### "Ease of use"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Easy to learn, fast customer service, online videos help also. Love the features and the display windows

Pros

Easy to learn and use especially with new team members. Very helpful videos and customer service is quick and effective.

Cons

Some changes that are added to the program don't work for us and we can't alter them or go back to what we had previously

### "Fabulous Software - Curve"

August 19, 2025

5.0

Customer Service is OUTSTANDING!! They always are available and very helpful. They listen to your ideas for updates and have updates constantly.

Pros

Love the ledger and how it is INVOICE based, so you can easily reference what payments go to what treatment. Love how user friendly the system is.

Cons

charting - wish that you could still have the tabs but have the diagram show all of what is treatment planned. (that is the biggest complaint from the op side) It would also be nice to scan and item one time and add to 2 different accounts vs scanning it separately into both accounts

Reason for choosing Curve Dental

I felt it met our standards for what we needed. Was more user friendly then the others. Customer Service/Implantation team was more helpful. When doing the demo, Curve was on top with answering questions and having the info I needed/wanted.

### "Make the move and Master the CURVE!"

August 21, 2025

5.0

I am a HUGE Fan of CURVE. I am actively recommending to folks on a regular basis. It took a few weeks to retrain the way our team does things, but now the whole office is running smoother.

Pros

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that everything is in one place. Having the forms auto load into a patient chart saves so much time and reduces errors.

Cons

I am not a huge fan of the reports, mostly because I am still learning how to create what I want. But once I get what I want and save it, they're great.

Reason for choosing Curve Dental

OpenDental was like reading a text book. It had no color and was quite complicated. Curve in ENGAGING and VERY user friendly. Fuse simply couldnt compete, you still have to go outside the software for a lot of the things that are built into CURVE.

### "Great patient management software"

June 19, 2025

4.0

Good overall. Good and responsive customer support. They're constantly adding new function which is great.

Pros

Very modern looking and nice interface. Very responsive customer support. Easy to use and train new employees on how to use.

Cons

Curving Imaging and Gro are lacking in function. Some of the reports are also lacking in function and can be very confusing to use. Mobile access requires subscription to GRO despite the software itself already cloud-based.

### "Highly recommend Curve!"

August 20, 2025

5.0

Overall, I would absolutely recommend Curve to be used as a system for a dental clinic. Once you have the proper training and get the hang of using the system, it is a great program to use.

Pros

I like the insurance portion where you can add in any past benefits used and any other notes such as no coverage for certain things.

Cons

I do not love how viewing the x-rays are set up. I think imagining could use improvement. It would be nice for the images of tooth specific in that area, such as upper right or lower left side.

### "Great cloud-based software"

August 19, 2025

5.0

Great! I love cloud-based dental software and ease of use of of each module. I've been using Curve for over 10 years and recommend it, especially to start up dental practices and practice with multiple offices.

Pros

Online scheduling, CurveGRO (patient communication, reminders, texting, etc). UX is user-friendly. Almost no downtime.

Cons

Practice analytics could be a bit more robust (I think they're working on new features). Insurance estimates are sometimes inaccurate.

October 4, 2025

5.0

Pros

I love using Curve Hero—it makes managing our dental office so much smoother and more organized. The cloud-based system is fast, intuitive, and keeps everything from scheduling to billing perfectly streamlined.

Cons

Pros

Our busy dental office loves how easy it is to manage our patient schedule on Curve. It is super easy to use and navigate - even for team members that may not be as "tech savvy". We love having everything we need integrated into one software.

### "Curve is OK. "

March 28, 2024

4.0

The conversion was awful, as all conversions are. There are several things we expected Curve to have that it turns out, it does not (like a simple time clock program). The training was not great and all remote. Many staff members had a very difficult time with that. The response when calling in for support has been pretty good.

Pros

It is cloud based and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet or wifi.

Cons

There are many "options" needed that, hopefully, will be coming. If you print a receipt for a patient (they need for FSA or HSA) the tooth number does not print on the receipt. This has been an issue for several patients. Statements are not easy to process. The reports are unimpressive.

### "Highly Recommend"

September 12, 2022

4.0

We have increased production and decreased AR due to the ease of reporting which allows us to manage patient care so effectively.

Pros

Curve is a fantastic software for multi location practices!! Makes the management of all locations so easy and daily, weekly and monthly reporting is streamlined

Cons

It would be great if they would continue to work toward making it more Pedo/ortho friendly. Having the option of “mother” “father” instead of just contact or patient would be fantastic. Reports need to be tweaked to not consider our parents active patients. Payment plan option would be great. We would have used the software for both our Pedo and ortho practices but at the very least you need the ability to set up payment plans for ortho contracts which is not offered therefore we have to run on two separate softwares. One for Pedo and one for ortho. Non -ideal.

### "Better than what we had in some ways but still could use some work to make things easier for users."

September 7, 2022

4.0

Overall i'm ok with the program but still very upset at how much our data is messed up after the conversion and I don't feel like it's getting fixed. I keep getting things for us to do a "work around" but we don't have time to fix over 3k patient files. The conversion was awful.

Pros

The sidekick is great to see with the schedule.

Cons

Too much to type, but i don't like the way the claims are done the most.

Reason for choosing Curve Dental

Looked user friendly, and I thought it would automate more for me. It didn't but it is easy to use.

### "Okay"

September 15, 2022

3.0

Everyone involved with the sale, training, and set-up was great. There've been a couple times where one of us has called Curve for help and the Curve person seemed impatient or frustrated with what are probably dumb questions. I do feel that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and I are going to have to make time to sit with someone and have them walk through some EOBs/billing with us so we can get a better understanding. The training & homework went well, but it's hard to understand what you're learning until you're actually in it.

Pros

I loved the potential of it. I think Curve will be amazing after a couple more years of development. We were initially excited about the patient portal and online payments.

Cons

I think I've said it enough. We haven't been able to start on using the portal and payments because we are struggling so hard with billing. And maybe we're just not clicking and understanding the billing module. Either way, it's been a very long learning process. Not frustrated enough to quit Curve, but I wish we had a better grip of things.

### "Do not convert to Curve from Dentrix"

October 20, 2021

1.0

Curve is a nightmare if you are converting from Dentrix. Sending claims is a joke and we're basically using 2 softwares and doing double the work because SO MUCH data doesn't convert. If you want to manually enter in data for thousands of patients, then maybe you would enjoy it. They over promise and under deliver on all sides. We hate this software. Buyer beware! You will be paying double, because you will need to reference both. If you are starting a scratch practice is the only time I would even use Curve. Every problem we have, they just say we have to deal with...they don't even have the solutions. I'm surprised as many people use this software as they claim do. Also, our representatives don't call the doctor back when she has a need.

Pros

It was modern and seemed like it would be easier to use.

Cons

They don't convert enough of the data. You will still need access to everything in your previous practice management software, so you will probably end up paying for two services and not just one.

### "Preventing the 50K Mistake"

December 1, 2016

5.0

Each computer in the office is independent and isolated. They're "off the shelf" units and were purchased from Dell at extraordinarily reasonable amounts. No server, no contracted computer geek, no surprises. Most importantly, no added monthly maintenance fees. The support from Curve has been fabulous. What's the worst that can happen? Well, the system has gone down.....wow....we kept doing dentistry. The internet failed (U-verse fiber optic).... wow ....we kept doing dentistry. There are a tremendous amount of people connected to Curve and AT&T. These companies will be doing everything humanly possible to get back up and running. It's their livelihoods. If (when) your server is hacked (oh, that couldn't happen to me! ..... yeah...think again) or when it fails the office geek has to repair or replace it. The time just starts to fly. So do the dollars. Your time is not the technicians time. Bottom line: the software delivers all the needed features necessary to run a contemporary dental practice. It provides the necessary metrics easily. The folks at Curve are responsive to their customers needs and seem to be in a constant upgrade mode. If it's not yet available from them, they report that it is something they're thinking about. They deliver on those promises. Financially, hardware is stock and minimalist. It can also be as advanced as available but the software works on it all. It integrates easily with all my digital add ons. Monthly fees are reasonable when compared to the other products available. Most of all, the cost is cheaper then the monthly maintenance fees for the "big time all encompassing " software packages and the original outlay of 20+k for the software isn't necessary. Every member of the team finds their own shortcuts/ techniques to move through the software. We had a very small learning curve at implementation and new employees grab it almost immediately. The upgrade I await is the access to all of the patient records from my mobile devices. Currently I can access the schedule and patient information only. I look forward to being able to make appointments directly from my phone. I recommend this system constantly. I've not been disappointed at any time since implementation three years ago.

Pros

Ease of integration and ease of use

Cons

Inability to access the actual product from my mobile devices. I want to be able to interact with the entire product from my mobile devices(iPad, iPhone)

### "Let's Smile loves using CURVE Hero and CURVE Gro"

We LOVE Curve Dental!

Pros

The customer service is outstanding. When the dental team has a question on a certain topic, they go to the Curve Community and easily look up the topic. The instructions are easy to understand step by step directions. We also love that this software is cloud-based. We travel throughout SE Minnesota into school-based dental clinics. This software allows us to access patient charts no matter where we are located in our outreach progra.

### "Can be used anywhere."

April 19, 2022

3.0

I started my practice with Curve Dental and sure there have been issues but overall, they have been a benefit to the running of the practice. I have had staff say it is the easiest software to use.

Pros

I like the fact that it is cloud based so can be accessed anywhere you have internet and Chrome and is automatically backed up. Tech support are very helpful.

Cons

I do not like the charting as it is very basic and you can not tell the difference in material of restorations. Getting reports can be a challenge and often takes tech support to get what is needed.

### "Be Cautious"

November 17, 2022

4.0

I would be cautious if you don't have a bunch of dental background and the billing could cause you to lose patients like it has for us. We took over the office and it had not run correctly so we inherited the billing mess. Curve was not able to help us decipher what had been entered or why. So ultimately we were not pleased with the software.

Pros

The ability to see on the cloud and have multiple locations was really an amazing software. Ease of clicking and customizing everything was great. Customer service was amazing and they always answered.

Cons

Cost was very high and they charged for everything on top of the monthly fee if you needed to add a Dr. to the practice and have an extra user there was a cost. This software seemed like a baby in comparison with other dental software and was advanced technically (cloud and clicking to customize was very modern) but not when it came to how it needed to be used in the managemnet prospective and reports it seemed to lack development. Billing was so confusing with the invoice options and was impossible to give a a good quote and collect correctly.

Reason for choosing Curve Dental

Cloud ability.Multiple offices.

### "Absolutely love Curve!"

September 6, 2022

5.0

I love the reports that Curve has readily available whenever we want to look at something. They also have a lot of charts available to see the practice at a glance.

Pros

We love that Curve has the capability to do most everything we need for our dental practice! Messaging to patients, online payments, scheduling, claims, insurance verification, etc. They also make it very easy to talk to an actual person when and if you need them along the way.

Cons

There are a couple of items that we have submitted as suggestions to Curve (which they tend to implement tickets along the way). These include the option to create forms in other languages, specifically Spanish as our patient base does include Spanish speaking patients. Also, Curve needs the function to create CMS-1500 forms to send to medical insurance as we currently use an outside software for this.

### "Three dental offices"

April 14, 2019

5.0

Excellent. Curve is the best of the cloud. And the cloud is way better than any VPN type system and far superior to use and maintain and manipulate and backup than any internal network would be. As simple as a high speed internet connection, an unmanaged gigabyte switch and internet connections. Wireless works too, I just like the speed of most of the workstations in the operatories wired in. Less load on a wireless router in a big office. Curve took us through conversion from Dentrix, training of the staff and the practice manager and has been there through our inexperienced moments. The doctors didn't even train and they picked it right up. The software improves over time for the better and it was great to begin with.Curve Hero has been a great decision. I couldn't be happier.

Pros

Intuitive. Written with the end user in mind. The trusty "Sidekick" feature (get it? Hero...) on the right of the screen let's you quickly work through a patient. Once I was used to seeing between two offices from any location I was frustrated the third wasn't online yet. I could never go back. The combination of cloud management, lack of internal Network IT needs (an internet connection, Google Chrome, and Adobe Reader and Flash and you're there) and the user friendliness and cuteness of the software and I'm hooked. No bridge between most digital x-ray formats. We're using Scan-X and looking to upgrade to Plan Mecas CBCT ProMax Classic at all three locations.

Cons

There is a lag during the prescription writing portion of the "program." You have to wait a bit before it starts to respond. After that... Zoom. Also, if you need a new image taken you need to refresh charting and then go back to images. Sometimes, it doesn't like to let me modify images gamma, light, dark, inspect/zoom in. None of these are huge difficulties. I would not change companies.

### "I love Curve - even with its quirks!"

September 6, 2022

Pros

Curve is really user friendly. Their support team is helpful and they take suggestions into account.

Cons

I would like to have a notes function that is specific to certain aspects of the patient's chart - such as billing or appointment notes (i.e. patient can come in earlier). These notes are not related to clinical care, so I'd like to have them in a separate place than the clinical notes.

Pros

Charting, patient communication, and reporting are outstanding. Also very happy I can access patient charts, xrays, and reports from my phone any time, anywhere.

Cons
