Pros
It is a robust program, has pretty much everything we need for adminitrative end of the business side of our spiritual center.
We used this product for many years probably about 6 -7. I considered us a small congregation and it was or seemed better than what we had previously been using when we initially purchased it.
The money they took was Gods not mine and will cost them dearly. I have waisted precious time and pray this review will save someone the heartache I've experienced.
Which makes it more user friendly. The security features are nice for limiting access to specific users.
Cons
These people are rude! rude! rude. They have no patience or integrity.
The Texting within the program is useless, and the mass email is combersome. Compared to more modern programs it is lacking essential communication tools.
We have lost information and had multiple corrupted tabled for one bad entry. So what is a bad entry, wrong date format, making corrections caused us to loose 4 plus months of data.
For three years we have tried to work with the program and reread the manual making sure we accurately entered information, but it still failed to work properly.

"Get it!"
Overall: I use the software to manage contributions, print giving statements and print reports, labels, directories.
Pros: Easy to learn and use. The tech help is superb.
Cons: Some of the reports are difficult to understand…but all I have to do is contact help.
"Excellent Product, Reliable"
Overall: We have been able to handle our church business and work through all our needs. We have used this for years and will continue to use it.
Pros: It is a robust program, has pretty much everything we need for adminitrative end of the business side of our spiritual center.
Cons: Only con is the ease of use. We have older members who volunteer in the office and though we were able to get a shared drive going there are times we have to research how to get something done and show them. I am new to the program administrative side now not sure if they took the comprehensive training. It is very much needed and should be taken.
"out of date"
Overall: For the time that we used it, it seemed to do an adequate job. Mainly what I wanted it to do was create a database for our members and track tithes and offerings. However at the end I found it to be problematic and honestly very outdated. It served us well enough while we used it, however as we grew I wanted something that can grow with us and so we / I made a change
Pros: We used this product for many years probably about 6 -7. I considered us a small congregation and it was or seemed better than what we had previously been using when we initially purchased it. We even updated it about a year or so ago.
Cons: it is extremely outdated. I found the reports to be at times unreliable. (at least at the end).
"Church Pro is a very good piece of software for helping to manage church records."
Pros: I like how user friendly this software is. It is easy to print checks for church and keep track of giving records.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes it was hard to reach someone for technical support, and also you had to pay extra money for technical support.
"we tried and didn't stick"
Overall: We went with another software after trying ChurchPro for a season.
Pros: This software helps churches manage ministry well in one platform. It integrated many facets of church information well.
Cons: The dated software could really bog a millenial down. It didn't do things easily for the price tag that it required.
"Good Idea Poor Execution"
Overall: We are a smaller Church of 150. We invested in CP in 2009 for $. The learning curve was so steep that we were unable to use it right away. Because the learning curve was so steep, it requires a lot of time just to learn how to use it. I and others in our church are computer savy. I use powerful integrated CRM for my personal business. One of the Elders is employed by the State in IT. By the time we had it up and running CP was on sale for 1/2 off. They did not honor the sale, but they did provide an additional unlock key which we have yet to use. We upgraded our PC and the CP disk would not load, we called support, and even though we had the keys and the disk, we had to purchase the 2014 upgrade for an additional $. Although packed with features the program is not user friendly at all. CP advertises texting capabilities, but you almost have to be a programer to utilize it. We invested in another program to communicate with our congregation. We still use CP as a DBASE and accounting program. But if I had to do it over again, I would not invest in CP. Customer service is not good.
Pros: Data Base and Accouting are integrated
Cons: Difficult to navigate. Crashes frerquently while trying to print reports, very poor customer service, texting iwithin the program is useless, unrealistic, and over stated, poor email program.
"Has Potential, Not user friendly"
Overall: It does the job, but at a cost, most of our people gave up on it, and allthough it is packed with features, they are under utilized because of the difficulty. The CP customer service is not the best, and after 90 days you have to pay. If you are going to buy, wait for the sale. Our computer crashed, and when we tried to install CP on our New PC, it would not work. We called CP, and they would not supply a replacement , even though we are registered licensed users. We had to pay for the new UPGRADE.
Pros: I like the fact that this product can do just about everything you need to manage a Church
Cons: This product is hard to use, its bulky and I compare it to driving a truck, there is definately a learning curve, but if you invest the time to learn how to use it, it will get the job done. The Texting within the program is useless, and the mass email is combersome. Compared to more modern programs it is lacking essential communication tools.
"Needs improvements"
Overall: Churchpro while based on sound principals and a some what user friendly interface, has some down falls. The instruction manual lacks adequate information to fix errors, but you can by support for some $$$ which some churches can not afford every year. The software itself has some issues. For example, one missed or incorrect entry can play havic on the entire data base. We have lost information and had multiple corrupted tabled for one bad entry. So what is a bad entry, wrong date format, making corrections caused us to loose 4 plus months of data. Recently, we came into church opened the program and it intermingle all of our data, kids were reassigned to different parents, birthdays were all incorrect, and the list goes on. For three years we have tried to work with the program and reread the manual making sure we accurately entered information, but it still failed to work properly. It is a great idea, but we believe the issue is the outdated parodox engine running the software. One incorrect entry should not corrupt an entire database. If these issues were fixed, then this would in my opinion be one of the best church software packages on the market. The pros are that for the initial price it includes a all in one resource for churches. It also has a windows feel user interface. Which makes it more user friendly. The security features are nice for limiting access to specific users. The customer support is good, but expensive for smaller churches. If working properly the accounting side of software is perfect for churches.
"Almost, but Not Quite"
Overall: It’s a good way to input pertinent information about the membership. The financial aspect is not so easy to follow. I’ve called support a couple of times. I received a callback within 15 minutes. They were able to help solve my problems in a short time. I’ve emailed and have not received a reply for several days. The instructions in the manual for reconciling is perfect until the end and there’s no explanation on how to finish. There’s a comprehensive list of financial reports. I wish they were sorted in a more user-friendly way, maybe using drop-down lists. Lastly, I do not understand the use of Paradox Runtime. I believe with some tweaking, this could be an amazing product.
Pros: There’s a good understanding of how a church functions and as such, it has many features to track members. Various contacts with members can be logged. Reports can be run based on attendance in services. Contributions are tracked and a report easily printed to give out for tax purposes.
Cons: It isn’t very intuitive. There is a steep learning curve. Direct deposit from the program is not an option.
"Churchpro has a lot of features but I don't think it can keep up"
Pros: Church pro has a ton of features and is trying to be a one stop shop for church management software. A great tool for accounting specifically.
Cons: It is definitely very dated looking and feeling which also makes it hard to navigate and use. It could be more intuitive and automated and have more integration with other softwares in case someone wants to use some of their features but still keep other features from other softwares and have them work together.
"Church Pro Review"
Overall: Church Pro helps keep everything in one place.
Pros: I liked the fact that you could keep track of attendance and Sunday school information.
Cons: I didn't like that it was confusing to update the software.
"Big Mistake!"
Overall: These predators denied my request for a refund just 39 days after trying to navigate this nonsense. The money they took was Gods not mine and will cost them dearly. I have waisted precious time and pray this review will save someone the heartache I've experienced.
Pros: Absolutely nothing! A refund and compensation for the wasted time invested.
Cons: Customer service. These people are rude! rude! rude! They have no patience or integrity! This is a scam!
