Positive. Pretty easy to use and book travel.

Pros

Expensify made it very easy to submit travel expenses and book travel through. I used to both to submit expenses and book flights and hotels and it was very straight forward. At one point I did have to cancel travel arrangements and this was very easy as well.

Cons

Booking a hotel with a flight is a little confusing. When booking together, the platform will recommend hotels closest to the airport vs. you final destination. When using for the first time it was a little difficult to navigate and I was confused on which hotels were actually available in my area.

Expensify has made my monthly reports so much simpler. I am immensely thankful for this software.

Pros

I cannot express how much I love the ease of use of Expensify. Being able to snap a picture or forward my receipts has made life so much easier.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the extra expense to reimburse myself. It's a marginal complaint but it's easier to write a check then spend extra money.

Pros

I use Expensify every time I travel for business, or anytime I have to use my own money for business expenses. The process for submitting expenses is a breeze, you just have to make sure you don't lose your receipts!

Cons

For some reason the automatic scanning (SmartScan) feature never works for me, so I have to manually enter receipts, which takes a little longer.

It is the best solution I have ever used for managing expenses

Pros

So so easy to use - can photo receipts etc on the go, scans them and then auto-generates expense reports and then asks if you want it submitted :) Has made the whole nightmare of doing expenses so much easier and means I get reimbursed quicker too . . .

Cons

The auto-scanning can be a little temperamental at times but easy to quickly add own details in

good for a while (free version). Now I take a picture and synch automatically with onedrive. It is just not worth the hassle for me.

Pros

One place to put all your expenses. Can upload receipts and categorize accordingly. You can also create reports.

Cons

The scan feature rarely works and if it does will take a long time and your phone will get warm with all the processing on the background. I ended up just taking a picture. Reports are poorly formated and scan images are not PDF which is a problem if you want to use in some other tools later.

I think we can all agree that doing expense reports sucks the life out of your soul. Not with Expensify. Their software makes it so easy to submit your report BEFORE you're even back from your trip! This has saved me HOURS and helped me get reimbursed quicker than ever before.

Pros

I didn't realize how amazing Expensify was until I switched companies and Expensify is no longer in my toolbox. Their mobile app makes it easy to submit expense reports on the go so that you're not left to do it when you're back from your trip.

Cons

Nothing - it's so amazing and I highly recommend.

Pros

The simplicity that Expensify brings is more than any other software out there. Hands down the best to use and the most simple solution to solving a headache of keeping track of expenses and receipts etc.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to learn more about Expensify before having to sign up on the website and give all of your information to them beforehand.

Pros

Very easy to use. Allows for real time approval of trips and expenses. App to add each of your expenses on the fly. Converts between currencies easily for international travel.

Cons

For the most part this is the most solid software for expenses I've used, the only minor issues I've ran into are some sorting issues from time to time on Hotels and Flights. There is not much I can say for cons.

I loved the fact I could upload receipts and track them.

Pros

Nobody enjoys doing their expenses, but expensify makes this incredibly easy, and has great User Interface and is easy to understand. Also, their mobile phone makes using this on the go incredible. Everyone should download their mobile app!

Cons

I'm not involved with how much we pay to use this, so I'm not familiar with the exact cost, but I do know that it is a point of topic for some people

Pros

The Auto Scan for the details when you upload a receipt. It's quick and easy to upload and fill in the rest when you have time.

Cons

My account is directly tied to my word credit card. Occasionally end of the month expenses will go through in a report and get approved and later the Credit Card transaction shows up and I can't match it without cancelling the approved report...no biggie though

I've liked my experience with Expensify. It makes it easy to keep all of my expense receipts in one place and send them to my manager easily. The app is great.

Pros

It makes reimbursements easy at work. I used to use the website but now I use the app and it's very simple.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning -- had to remember to put receipts/expenses into actual reports.

Pros

I literally like nothing about expensify, if I have to choose one thing, its the interface.

Cons

Like I mentioned, not a fan at all. I found it slow, many times I'd be halfway through my report then it would lose my progress, the smart scan feature only works like 10% of the time, if that much. Theres a TON of potential, but It's not executed well.

Pros

Expensify has a clean design and it easy to use. It is the simplest reimbursement system I've seen at a job. The "create from map" option makes it easy to reimburse for gas without calculating mileage yourself, and the mobile app is great for taking pictures of receipts. I particularly like its notification system, which alerts you to when your expenses have been approved or marked as reimbursed. It's helpful to know the progress of your reimbursement without having to login to the app or web version.

Cons

It can be a little difficult to add or delete an expense from a report that has already been submitted. Fortunately, if an administrator rejects a report, it is easy to make changes.

This has made tracking expenses simpler for fuel purchases! It's great too see how much fuel is purchased and which employee is purchasing it.

Pros

Expensify is really easy to use. It's as simple as snapping a photo of a receipt and closing the app. The software is able to extract information from the receipt and automatically add the total/vendor etc to a ledger. This makes calculating expenses for fuel, purchases very simple.

Cons

It's not a great solution for a company that has multiple employees in the field making purchases for multiple projects. We have to manually sort through transactions and match them to individual jobs. It would be great to be able to assign a job to it that syncs with quickbooks automatically.

Cons

Unfortunately, it's template are very "US" like company, so if you have a different scenario (like, different document's requested and receipts), it's not so customizable for the user as it could be for it's objective.

IT WAS A CHORE WEEKLY TO ACCOUNT FOR ALL CHARGES, THE APPROVAL PROCESS WAS TEDIOUS AND PICS NOT EASY TO VIEW ON SCREEN. WE GOT RID OF IT AS IT WAS MORE WORK FOR ME AS THE ACCOUTANT THAN WAS WORTH.

REPS COULD UP LOAD A PIC OF THE RECEIPT ABILITY TO NOTATE BUSINESS USE ON EXPENSES SPLIT TICKETS FOR EACH TYPE EXPENSE

Cons

DOWNLOAD DOES NOT FUNCTION AS I ASSUMMED I COULD USE FOR ENTEREING OR UPLOADING TO ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE. APPROVAL PROCESS IS NOT AS EASY OF A FEATURE. HAD TO PRINT OUT PICTURES THAT WAS NOT A VERY GOOD TOOL WOULD PRINTOUT ANY ATTACHED DOCS ON THE PIC. COSTLY.

Pros

Expensify is a simple tool for expense management. I guess if you have a small business it does the job, the platform has a clear view.

Cons

I didnt like a lot of things. I gave expensify a try but it didn't work for me. Our company have multiple entities in the US and in EU and expensify does not support this, the integration with xero is a mess i don't understand how does it work...My overall experience is bad. Everytime I tried to make it better didnt work for me and the customer service is a machine that is not really helpful.

Pros

I've worked for organizations that use paper expenses, and I've worked for organizations that use expensify. I MUCH prefer using this software. It makes it easier to enforce reporting standards and it also averts the problem of lost receipts!

Cons

There is not much to rag on here. It takes a bit of time to train someone in how to use it, but when they finally understand how to make a good report then they're flying!

We could not be more pleased with the Expensify system. Having transitioned from a dated spreadsheet-based reporting structure, the modern and user-friendly interface was a welcome change.

Pros

The easy-to-use software meant that introducing the system to our organization was quick and painless. The system replaced an archaic spreadsheet process that has saved us so much time!

Cons

There could be more flexibility with reporting frequency. Sometimes there are some limitations with how many items you can add to an automatic report.
