Pros

Very user friendly, good price, customer service.

Cons

This program cannot be be changed using fields and customization; it needs to be designed for an American office, not Canadian, ie DOB and DOS fields; The very worst feature is trying to build a simple report - it is confusing and time consuming

Pros

I like how detailed you can get in the insurance payment plan, I like that I can access it from home.

Cons

I hate that changes that I asked for over 2 years ago, still haven't been made. we need to be able to apply the deductible to xrays (Not the entire preventative section), I don't like that we can enter if the deductible has been met for the year. thats to name a couple items

It's easy to use. I can log in from anywhere if needed. The team continues to improve and update the software features which keeps us on the cutting edge of dentistry.

Pros

The flexibility it offers to the providers! Having it be web based, allows providers the ease of logging in anytime and anywhere, no longer being stuck at the office to finish work.

Cons

It would be nice to have the capability to write a note on the patient statement. There's space to have it. ( Example: your monthly payment is $ )

Pros

This is the best software we have used for multiple doctors in multiple locations. It is also cloud based so we don't have to worry about a server going down or losing any information.

Pros

The automatic back up to the cloud makes us feel very secure. We had a data dump due to a lightening strike a few years ago. We spent many hours working to recover what was lost. With Curve we will never have to worry about that again.

Cons

I do not like the redundancy of this software. I spend entirely too much time re-entering the same information. I REALLY hate the insurance part of this software. Updating information is ridiculous! It really stinks that there is no way to update the carrier for a particular group!! We have many patients that come in with a new plan at the beginning of the year. It is miserable trying to make sure that it is updated for everyone in the group individually. Plus it makes for a lot of extra plans in the system..

The customer support team at Curve Dental is AMAZING!!! They are there any time you need a hand and will jump thru hoops to get the job done.

Pros

It is extremely customizable. It is amazing how much great information you can get from the custom reports.

Cons

The fact that it is so customizable is a pro and a con. You can create any type of report you can imagine, using hundreds of different parameters. BUT you need to figure out what reports to run on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Xrays aren’t as clear as I’m used to. I hate that I can’t auto charge interest on account receivables.

Jazzy looks, Ease of use, NO MORE TECH CONTRACTS!!!

Cons

Costly when doing add ons...feels a little “nickel and dime” style. This isn’t a cheap product, but not many other industries (used daily, with cloud back-up, charge near this rate. Because it’s dentist, the price keeps climbing...there will be a breaking point or a mass abandonment when a fair-priced competitor comes along...just sayin!!!

Cloud access at home makes it easy to check on patients and work remotely. Sleek design and simplistic design makes the main features easy to use.

Cons

Making reports can be confusing, some very standard/simple reports not available. Many tweaks and issues that we were told were being worked on havent been resolved in 2.5 years.

Cons

Billing is a invoice based rather than ledger, but it's easy enough to learn. Just difficult to train for since everyone needs training for it.

Pros

I DID like the fact that help was always available until this point.

Cons

I was promised that there would be immediate help when it came to urgent issues. I needed a provider to be added to Curve system so that she/he can see patients and properly bill the insurance companies. I was told that there is only ONE person in the whole company that can do that and that no one else can help me. After 20 or so phone calls, voice messages, and emails I finally threw a fit so they had the supervisor activate the provider on the account. Obviously it was a matter that took less 5 minutes to do and I had to leave numerous messages and had been pushed around for over 24 hours on this matter. This is unacceptable and I cannot believe the service I received. This is a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

We’ve been using it for many years. It is easy to use, costumer service is great. They made some updates and included new features, such as reminders, which we really like it to have all in one product. Also, now we can customize/add notes to treatment plan, which is great!

Cons

Since they’ve updated the treatment planing, that we can now add notes to it, I can’t think of any cons.

Cost savings no server to upkeep

Pros

Ease of charting and upload and organization of templates for images. Accounting breakdown of invoices. Patient portal and ability to send new patient paperwork is fantastic and saves so much time at appointment.

Cons

Insurance profile is too limiting as well as the word processing options in Curve. The capability to send statements needs to be reworked, need direct access to account from A/R reports with capability to send letters add account notes etc. tracking of statements and account out reach needs to be all in one area.

### "The Best Customer Support in the Biz"

I have yet to see a dental software that has all of the functions that we would like, but Curve is by far the closest to nirvana. We also feel that the web based nature of the program positions curve well for future functionality and industry growth. The bottom line is that any downsides to the software are small in proportion to the upsides.

Pros

The software is absolutely beautiful and is well setup for fabulous treatment plan presentations. The software can be accessed from anywhere so when I'm a passenger on the way home, I'm often online via a mobile hotspot updating notes or sending out a claims batch. Since the entire program is web based we don't have to worry about managing a server which cuts down substantially on downtime and IT costs. Gendex x-ray imaging integration is quite good, allowing for direct import of images without a bridge. Curve's customer service is truly the best that I have seen with any software company ever. If there is an issue, Curve will resolve it, usually immediately.

Cons

Some of the twain integration is a bit clumsy at the moment, primarily with intra oral pics. Curve is working on a new release however which should alleviate these issues. There are some additional functions that we would like to see with billing, but these are in line with challenges we've faced with other softwares.

On the clinic side it was fairly easy to use. We did get frustrated with the treatment planning tabs. Billing/accounting side was a nightmare having to open multiple windows all the time.

Pros

Cloud-based! Charting was easy. Dragging and dropping was nice.

Cons

Accounting was difficult having to open multiple windows especially if there were many family members. Billing was frustrating since you couldn't partially complete a claim and go back to it if you were interrupted by a phone call or patient interaction. It was difficult to confirm that we had placed patients on the proper recare. Reports were too comprehensive, when wanting and aging it printed out all the patients with their names, etc. Just wanted the tallies.

We definitely had to make a change in our practice and this was huge! Now that we are a couple of months in I am happy to say it is all behind us! There are changes that we would like to see and we have sent in many tickets. Hopefully we will see them come to fruition.

Pros

From my stand point which is mostly office oriented, I do like the software now that I am more familiar with it. I love being able to see both our locations on one screen and to be able to work at both locations from my office. Reporting is different but I like it. I love being able to navigate all over from the appoinment screen.

Cons

I did not like how our training was run. It was very confusing and not hands on. The trainer jumped all over instead of sticking to one thing before it was learned. Our clinic has had the most difficulty. We dont like how the charting is set up to show work that needs to be done vs what has already been done. Colors are faint and runs into another.

### "Disappointed in Curve Jacking my rates by 500%"

Dont get curve unless they agree on a long term fee structure. They will kill u in the end once your deep into integration into ur practice.

Pros

I have been a curve customer for 7 yrs. Overall it's a solid platform but I simply cant get over the fact that they jacked my rates by 500%

Cons

Here is my gripe and it's a big one. They raise my fee from 250 per month to 1000 per month. They did it because I was not smart enough to lock in a lifetime rate and I have 9 doctors and two locations. They kill me for each doctor per month and no quarter for part time doctors. They used to work with me because they understood the part time folks should be burdened with a full fee. Other issue is they fail miserably with two practices sharing info about patients.

easy dental software

Pros

It is very user friendly and easy for a person who is scared of computers to use. Reports and lists are easy to access and creating forms take less than a few minutes making front desk responsibilities a lot less stressful. Charting and clinical features are also great and improving as time goes on.

Cons

Accounting aspect took a bit to get used to as we were used to a different software. It lacks some features that other software like Softdent and Dentrix have.

Easy to use. Easy to train on. Quick replies when help is needed. Curve community is so beneficial!

Pros

Any time I have questions I get them answered right away and if the representative doesn't know it they take the time to find out the answer and get back to me right away. Also its VERY user friendly and teaching others to use the software is super easy.

Cons

Sometimes it goes slower than I'd like but that's also probably our internet. I wish there were ways to customize the treatment plan wording and to include a signature line. I also wish that a feature would be added to notate if deductibles have been met for patients or if the maximum was used by all services or only some.

I love the whole platform but for my specialty in Perio the perio charting needs a lot of work.

Pros

The ease. It is very intuitive. Everything just flows, specially letters and notes.

Cons

The perio charting is messed up, confusing and inaccurate. It's embarrassing as a Periodontist trying to use this and send to general dentists. I've asked for changes and modifications and corrections to get this up to the industry standard for Perio charting but to no avail.

started in May 2018. I am not the most tech savvy person but I picked up on Curve very quickly. I have been very satisfied overall with its ease of use. I can custom tailor the business reports to my specifications, which comes in handy.

Pros

Ease of use, intuitive nature, clean design, support is good for the most part.

Cons

R-copia, found out that I was deactivated without my knowledge. Cost me 1/2 hour of my time (and paid staff while nothing was getting done).
