Pros: It is mostly easy for employees to see how to enter and submit their hours. We do a payroll 2 times a month. Customer support has been good.

Cons: When trying to do something a little different or pull reports that are not regular, its hard to find where to go to accomplish that. Often when I get the path, I think " O I never would have tried that spot". so......reports could be more user friendly and more specific to what you actually do in that place.

Program is easy to use and assures me we will have no compliance issues

This survey captures my position with Cash Flow Resources LLC but the company using this software is Durable Piling Restoration, LLC

Cons: We have nothing to report in this area. On one occasion we had nothing going on and APS had to suspend our account. While an issue at first, we were good to go once we booked new business.

Overall: Peace of mind that Durable Piling will remain in compliance with applicable government reporting and required payments.

It has been always interesting to learn something new about APS

Comments: I like APS team work

Pros: APS gives you a lot of opportunities to realize your ideas regarding your job. It can suggest different ways to make your work easier and practicable.

Cons: I think I'm a bit conversational person regarding interface changes and APS changes its interface very often. At first I feel a little bit uncomfortable, then that feeling goes away and the next day I think that interface changes are interesting ))

Pros: Easy to use, easy access to all payroll info needed. Compliance with IRS requirements. Customer service is reliable

Cons: System is very slow on Monday of payroll week. Many changes whenever there is an update. We are not notified if there will be any changes

Comments: APS was recommended to me from another company, I was a little skeptical to try it, but I am very glad we did. We have had great customer service from day one! The program was easy to learn.

Pros: The ability to adapt to our specific time needs. Also the ability to have multiple users according to specific pay groups. Reporting is also very user friendly.

Cons: The only con we have is remembering to refresh the screen often. Printing some reports are also a little difficult with Windows 10, but it seems they are always working on trying to improve the printing.

Excellent customer service, very user-friendly interface, great reporting tool.

Pros: Clean and user-friendly interface that manages all the intricacies necessary for our company. Reporting tool manages to create great looking PDF reports and provides an extremely wide range of topics and pre-loaded report templates.

Cons: When creating reports in excel with large amounts of data the reporting tool fails to create a report comparable to the PDF function.

Overall: This has been the most time-saving tool I have used for payroll yet. My number one benefit has been peace of mind! I know that the customer service representatives are there to support our organization at a moments notice.

I have had a wonderful experience using APS as our payroll software. It is a great product and site!

Pros: What I like most about this product is how everything I need is available at any time I need it as well as being very easy to navigate on the site once logged in. It is very user-friendly and helpful with all needs that I may have as well as requests needed for employees. It is as easy as logging onto the site and clicking two to three times to get exactly what I need. I have had to run reports for myself for office functions as well as a request from an employee and it is always very easy and helpful. I believe we get our money worth by using this product on a weekly basis. It seems to fit all our needs as a company and my needs as an administrator. I have had to call on our account manager a few times and when doing so, every time she has been extremely helpful and efficient in helping me find and get what I need to be done. The quality that this software offers us as a company is hands down the best I have ever had. I have worked with APS for several years now. At one time I processed payroll with APS for about 1500 people bi-weekly and I now do it weekly for about 10. So whether you have 1500 or 10 people to conduct a payroll for weekly or biweekly, APS has made it very efficient and easy to navigate their product and easy to search and find exactly the reports needed. I look forward to watching them grow while we grow and using them now and in our future. There would be no other company that I feel could compare to or offer what APS has been able to do for us. The BEST quality!! From the site to the account manager, they have not only met but exceeded our expectations.

Pros: This is easy to use product with great customer support. It is perfect for our small company. I love the fact that since it is all web-based, I can process my payroll from anywhere that I have an internet connection.

Cons: Would like to be able to download an individual employee's attendance record in a calendar format for a good visual representation of attendance.

Overall: Quick, effcient payroll processing with the flexibility to write paychecks on the fly, if necessary.

Pros: Great service, software is easy to use. The reports are great and easily made custom to your needs.

Cons: It is missing a few features on the scheduling side. Also you cannot enter a pay raise to take affect on a certain date, but have to wait until after payroll to submit.

Pros: The customer service at APS is unmatched! We have been extremely happy with the product as well as the service we have received since day one. From APS' sales team to implementation, to the tax department, to our account managers--we have been pleased with the ease of being customers!

Cons: There are not a lot of shortcomings with this product! I wish I could say the same regarding other companies we have used. The one thing I do with the product could do would be transferring employees between our companies on the APS platform.

Overall: Extremely easy to use and great interface! I would definitely recommend this product!

Pros: Customer support is fantastic. Any question I had was answered promptly and with details to help me make corrections.

Cons: The way to get back in touch with customer service via email was to go back into the APS site. I liked to call them rather than communicate via email.

Pros: The ease of use and the continuous addition of new features. The new hiring package allows for great record keeping and provides a great experience for the new employee.

Cons: The mobile app could be improved to allow some additional stability and functionality. The ability to include some more user specific security settings would be a plus as well.

Comments: Would like access to adjust certain features and reports, rather than paying a fee for the IT department to fix or create.

Pros: The software is super easy to use, customer service generally responds very quickly and the price is not too high.

Cons: Though customer service generally has a quick response time, occasionally it is terribly slow. However, the issue does get resolved.

Pros: The cost of this product is much better than most. It is easy to learn and navigate through. The support team is friendly and quick to respond.

Cons: The Benefits Administration portion of APS need some additional attention in order to meet 100% of our needs. It gets us by, however we have some manual calculating and entry to do. The reporting system requires you to pull two different reports when pulling certain information.

Pros: Easy to use software. The support I receive from our account rep is great. They are always quick to respond and have an answer.

Cons: I wish that there were some more intuitive features, like a customization person page so I can see the information that matters to me quickly. Other things that would be great would be an easy to use "paycheck calculator", as I have staff coming up to me asking me all the time "If I make X change, how does that affect Y"

Pros: It is able to track complicated tax situations across states and counties. Very easy to use and the reports are great and offers ability to create ad hoc reports.

Cons: Sometimes customer support individuals need more experience, however they are able to get a senior member to work on issues.

Pros: It keeps track of all of our payroll and HR functions. Our customer support person is always there to help.

Cons: I would like to be able to open more than one tab at a time. I may need an employee's personal info and also need to run a report on their income for a portion of the year.

Cons: The time needed to implement the software; however, you would get this with any software changes. It is definitely worth it, especially for the customization.

Pros: Everything is in once place. Payroll, reviews, goals, employee events, employee documentation. It's all in one place and available for the employee, manager, and HR to review when needed.

Cons: Auditing vacation or personal time is not easy. The audit requires multiple reports and those reports do not download using same format for easy combining of info. For instance, one report may show employee name as Doe, Jane (####). The next report may show the employee name as Doe Jane. When using formulas in Excel, your common denominator is your name. But if the name does not report in the same format on both reports, you cannot combine. The reports I am speaking of are already setup reports. I did also setup my own reports, but they reported the same way. This is one example of several that the formatting doesn't report the same.

Overall: Having all employee information available quickly both to employee and manager.

Pros: APS is super easy to use and they have great customer service. Any time I have a question, help is just an email away!

Cons: We often experiece ESelfServe connection issues.This could be part due to our Wifi, but it can cause extra work when it doesn't connect.

Pros: Easy and intuitive. Most everything is easily accessible and doesn't take long to figure out and if you do need help they offer such great support you'd think it was an internal department of your company.

Cons: It can be cumbersome to use if you are not at the same machine each time. You are required to verify and register each device (even browser) used.

Overall: Easy payroll management, electronic pay-stubs, HR resources, hiring and on-boarding site, payroll tax filing.

Comments: APS OnLine does a good job delivering enterprise-style HR software functionality to an SMB customer. However there's some complexity involved there and the price can move up quickly depending on the features you need.

Pros: Sophisticated configurability. Built-in payroll is a core offering. User-friendly touches throughout.

Cons: Separate portals for system administrators and employees. Lacks a news feed. More expensive than many other SMB-oriented competitors.

Pros: The Online program is easy to use, it does everything we need it to do, and it even calculates all taxes, etc. Would recommend to other companies.

Cons: The only thing it lackes is the time being logged in from our timeclock software. Everything has to be completed manually.

Pros: All of the figures are accurately depicted so I know exactly where my money goes. I am able to clearly see my statements as well as taxes.

Cons: I do not have any cons on the web version of the site. As for the phone application it can be difficult to link at first.

Pros: Customer support is great. Fairly easy to use. I like that we can store documents like our Associate Manual on the system for employees to review.

Cons: It should not be so difficult to pull a Gross Wage report on employees. I would think that is a report that almost everyone needs from time to time. HR and benefits need to have more features available.

Overall: Reduce cost from ADP. Also a dedicated account representative that is familiar with our business.

Pros: I love the ability to manage benefits for employees. Goodbye to the paper lists and trying to track people down! Employees can select options via the "eselfserve" portal and I have all of my enrollment and opt-out information maintained in one spot.

Cons: By our own choice, we provide payroll options to our employees that make it difficult sometimes to manage when there are multiple options for one employee. It gets tricky and we sometimes have to add codes, but APS really strives to help us with these payroll complexities.

Pros: It has everything you need for payroll, time tracking, accruals and reports. Our hourly employees find it easy to log in and out. It allows for accruals of many different types of time (sick, vaca, personal leave, comp time, etc.) I can run payroll reports of my own design.

Overall: Tax filing, time tracking for employees, reporting. I spend little time dealing with payroll.

Pros: Ease of use. Reports for everything. Any problem I have is quickly resolved by customer support, even when the problem is often my own doing .

Cons: Wish I could figure out rate of pay change report, but I bet it's there I just haven't found it.
I do find accruals to be a little confusIng, but that may be the way I set it up

Pros: It's very simple to add the necessary columns that apply to each payroll run which is great. If there are no salary changes, payroll input is a breeze! This system also keeps track of payroll changes and you can enter an explanation about each change. There are also tons of reports to choose from for all types of scenarios. The payroll audit reports is very useful.

Cons: Sometimes making corrections doesn't seem as simple a task as it should be. It would also be nice to have a feature that lets you choose multiple employees when attaching a memo.

Overall: Additional HR features as well as ACA reporting capability. APS also does all the quarterly reporting and yearly W2s.

Pros: The people - the implementation and on-going support is great. System it self is fairly easy to navigate.

Cons: What we got wasn't always exactly what we were told during the sales presentation; would have preferred hands on training rather than watching someone "click" through the screens.

Comments: Overall, it takes the grunt work out of processing payroll.

Pros: Very simple to navigate. Nice to have a place for employees to log in and view their information. Complex tax filings are handled for us.

Cons: Does not fully customize to create the level of detail we need on payroll journal entries. There are still some manual processes that must take place which we'd prefer to be automated.

Comments: I like the ease of the training as it is done in steps, which really helps you take it all in. I think the layout of the website could be a little more friendly as sometime you have to look around to find where data is located.

Pros: The ability to merge HR / Payroll / Insurance all into one system. They have a great training system.

Cons: There is no mobile app though you can log into their web site via mobile. The app would make it more friendly to use. At this time they can not import data from files to documents so that it is automatically populated, also the employee can only electronically sign the form but cannot add any information to the form.

Comments: We've been using APS for 2 years. It's easy to add employees, change their deductions and monitor their hours and PTO. Employees like the ease of a web-based timekeeping system. Customer service is always polite and very responsive.

Pros: Easy to use, changes update automatically. Web-based so employees at multiple sites can always access it to enter time or view paystubs. Customer service has been great.

Cons: Employees would like a little more access to update bank account information and deductions.

Recommendations to other buyers: Great value for a small company, it's easy to use and having an integrated payroll and time-keeping keeping system saves time and energy.

Comments: The mobile website could use some work. I would like to stay logged in, but whenever I do the screen stays blank. I would actually really like to have an app to log in and use my tough ID as my password. I do like the time card set up, that part of the website is nice. I also like how the scheduled time off shows up on my home screen. The accrual balance for my vacation is confusing though. I would like the accrual to show up on the first of the month, since we are supposed to get them on the first of the month, not in the middle of the month.

Pros: The customizable reports and vast array of features.

Cons: It isn't always intuitive which tab will have the option I'm looking for. For example, it took me a while to find "setup benefits" because it is under Admin.

Overall: Having the option to create customized reports has really been helpful and we couldn't ask for better customer support. The few times we have had issues, the team at APS has always been quick to help us resolve them.

Our account representative is always very helpful and knowledgeable about any questions I may have. Comments: After about 6 months with APS we have no doubt it was the right move to leave ADP. Gone are the 45 minute wait times to speak with a random representative. With APS we have a designated rep and team who are accessible almost immediately. Our move was not only dictated by sub-quality of service, but as a non-profit, was also driven by cost. Our payroll costs were reduced by almost half. Every report type we conceivably need is included in the pricing, where as, some of these reports cost extra with our former provider of service. Staff are extremely satisfied with ease of access for the electronic time clock, as well as, ease of use with the employee portal. I did not give 5 stars across all categories as our company has a complex PTO program which has proven to be minor challenge for APS. No company is perfect, but I think they're close.

Pros: Ease of use, full functionality

Cons: Even though a QBO extract can be created, currently it can't be created and automatically pushed to the QBO system I am using, it is a manual process.

Overall: From the sales process to company setup and ultimately support, the APS team has been an incredible experience and one of true partnership. They get the job done.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you fully understand your payment calendar and the different types of payroll runs you may be performing

Comments: My overall experience with APS has been great!

I love that my account manager remembers and knows all about the previous conversations we have had as different payroll needs have come up. This allows me to pick up with her from where we left off and build, brick by brick, another level of knowledge about the APS software.

Pros: It's easy to use.

Cons: It does so many things that sometimes I pick the wrong option. But that's more a training issue than a software issue.

Overall: I'm been using APS about 3 weeks and so far it's done everything I needed without any problems. Easy and efficient and hassle-free - just the way I like it.

Pros: Easy to use, takes you step by step through the process. Very simple to train new employees in payroll prep. Self service platform for employees is terriffic also.

Cons: None

Overall: I hvae been utilizing APS online payroll processing as well as datavault storage for important employment records for a few years now. They are a very efficient, well run organization witha great software platform.

Recommendations to other buyers: No, just that it has been amazing to use and saved us time and money.

Pros: You've thought through the ways that I need to be flexible. Software is comprehensive.

Cons: I need a To-Do list (I know everyone's list is different) to walk me through steps. Videos are great but I don't have time to view a lot of videos. I need to learn fast.

Overall: As a Start-up business, I don't have time to manage all of the major "requirements" manually. I have to rely on great partners and established proven software to keep the train on the tracks. Stacey, Beth and others at APS have been exemplary in their support.

Recommendations to other buyers: Like having an HR department in-house (without the headcount).

Comments: The website is not too user friendly. It took me a while to learn everything. There are still some area of the website that I am unsure of. Also, no one seems to be in a good mood when I call. I always feel like I am a disturbance when I call, therefore I prefer to communicate via email unless it is an urgent situation.

Comments: Great experience with software. We have had the software over 2 years now and started with only 100 users and now using is for payroll and human resource operations for over 175 employees. We use the application for finding job applicants as well. The software has allowed for onboarding new employees to go very smooth.

Pros: Intuitive design and easy to customize. Good value.

Cons: Functions required of administrators is increasingly complex.

Overall: Payroll systems have gotten increasingly complex - with new features, reporting requirements, documentation, etc. It is nice to have a payroll processing partner that allows a broker interface. We couldn't handle open enrollment and benefits administration without our broker working directly with our payroll company.

Recommendations to other buyers: Working with CPAs and Benefits Brokers is a good idea.

Comments: The one on one customer service is one of the main reasons our company switched after being with the former PR system for 15 years. The CSR are eager to help and are quick to respond to your needs. The software is user friendly not only from an administrator side but from the employee side. Our employees love the eselfserve so they can review all items in their own user profile. I highly recommend APS for your payroll needs.
