitive at under $20/month, but other competitors have superior features.
