### "Aesthetically unpleasing and can't wait to change"

We wanted a system that employees could use but it's not intuitive and not visually pleasing. The onboarding process was painful for system setup, so we never subjected our employees to it.

Pros

The only thing I really liked was that they handled tax payments for me. Otherwise, it took absolutely nothing off my plate that I didn't already do with Quickbooks Payroll.

Cons

The system doesn't send reminders to run payroll. APS has emailed me a reminder AFTER the direct deposit cutoff. Not easily integrated with Quickbooks. I use several robust software systems and this is the worst and least intuitive. I've been waiting out the year so I can switch to another company. I'm on my third customer service rep and they each seem unhappier than the last.

I find the reporting features difficult to use, but I am new to APS and have had no training yet. Setting up employees and payroll items, and making changes to them, is fairly easy and intuitive.

Great experience, great service. Great value for sure!

Pros

The support for onboarding was excellent. They worked with me to get all of our needs met, and continue to be problem solvers for us. Customer service is top notch! I needed a lot of hand-holding initially and they worked with me until I was comfortable and confident that we were all set to go!

Cons

Onboarding took time, and required patience, but they do most of the work, and have lots of checks and balances along the way.

I have used this software for 6 years. It is easy to maneuver through choices. Customer support has helped IMMEDIATELY when I had to call in. You are directed to your rep or someone right away. Have been approached by others to change. If it's not broken, don't fix it!!

We only have two employees, but it takes me about two minutes to do payroll. I keep up with the hours throughout the period, enter them, and write a check! I have nothing to worry about! They also handle all paperwork with TWC and all necessary forms can be found in the DocVault! If I have a question, it is always answered very prompt.

Cons

sometimes it is hard to remember how do something if you haven't done it in a while!

Our company has used APS for about 8 years now and we love it. It's easy to use and everything is processed instantly. The reports are user friendly and can be customized to show anything you need.

Pros

It's extremely easy to use.

The limited options for graph display on the main tabs on the website.

Pros

I used this at a previous job and it was great for helping out with payroll. Very easy to learn!

Cons

We had some compatibility issues with some other software at first but once it was resolved everything worked great.

APS has been great , they have amazing customer service.

Pros

The ease of use within all sections of APS and everything is under one log in.

Cons

I dislike the time sheet approval process, to me and my team is seems backwards. And we dislike that you have to use the drop down when correcting time sheets instead just being able to type in the correct time.

Reason for choosing APS Payroll

The main reason for choosing APS over the other one we were looking at was because of APS Hire being included with the payroll program.

What I dislike about the program is that we have to do all the inputting versuses sending it over to APS for them to input everything.

Pros

APS is easy to use. It's intuitive, so I had no problems setting up new employees or running payroll. I like that I can quickly schedule payroll each month and don't have to worry about it. The customer service is fantastic! Any time I have a question, my rep gets back to me right away. She has even sent me reminders if I don't have payroll set up at my usual time.

The simplicity of the program is a great feature. It makes payroll a less of a strain, especially when I have many other things to do. Also, having all of the taxes and fees auto calculated is amazing!

The reports section could be expanded, to include greater detail.

Pros

All important data is in one easy location and quick to find. Everything is electronically logged and easily tracked. Great help with taxes!

Cons

Auditing reports took sometime to get them ironed out so they were more easily read and interpreted.

Having the option to create customized reports has really been helpful and we couldn't ask for better customer support. The few times we have had issues, the team at APS has always been quick to help us resolve them.

Pros

The customizable reports and vast array of features.

Cons

It isn't always intuitive which tab will have the option I'm looking for. For example, it took me a while to find "setup benefits" because it is under Admin.

I came into the practice not having prior knowledge of how to use APS. The APS team set up a series of training events to show me functionality (12 sessions in total) and were available to answer any questions I had over the next couple weeks. After the training I was significantly more confident about running the manpower aspect and having 4 people I can call at all times to answer questions is really great. Connie Crews always answers her phone and has always been cheerful with me even though some of my questions are simple in nature. Beth Craft messages me every few weeks to make sure I don't need any further training and she has been nice enough to track the usage to ensure I'm maximizing the product. The entire staff is helpful and I never thought this product would be so useful. It is much more than a payroll program, it is a total HR package that manages everything for you.

Payroll solution processes payroll for our company, time sheets are submitted and the software does the rest. We print our reports after receiving the email confirmation of completion. Year-end W-2's are done through the system too.

Pros

The software is online so no need to download onto your computer system. Easy to navigate.

Cons

Setting up new reports is a little complicated but not too bad once you learn how to use it.
