Pros The seamless integration and easy setup made introducing and training our team in using the platform a breeze. Cons The "concierge" feature can create duplicate entries in your accounting software if you try to manually import data. Well, no, but I'd probably cut down on my expenses. Pros This is truly an intuitive, easy to use, useful expense reporting tool that is truly a pleasure to use. I love that you can photograph receipts that are "smart scanned" right into the system. Doing expenses can be the bane of my existence. Not with expensify. Cons My only criticism of Expensify is that the smartscan function takes entirely too long. Inputting the expense manually is 100% faster. Review Source GH Garret H. Pros Expensify is super easy to get started with and the UI is very intuitive. The mobile app in particular is a life saver and makes it so easy to manage expenses on-the-go. I used to save all of my receipts and do it at once, but the app is so easy to use that I can usually do it in 1-2min after each purchase, making it way easier to track. Cons I wish you could save "templates" of certain expenses. I find myself entering the same types of expenses month-over-month and always having to create the same Report/Expense from scratch. November 28, 2018 5.0 Expensify has made it so easy to submit and process expenses-- no more stapling receipts to forms, no more worrying about losing things. I can approve expenses for employees easily, or reject expenses with specific comments on what needs to be corrected. Pros Expensify is incredibly easy to use, makes it simple to collect and submit expenses and very easy to approve them as well. You can categorize expenses, set limits for certain types of expenses, and because everything is electronic it is much easier to review and process. It's very intuitive, and the computer and app interfaces are both very easy to use. Expensify is one of the few applications that continually adjusts their pricing based on current number of users and doesn’t make me contact one to three layers of customer suppprt to change our pricing. Pros Can forward receipts within email to the account and snapping pics of receipts into the app directly. Also integration to quickbooks for sending billable items for creating invoices. It automatically sends the report off to my manager or other people to approve and goes straight to my paycheck. Easy! Cons It's incredibly slow to have the receipt be uploaded and auto-load the information (date, amount, vendor, etc). Easier to just upload and fill out the information manually. Pros Super easy to transfer receipts via photo or email and quickly match expenses with documentation. Cons Certain functionality is much easier when using a computer, while other functions are much easier on a mobile device. Essentially need both for the smoothest operation. Pros We used to have to keep paper receipts and scan them into emails, Expensify has solved that while also making it easy to reimburse someone when they use a personal account to make a purchase. Cons Sometimes Expensify will disconnect with our bank software and we will not be able to submit reports until they reconnect. Definitely recommend for anyone that is looking for an easy way to do their expenses. Pros I used to do my expenses with a pen and a paper, and it would take me FOREVER. My company recently switched over to Expensify and it has definitely made my life a bit easier. All expenses are automatically loaded into my account. Expenses are easy to review, edit and submit for approval. Cons Sometimes my accounting team has to manually enter my expenses due to a glitch. Not sure if this is an issue with my credit card or Expensify. They said that they will reach out to consumer service for support. Other than that, Expensify is a great and easy to use tool. There are a lot of features and native integrations which is great. Pros Easy to set up, a very good customer support, working globally, direct to account payment really works in the US, employees love it Cons No account manager or a CSM to support you in the implementation, No assistance with best practices and others and it's a full self-service solution. It is way ahead of others and is the ONLY tool of this type with a mobile app that I don't hate. Pros Very easy to use interface, amazing mobile app and the perfect amount of notifications/emails. Kept up to date on where your report is in the process and very easy to manage thanks to a very handy and intuitive mobile app. Cons N/A. I am constantly losing my receipts and it is very frustrating to have to keep and record those little pieces of paper. But with expesnsify it’s so much easier. Cons My credit card stopped synchronizing with Expensify for no reason. As a result, my accounting team has to manually enter each expense into my monthly report, which is very time consuming. It appears that it is an issue that affects only those that have a MasterCard . Another recurring issue I've had issues is that I have a lot of duplicate charges showing on my Expensify reports, so it adds an extra steps as I have to send a report to my accounting team showing the duplicate charges. It handles the expenses, it even handles reimbursement payments. The email receipt feature is great. It's pretty easy to use and I don't have many complaints. Pros That it easily integrates with QuickBooks desktop, and with American Express so I can import expenses. I also like that you are only charged for active users, so you don't have to offboard people who leave the company. Cons When you add a new vendor in QuickBooks you have to re-sync and it throws off the custom tags - you have to reconfigure each time. This is only a minor inconvenience, however.
