Pros: What I like most about this product is how everything I need is available at any time I need it as well as being very easy to navigate on the site once logged in. It is very user-friendly and helpful with all needs that I may have as well as requests needed for employees. It is as easy as logging onto the site and clicking two to three times to get exactly what I need. I have had to run reports for myself for office functions as well as a request from an employee and it is always very easy and helpful. I believe we get our money worth by using this product on a weekly basis. It seems to fit all our needs as a company and my needs as an administrator. I have had to call on our account manager a few times and when doing so, every time she has been extremely helpful and efficient in helping me find and get what I need to be done. The quality that this software offers us as a company is hands down the best I have ever had. I have worked with APS for several years now. At one time I processed payroll with APS for about 1500 people bi-weekly and I now do it weekly for about 10. So whether you have 1500 or 10 people to conduct a payroll for weekly or biweekly, APS has made it very efficient and easy to navigate their product and easy to search and find exactly the reports needed. I look forward to watching them grow while we grow and using them now and in our future. There would be no other company that I feel could compare to or offer what APS has been able to do for us. The BEST quality!! From the site to the account manager, they have not only met but exceeded our expectations.

Pros:
We have been with the company for almost 7 years. Above all the customer support you receive is fantastic. During our tenure with the company we have had a few different reps due to promotions, but each one has done a phenomenal job. They always return phone calls and emails in a very timely manner, they troubleshoot issues immediately and have even helped process payroll for us when our payroll manager was out with the flu.

Cons: The only issue we run into is transferring employees from one location to another. Currently, if an employee transfers to a new location there are multiple steps needed to transfer that employee's profile. The employee must be terminated in one location, and then all information must be re-entered in the new location. It would be ideal if we could transfer an employee without having to terminate and duplicate the profile in the new location.

Pros: Everything is in once place. Payroll, reviews, goals, employee events, employee documentation. It's all in one place and available for the employee, manager, and HR to review when needed.

Cons: Auditing vacation or personal time is not easy. The audit requires multiple reports and those reports do not download using same format for easy combining of info. For instance, one report may show employee name as Doe, Jane (####). The next report may show the employee name as Doe Jane. When using formulas in Excel, your common denominator is your name. But if the name does not report in the same format on both reports, you cannot combine. The reports I am speaking of are already setup reports. I did also setup my own reports, but they reported the same way. This is one example of several that the formatting doesn't report the same.

Overall: Having all employee information available quickly both to employee and manager.

Pros: Office employees are able to clock in and out, request time off electronically and receive approval electronically.

Cons: For this software to allow the field employees to clock in using a job name. We are a subcontractor organization and our field employees clock into the jobs they are working on. Also, it would be beneficial if once the time is captured in APS that the hours could be uploading in Workflow Max the hours worked on each job.

Overall: The software has been great capturing the time of most of our employees without myself having to manually input. The ability to customize our vacation and PTO benefits for our employees. Once the payroll has been processed, APS takes care of direct deposits, filing taxes, creating checks to be printed for live checks and deductions. Employees being able to access their information online without having to request myself to make the updates. Having mobile clock in and outs.

Pros: The customer service at APS is unmatched! We have been extremely happy with the product as well as the service we have received since day one. From APS' sales team to implementation, to the tax department, to our account managers--we have been pleased with the ease of being customers!

Cons: There are not a lot of shortcomings with this product! I wish I could say the same regarding other companies we have used. The one thing I do with the product could do would be transferring employees between our companies on the APS platform.

Overall: Extremely easy to use and great interface! I would definitely recommend this product!

Pros: The cost of this product is much better than most. It is easy to learn and navigate through. The support team is friendly and quick to respond.

Cons: The Benefits Administration portion of APS need some additional attention in order to meet 100% of our needs. It gets us by, however we have some manual calculating and entry to do. The reporting system requires you to pull two different reports when pulling certain information.

Pros: This is easy to use product with great customer support. It is perfect for our small company. I love the fact that since it is all web-based, I can process my payroll from anywhere that I have an internet connection.

Cons: Would like to be able to download an individual employee's attendance record in a calendar format for a good visual representation of attendance.

Overall: Quick, effcient payroll processing with the flexibility to write paychecks on the fly, if necessary.

Pros: Easy to use software. The support I receive from our account rep is great. They are always quick to respond and have an answer.

Cons: I wish that there were some more intuitive features, like a customization person page so I can see the information that matters to me quickly. Other things that would be great would be an easy to use "paycheck calculator", as I have staff coming up to me asking me all the time "If I make X change, how does that affect Y"

Pros: It keeps track of all of our payroll and HR functions. Our customer support person is always there to help.

Cons: I would like to be able to open more than one tab at a time. I may need an employee's personal info and also need to run a report on their income for a portion of the year.

Overall: This program works very well with our unusual payroll. It keeps with with all our payroll and HR needs.

Pros: APS has unlimited resources and reports and the customer service if great. It has safety nets during the payroll process that makes mistakes virtually impossible.

Cons: Occasionally the system slows down on the processing speed. The speed is generally back up and going within a couple of hours.

Pros: Ease of use. Not complicated for someone with little tech skills.

Cons: Actually nothing...

Overall: I run a small business and before using APS I was spending hours every month doing payroll, taxes and making sure all the guidelines were followed. I thought it would be too expensive to have a payroll service manage it for me. I spoke with one of the customer service reps at APS and they showed me how I could spend less than 20 minutes per payroll but still have the peace of mind that it was being done correctly. I am probably the least tech savvy person on earth but I am able to do payroll twice a month, have all the taxes paid correctly and have the end of year reports and W-2s done in a flash. What a relief! Customer service is always very helpful and knowledgeable. The cost if very reasonable and if I add up all the time I used to spend doing this it probably saves me money! I would definitely recommend this to other small business owners.

Pros: ease of use, great support and assistance setting up program. User friendly for employees. Less hands on work for payroll and management.

Cons: Would like to learn more about different parts of program, which APS did more online training or education.

Overall: Customer support replies quickly and questions and issues resolved in a timely manner. Great time clock program, easy to use for staff and payroll managers. Great value for the money.

Pros: We can migrate our scheduling software hours and pay for payroll. The customer service is good except they close 3 hours before we do.

Cons: It needs a Tab for each employee for their paystub history. The Benefit Enrollment or Opt Out process needs to be simplified. There needs to be a Check Calculator for Net to Gross not just Gross to Net.

Overall: We can migrate our scheduling software hours and pay for payroll. The customer service is good except they close 3 hours before we do.

Overall: I have been working with APS for 5 years. My account rep Georgia and Mrs. April have been there for me for everything from setting up Health Care for my employees for the 1st time to assisting in creating reports to help me do my job more efficiently. I have referred a friend with a similar business to use APS instead of an accountant for payroll and they are seeing great savings.
I cant imagine considering any other service.

Pros: Ease of use. At first (if this is new to you / your company like for me) it seems like a lot of information and a lot to learn. It is a lot of information but so very easy to navigate. Super user-friendly. Getting answers to questions is a cinch and multiple ways to get them. From the self help which truly is step by step, simple to understand or I can call, email or submit a request. I have done all of the above for the littlest of things and I always find or get my answer, almost immediately. Everyone on the "team" that I have had contact with has been great and always kind. The best part is having everything we need at hand from Payroll to HR and employee services.

Cons: What I liked least, though it was temporary was the "set-up" of services. There seemed to be "too many hands in the pot" so there were misunderstandings about what services we wanted or needed and I felt I was resubmitting documents repeatedly to different people or departments that didn't know they already had them.

Recommendations to other buyers: Do your homework. I met with, researched, compared and evaluated many options and providers of the services we were looking for, which was everything. From the "big" guys to the "little" ones. Overall, we went with APS because not only did they come highly recommended but they also are very personal. It was important to me and for our small and growing business, to be able to have direct contact with someone and that would get to know us. We have our own team with APS and that is a huge plus. With that, we have all services, one platform that also allows us to empower our employees. Definitely the most bang for your buck. Great services and not overpriced.

The best thing is the customer service. The system is easy to learn and works for what we need.

Pros: I like the customer service and how quickly I can get assistance or answers when needed. Once the system is learned, it can be operated with ease.

Cons: I think there are other systems that are more advance, although as I said before this works fine for what we use it for.

Pros: Real time reporting has allowed for better decision making. Efficiency and accuracy has been improved with electronic timekeeping.

Cons: Sometimes it is slow to load. Also, I would prefer one website with one login rather than two for administrators.

Pros: I love the ability to track daily hours, time off requests, etc., so that I don't have to wait until paper timesheets are turned in at the end of the payroll period.

Cons: Some of our employees have had issues with clocking in/out on eselfserve. There is also an issue with them being able to clock in/out with their mobile phones, even though they have been granted access to do so.

Overall: I have had the pleasure of working for CPAs as a bookkeeper and handed 100's of clients and their payroll needs for over 15 years. When I went to work for a large church, I needed more than just a payroll system so I tried several. I received multiple complaints from employees, so I decided to research others. I put out a request to a third-party who gave me 3 referrals. One was APS. The price was less than what I was paying and we received more services. It has been a blessing.

One other complaint for me was a payroll representative revolving at other companies. I had several contacts for the seamless setup, but one thereafter. She is amazing! She serves her clients with quickness and professionalism. I love APS and tell everyone I know about them.

Pros: Ease of access and entry of payroll

Cons: Identifying 1099 consultants by name and company name. I would also like to be able to print out a report when I enter a new employee for our employee file

Overall: Customer service is wonderful! We have a little disconnect with our 1099 consultants in that there is no way to enter company name (LLC) and the person associated with it so we can do a search either way when trying to locate someone in the employee list which requires me to keep a spreadsheet for cross reference. Other than that, we have been extremely happy with APS and have no reason to change.

Pros: While working on implementation, I was amazed at all the options and possible ways I could setup our account. Completely scalable to meet any company needs regardless of size. Reporting options are extremely comprehensive but if they don't have what you need, you can use Report Builder and make your own report. Employees love it because they can obtain their own credentials to gain access to their private payroll information. From there, they can update address, W2, etc, or just see their paystubs. APS also tracks in/out times for non-exempt employees.

Overall: It saved me time doing payroll and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Pros: Customer support is great. Fairly easy to use. I like that we can store documents like our Associate Manual on the system for employees to review.

Cons: It should not be so difficult to pull a Gross Wage report on employees. I would think that is a report that almost everyone needs from time to time. HR and benefits need to have more features available.

Overall: Reduce cost from ADP. Also a dedicated account representative that is familiar with our business.

Pros: The overall support and features in the software makes payroll very easy, the customer support for a issue is very well structured, that is there is one account manager for my account

Cons: Have to search some of the reports that i need to since there a some many. The report sections can be redesigned to make it user friendly

Overall: It makes payroll a breeze as well as accurate, less headaches from the Government regarding taxes being over or under paid, and APS takes care of the necessary regulations for payroll. The account managers is hands on for all the issues i have pertaining to payroll

Pros: Staff is very friendly and always available to assist. Easy to use. Tracks both our paid time off and paid sick time. We are a smaller company (less than 50 employees) and it fits our needs.

Cons: The only con is that it is hard at first to run reports.

Pros: The costumer service is great and individualized. The smooth payroll process has helped our institution tremendously by allowing us to become more efficient.

Cons: Our institution is very unique as we have student and professional staff who utilize the time and attendance feature. We struggle with some customization limitations within this module.

Pros: APS is very user friendly. Also easy to upload my timesheets from Excel to APS, which eliminates errors. Great customer service. Updated frequently adding more options for users. Exporting reports to excel is very simple.

Cons: Almost all of the reports I generate for payroll I do not have any problems with. However; the only real con I have is when creating reports, I cannot chose how I want the columns listed.

Pros: Ease of use, compliance changes and availability

Cons: System sometimes does not allow employee clock in or out on occasion.

Overall: I love the way APS is available by telephone or email to answer any of my questions or for any assistance I require. APS is constantly keeping up with the latest rules, regulations and laws to incorporate into the system to easily allow our company to be in compliance.

Pros: It is very user-friendly. It is easy to manage. It is the best software that I have worked with in my HR and Payroll positions.

Cons: The time needed to implement the software; however, you would get this with any software changes. It is definitely worth it, especially for the customization.

Overall: It is user-friendly and the staff loves it. Everything is located in one place and easy to find.

Pros: I really love the personal touch that you get with APS. After the implementation, I was assigned an account manager, who's direct line I have. If I have any questions or issues at all, I pick up the phone and call my account manager directly who will help me...there's no call center or auto attendants to fight through to speak to anyone.

Cons: My only complaint about APS would be with the report builder. It is a bit cumbersome and I find it doesn't always give me the information I need.

Overall: I really like that using APS is as simple as it can be. Running payroll every other week is quick and seamless. I also love that they take care of filing and paying payroll taxes on my behalf. That service in itself pays for itself.

Pros: Ease of use and ability to make changes quickly.

Cons: Some reports aren't available and are hard to figure out how to create. I can set scheduled hours to keep employees from working beyond shift schedule.

Overall: APS meets all of our needs as a small business with fluctuating payroll needs. We can access the system anywhere with an internet connection. Changes and updates can easily be made and reviewed. They ensure our tax documents are filed in a timely manner. Communication lines are always open. Our account representative is always friendly and ready to help with any questions that we have. We've had a great experience over the last 6+ years that we've been using APS payroll!

Recommendations to other buyers: No other advice at this time.

Pros: Everything we need is in one package. I think the reporting capabilities are excellent (especially the report builder). All of the standard functions (employee additions, maintenance, documentation...) are reasonably straightforward to use.

Cons: Some of the advanced features can take a little time to learn. Love the report builder, but took a bit to get the hang of it.

Overall: The single biggest benefit was efficiency in our time-keeping and payroll administration processes. Better reporting has enabled us to make better decisions.

This survey captures my position with Cash Flow Resources LLC but the company using this software is Durable Piling Restoration, LLC

Cons: We have nothing to report in this area. On one occasion we had nothing going on and APS had to suspend our account. While an issue at first, we were good to go once we booked new business.

Overall: Peace of mind that Durable Piling will remain in compliance with applicable government reporting and required payments.

Pros: The reporting aspect of the program is wonderful. Lots of canned reports and an easy setup for custom reports. The tax reconciliation is a breeze. Worker's comp tracking is also a feature we like because we did not have that with our last payroll provider.

Cons: Font size for the screen has to be set at a small size to fully show how the screen is supposed to look.

Overall: Better tax reporting, more comprehensive reports and benefit tracking.

Pros: The ease of use for my employees.

Cons: The administrator back end is sometimes hard to navigate and not always intuitive .

Overall: APS has been a great. They provide a TEAM of customer care reps for each account. They answer your questions quickly and courteously. I would recommend getting the HR console too.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make the administrative end easier to navigate and more intuitive. The areas to click located on the bottom of screen are hard to locate at times for new users. They are small and not very obvious unless you know to look at the bottom of the screen (i.e. during payroll processing and other set up features). Make the administrative end look more like the employee side.

Cons: Some reports are difficult to find if they exist.

Overall: APS has helped by offering timely reports & reviews that would otherwise be very time consuming to create. The tax department can handle all states & municipalities with little company input. The staff is quick to respond to requests & questions.

Pros: Great service, software is easy to use. The reports are great and easily made custom to your needs.

Cons: It is missing a few features on the scheduling side. Also you cannot enter a pay raise to take affect on a certain date, but have to wait until after payroll to submit.

Pros: The software works on the Safari platform so I don't have to download other browsers. Although not completely intuitive, the software is easy to use and the customer service is excellent. I love how they assign one service rep for consistency but others are always available to help you if needed. I have used Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and Paychex, and hands down this is the best software we have found to manage our payroll. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Cons: Some of the features are not as adaptable to our needs as we would like, and some of the reporting capabilities are not intuitive, but again the customer service is far superior to that of any other company so it has really been a non-issue.

Recommendations to other buyers: Customer service and ability to correct user errors efficiently is key. If you are looking for a software that will make payroll less stressful and will do everything it says it will, this is the one for you.

The use of APS has streamlined the payroll and human resource paperwork process for the company.

Pros: I like the online features so staff can submit payroll anywhere and anytime. Also having all the information in one place so staff can review information without needing to involve others.

Cons: They have not been able to add Alaska as a time zone for the time clock. It seems to me to be a pretty simple fix.

Pros: Actually to use this software is not necessary to have great cybernetic agility as it is characterized by its ease and simplicity of use. APS has excellent customer service, has a large range of resources and reports, another important qualities is that wherever there is an Internet network you can process the company's payroll comfortably.

Cons: It should improve the condition of being able to print a report at the time of entering an employee, in another order of ideas should improve the process to obtain a report of gross salary for employees as it is a bit complicated.

Pros: I love the ability to manage benefits for employees. Goodbye to the paper lists and trying to track people down! Employees can select options via the "eselfserve" portal and I have all of my enrollment and opt-out information maintained in one spot.

Cons: By our own choice, we provide payroll options to our employees that make it difficult sometimes to manage when there are multiple options for one employee. It gets tricky and we sometimes have to add codes, but APS really strives to help us with these payroll complexities.

Pros: Ease of use. Reports for everything. Any problem I have is quickly resolved by customer support, even when the problem is often my own doing .

Cons: Wish I could figure out rate of pay change report, but I bet it's there I just haven't found it.
I do find accruals to be a little confusIng, but that may be the way I set it up

Pros: The work flow is so much better than any other system we have used. The ability to integrate the deductions with other vendors is excellent!

Cons: The reporting manager is a little confusing. If they all had better descriptions on what each report does that would very beneficial to the end user.

Overall: APS has changed the way we process payroll tremendously. We have been able to cut down processing time and improve accuracy across the board. I would recommend this system to any HR company in need!

Pros: It has everything you need for payroll, time tracking, accruals and reports. Our hourly employees find it easy to log in and out. It allows for accruals of many different types of time (sick, vaca, personal leave, comp time, etc.) I can run payroll reports of my own design.

Overall: Tax filing, time tracking for employees, reporting. I spend little time dealing with payroll.

Pros: Clean and user-friendly interface that manages all the intricacies necessary for our company. Reporting tool manages to create great looking PDF reports and provides an extremely wide range of topics and pre-loaded report templates.

Cons: When creating reports in excel with large amounts of data the reporting tool fails to create a report comparable to the PDF function.

Overall: This has been the most time-saving tool I have used for payroll yet. My number one benefit has been peace of mind! I know that the customer service representatives are there to support our organization at a moments notice.
