On the user sid,e, I am extremely satisfied with the main goals being achieved of obtaining reimbursement quickly for work-related expenses and creating the reports to be approved by my firm administrator. Pros Expensify if a quick and easy way for employees to submit expense reports and receive reimbursement from their firms. The app has a simple interface and works easily on both user and control side. Cons The only note I have is to continue improving the already efficient app as the various details included when creating reports and specifying expenses could be done with more ease. July 23, 2025 5.0 My friend referred me to expensify as a way to keep track of receipts for our business. I got into it and realized the user interface was very easy to use. It is not some complicated software that requires a tutorial video. What is great is that you can connect a credit card to it and it will automatically keep track of transactions. If the amount is below $75, it will generate a receipts accepted by the IRS. Pros What I liked best about Expensify is the smart scanning feature. This allows me to take pictures of receipts and it then gets all the details. I can go back and look up things by date, price or name of the merchant. Cons The initial learning curve was a little laborious, and updating with our financial tool will occasionally give an error. I've been using it for 3 years and have never had any problems. Cons Possibility of renaming the report. This was a possible feature on the platform, but it is no longer available this year. It helps to have control over what each reimbursement report corresponds to. My use case is IT Manager managing the expenses for a startup. Pros I really enjoy how easy Expensify makes it to submit expense reports. I like the integration with credit cards for expenses to automatically show up. Cons I find the new redesign is making it harder for me to figure out what to do. Smart scanning fills in the details for you saving time. You can also forward receipts from email. Cons Sometimes it takes a bit to refresh your expense reports when you first launch it on the phone. I like that there is a way to preload labels specific for your company. You don't even have to type anything in - it can autofill the forms in for every receipt you upload, etc. Pros It's very quick and easy to upload expenses and I like that expensify does all the hard work of taking my receipts and combining into a monthly report for my employer. the UI is very easy to navigate Cons I haven't experienced any issues and I've been using Expensify for at least 6 years now.
