Pros

I like that the x-ray feature already comes installed. It is super awesome to use and easy to read. I also like the diagram that it gives you with different ways to place a cavity or crown. It lets us show the patients exactly where the problem is with detail and no confusion.

Cons

I wish that this program Had a better intake look. It doesn't allow us to customize without having admin rights.

Pros

The fact that it is in the cloud. Scheduling is easy. The charting is easy to use and consult with. Easy uploading of files and letters.

Cons

Insurance portions needs work. With it would let you account for the deductible on preventative work or if it has been met. Treatment planning needs to reference date created.

Pros

I can bill through EDI which is a huge time saver. It also does a great job tracking clients recalls.

Cons

The periodontal probing chart is awful. It requires a complete overhaul in order for me to consider using it. The recall system for the dental hygiene department is less than ideal with respect to altering a clients interval between treatments.

Pros

Customer Service Ability to customize Intuitive Ability to access information from anywhere (cloud based) We have 5 different offices (each on it's own database). We like that we can streamline each individual database to mirror one another, thus allowing us to move staff members from location to location without having to learn the ins and outs of 5 different databases.

Cons

Because of it's ability to be customized in so many different ways, it can be frustrating to make a decision. Also the system has many hidden abilities which is sometimes time consuming to navigate. I have had some complaints from our clinical staff about xray quality within the bridges created for xray software to integrate with Curve.

Really like Curve, very user friendly, so many great shortcuts. Customer service is always excellent - everyone very friendly and helpful. As we are a paediatric office, I would like to see an update where payments can be applied to either parent without changing the RP. ( a drop down in account payment should be great).

can be expensive. If you dont have a good strong internet connection than the software runs slow too.

Customer service was a let down. Waited for a good while in a queue and then the connection dropped out.

I love it, just started my own practice and I skipped having a server and a wired service. Very intuitive, and pleasant to look at and work with. A+ software.

Pros

No need for server, always updates automatically, and having integrated imaging allows radiographs can be viewed anywhere in the office or at home. Don't have to worry about maintenance, done for you. If you have to move, there's nothing to move, you just open it up in another computer with internet. Easy way to become chart-less and paper-less (if you really want that).

Cons

need a good reliable and fast internet service, it can get pricey as time goes by, since you don't get to keep it.

We are still getting used to Curve & trying to learn to love it, but it is VERY different from what we are used to. Thankfully the customer services is incredible & very patient.

Pros

The options to customize things like tags, confirmations, reports...

Cons

Some parts of the software are irrelevant to our oral surgery practice and therefore not used. Claims and billing are hard to keep track of because the options we were comfortable with when running reports are not available. The online forms we are having a hard time with because of the way we need the patients to sign/initial and the options for multiple signatures are not available.

Pros

The front end benefits from using Curve! You can create billing statements that are easy to understand, post payments and manage dental insurance claims. Customizable billing statements with the office logo is available, this is a nice personal touch. Tons of options are available for the clinical tools. You can easily create charts, view perio charts and enter data along with extensive notes about each procedure and treatment plans. It offers appointment reminders which is very helpful!

Cons

I haven't run into any issues yet! So far everything has been working seamlessly for the office.

So many! I can be paperless and if I ever need help, I am confidant I will receive the best help.

Pros

I love the customer support. If I ever have a problem, big or small, I know I can call and speak to a 'real' person. They don't leave you on hold forever and are very attentive to your needs. I have used many other dental programs, (such as softdent, eagle soft, dentrix, open dental, patterson's), this is by far the best one I have used.

Cons

I don't like how the periodontal charting and entering patient's birthdays are set up. I also don't like the ala cart charges. I think there should be more package deals.

Pros

I liked that Curve was online. And that they seemed pretty good at getting to us if we needed help. Now I've only been with them for a week and a half, so time will tell.

Cons

I don't like that it takes a while to load the x-ray and process things. I am looking into getting a different internet provider to see if that helps, but I have the required internet speed. Also, during the transition, they missed quite a few appointments, and luckily, we caught it ourselves and had to spend a lot of time going over the schedule. I'm debating going back to Eaglesoft if a few things don't improve. I wanted to go paperless, but the way it fills out medical history is not user friendly, so we are going to have to scan in the medical history.

This software tries to be a complete solution to meet all of your PM needs. But in the cloud! It has everything you want. But not really 100% functional. Its hard to explain, just check it our for yourself!

Cons

It just doesn't seem feature rich to me. I feel like they need a couple more years of experience before they really can get going.

We recently converted to Curve on 4/1/19 and I am now ready to run statements as most converted balances (outstanding claims pre: conversion) have been paid. I have dealt with several people re-statements and the customer representative has been outstanding in EXPLAINING WHY and HOW the filters work. I have his name written down and will ALWAYS ask and wait to speak to him if I have any other statement related questions! Cheers to FINALLY understanding this process! Pros

We have used this software for 6 months in our practice, ProDentalFX, LLC, Jersey City, NJ. The product is aesthetically and ergonomically superior to traditional computer-based practice solutions like Dentrix. The interface is streamlined yet highly functional. The fact that all data is cloud-based protects us from disaster in case of computer theft and allows instant access to our practice from anywhere in the world. Support has been friendly and helpful. The developers are responsive to our needs. We complained about the lack of lockable notes at one point; they followed up and added the feature we needed.

Cons

We have experienced perhaps two instances of slowdown over six months, which we consider to be acceptable.

Pros

Overall look of software is great. It is also easy to add notes and customize templates.

Cons

Billing/Ledger is difficult to use. It would be nice if you could categorize by patient name in an entire household. Also patient portal is difficult to use.

Pros

Scalability and ease of setup and integration. I also love the portability and anywhere accessibility. I typically work on treatment plans on my way to the office while my wife is driving using my wireless phone as a hot-spot.

Cons

The native billing statements are a bit clunky but we have circumvented this issue by using a 3rd party billing provider to print and mail our statements which appear in a more legible fashion.

Pros

Curve is one of the first dental practice software systems to be totally on the cloud! The other big names in dental practice software are just starting to develop cloud systems, but Curve is totally on the cloud. We can access the whole system from any computer with a secure internet connection. The company is also fun and quirky, and that is reflected in their marketing and communications. It makes you feel like you are part of a fun team! And it's easy to use!

Cons

The security settings need serious improvement. Sensitive patient information (like SSNs) should be masked, and admins should be able to control the settings for each user more. There are several items that not all of the staff should have access to or should be read-only (like prescriptions, billing information, the ability to modify invoices and write-off balances, and some functions in the admin section).

Highly recommended. Easy to learn , easy to use, well-thought-out software that eliminates the typical hassles of dental software...all at a rock bottom price. What's not to like?

Pros

Web-based design is a new way to work with dental software. It eliminates the need to upgrade the program, no more worries about data backup, meets all HIPAA privacy concerns, eliminates the need to have data protection in place. Software is intuitive and easy to use, support and training are excellent. Monthly subscription is very reasonable and removes the typical high-cost barrier to purchasing dental software.

Cons

Company doesn't have a long track record...yet. Image management is a work in progress but they have made great strides to date.
