Receipt capture and expense submission can all be handled directly from the phone, which is particularly convenient when travelling or working offshore. There is honestly not much to criticize. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be better functionality when the network connection is weak or unstable, which can sometimes be an issue when working offshore. Apart from that, Expensify has been a great improvement to our expense management process. I like that I can quickly scan a receipt and move on instead of spending time entering everything manually. The app is simple, responsive, and does what I need it to do without making the process complicated. Pros The biggest thing for me is how easy it is to use. The AI receipt scanning is really convenient and saves me from having to manually enter all the details from a receipt. The app is also quick and responsive, and I find the overall layout pretty straightforward. I’ve had a really good experience with Expensify overall. It’s easy to use and has made keeping up with expenses and receipts much less time consuming. I haven’t had any major issues with the app so far. Cons Honestly, I haven’t come across any major problems. There are always small things that could probably be improved, but nothing that has really affected my day-to-day use. Pros Expensify is a great platform. One of the best features is simply not having to keep track of paper receipts anymore. You can take a photo of a receipt right within the Expensify app or upload one from your device. If a receipt arrives by email, you can just forward it directly to Expensify. The auto-categorization works very well, and I especially like how easy it is to create rules for recurring expenses. Once you've set up a rule to capture the appropriate details, Expensify can automatically fill them in the next time around, which saves a lot of repetitive work. The reports are also clean, organized, and professional. I've had no problem with my workplace accepting the Expensify report format as submitted. Cons As an individual user, you do have to put a little time in up front to set up the expense categories your business wants you to use, but once that's done, Expensify is a breeze.
