About Diskeeper

Condusivs Diskeeper 16 with DRAM caching guarantees to fix worst performing physical servers or PCs with faster than new performance. Instead of defragging, Diskeeper 16s newest patented engine ensures large, clean contiguous writes from Windows so fragmentation is no longer an issue for HDDs or SSDs. This eliminates the death by a thousand cuts scenario of small, tiny writes that inflates I/Os per second, robs throughput, and shortens the lifespan of HDDs and SSDs alike.

Pros: 30 day Trial version to test. No rebooting after install. Use of software. Features of software. Information that software reports back (i/o's and time saved).

Cons: Info re: virtual server vs physical doesn't seem to be out in the open. After downloading they tell you for physical go here- for virtual go here (which has a completely different name).

Overall: We've been testing it for a few days now.

The servers are humming along and seem to have better performance. Will give it a week to see how they actually perform and see how great the response in SQL is.
