I find the user interface relatively easy. I like that you can upload multiple expenses at once and the tool can locate dates/amounts on the receipts that are uploaded. It's also great that there are notifications after every step is approved and you're even alerted what date you should expect to be reimbursed. Cons It took me a second to figure out how to lump multiple expenses into 1 report. Cons I don't use Expensify extensively but until today, I never had any issue with it nor been searching for any missing features. I travel internationally for work and often have expenses in foreign currencies, Expensify does a great job with exchange rates/conversions. I use Lyft business for transportation and I can easily import receipts into the app. The mobile app is great for uploading receipts. I also expense distance (miles) and Expensify makes that very simple. My expense reports are reviewed and approved quickly thanks to this tool, I love getting email notifications that let me know if my report was approved or not and if my money is on its way. It's very easy to tie in your bank account and get direct deposit for your reimbursements. Cons I have had issues with the mobile app being slow, sometimes I have a hard time editing the name on reports. Small buggy things but nothing too bad. Cons The interface can be a tad confusing when adding expenses vs creating a new report. It is also hard to delete any expenses that are errors. I have limited experience using tools like Expensify so I would be interested in exploring other options. Pros Expensify is a great tool to track, request, and receive reimbursements for expenses that come from the business you work for. Cons Expensify makes you jump through a couple of hoops when trying to submit expenses. If you do not create a report full of expenses, it will not be submitted. Review Source SF Stan F. Pros Integration with QuickBooks, fairly easy for employees to use, good approval process. Cons A bit pricey unless you sign a contract. Company was too intrusive during 2020 election cycle, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] used company email addresses in order to tell people how to vote. That is not why you have our employee information, that was a major fail on their part will switch when I get around to it, that's why I didn't sign a new contract when the last one expired. Pros We are able easily track our expenses on the move rather than use a more manual process. The app is easy to use & tracks expenses in real time - with us easily able to classify them. There was no training necessary, and it's satisfied exactly what we were looking for. Pros The best features about expensify are the ones that make it so user-friendly. Taking photos of receipts and attaching them is very easy, as is the approval process. Cons It's not as easy as it could be when it comes to reviewing expense reports from a long time ago, but I haven't encountered other systems that are easier. My biggest concern is going on a business trip and not getting reimbursed. This has lessened that stress tremendously. Pros I love using this because it has made reimbursement way more convenient for me and my manager. It has helped save time and no headaches using it either. Pros I love that I am able to manage all receipts and put them in the correct accounts. This helps when entering receipts for a bank reconcile. I also love the ease of attaching receipts by many different methods. My favorite is the drag and drop method. Cons The software can be a bit difficult to navigate when the receipts are older. Administrative Assistant Religious Institutions Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Excellent option for easy expense reporting" September 25, 2018 5.0 Pros 1) I like that it interfaces easily with our banking websites and with our chart of accounts in Quickbooks. 2) Creating and submitting reports is easy, fast, and intuitive. 3) The app is very user friendly and doesn't require much training or effort to learn Cons 1) At times there is a delay in the time it takes for transactions to load from our credit card. At other times, there is an error in loading them that requires you to go into your settings and 're-load'. If you don't check this regularly, you could be missing transactions you didn't know were there. 2) I wish that there was more detail included in the transaction description. Sometimes I have to look at the transaction on our banking site to find out more information about where the transaction took place, etc. Review Source KC Kathy C. Pros Expensify is a great, simply tool to help you keep track of expenses for your business and makes balancing the credit card statements each month really easy. Cons Expensify will occasionally sign me up for pro features without my knowing and then bill me for using it without me entering in a credit card. August 1, 2018 3.0 Ease of use, it saves a lot of time when getting my expense reports together. Pros Expensify it easy to use. I like using the app on my iPhone to take pictures of my credit card receipts and use those pics in my reports. Cons The problems I've had are sometimes I will upload a receipt and it will show that it is in the system, but as much as a week later it will disappear. This has happened several times. On a couple of occasions I have thrown away my paper receipt and that has turned into a real issue. Cons Nothing that I can think of - I use it to simply submit my expenses for my business travels and it's always been easy to use and with uploading images of receipts and tracking my past submissions. The summary report at the end of the month makes submitting receipts monthly a breeze. Cons Auto tracking of miles would be awesome. You can start and end a trip but something like MileIQ that tracks automatically and then lets me choose personal or business would be a nice integration with the receipt tracking. Pros I love how easy it's to submit my monthly expenses for approval and avoid not needed back and forth for clarifications since there are the right fields in place and everything is well structured. Using Expensify is so much easier compared to my experience handling expenses in previous companies. Cons It was a challenge to get how it works the first month I did it. I believe there was 1 or 2 onboarding popups which helped to start but I still needed to consult with my manager. I am not sure if more detailed onboarding is something that my company should've set up and such option exists in Expensify or not. Review Source VB Vince B.
