### "APS saves time and money"

I was especially impressed with the implementation process. APS employees stayed late and worked to get our first payroll out timely and correctly. We didn't have a missed or late payroll during the change over.

Pros

APS is totally automated. My processing time for a payroll of 230 employees went from 2 days to 2 hours. Supervisors and employees also save time and no longer duplicate work. Once submitted, APS is ready to run reports on the payroll within minutes. The support team is quick to answer questions and always courteous. We have no unresolved problems.

Cons

Reports are somewhat limited. No report can include information from the different categories. Time and Attendance can only report from the employee timesheets. Payroll can only report from the payroll module. Additionally, the automated process involves some rounding of amounts that sometimes need to be adjusted.

### "It fills all our needs and is very easy to use!"

Pros

I can pull any report I need to answer various requests for employee payroll records with just a few key strokes. It saves me time. Changes are quick and easy for rates, loans, deductions, dates, etc.

Cons

I can think of no problems with the software.

### "WE LOVE APS!"

APS makes payroll / hr work easy. They handle everything from cutting the checks to payroll tax deposits to the quarterly payroll returns and w2s. I don't worry about completing timely reports or being late on a tax deposits because APS handles it all for me.

Pros

The account managers are extremely polite and helpful and always resolve my issues quickly. I love having APS handle all my payroll needs because it takes the work out of payroll. I have had up to 3 businesses using their software at one time and it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made while owning small businesses. Plus, the production manager The support staff always goes the extra mile to help me!!

Cons

There seems to be a "glitch" in the Creating Payroll section that doesn't save the entered hours under time entry the first time you enter it, causing me to have to enter the hours more than once.

### "Easy to Use and Amazing Customer Support!"

Payroll is much faster to do now. While ADP worked, there were lots of links, tabs, and pages that could be overwhelming/unnecessary for a small business. Trying to find specific reports was a nightmare and customer service was non-existent. We are able to process payroll faster, get better answers and help, and have more time to focus on other aspects of the business.

Pros

Their customer support is the best! I love that we have a dedicated team of specialist that I can see online before I even submit a ticket. I usually get the same person, every time and she is very quick and responsive in helping solve any issues or questions I have. Coming from ADP where we had to wait sometimes an hour or longer to speak to a live person, being able to speak to someone in 5 minutes is AMAZING!

Cons

The ONLY thing I dislike about APS is the reporting output format. While it gives me the information I need, prior to exporting to excel or PDF, it always looks nicer on screen than it does in the printout. I wish they could keep the formatting of reports throughout which would be great. But that's really just nitpicking.

### "This Company fits our needs so well!"

Love having an assigned Customer Rep to work with. And our customer rep is supported with other customer reps if they aren't available when we call.

Pros

It is straight forward payroll processing. It has been well thought out by the software designers who strive to understand the client's needs for special reporting. We are a Farm Equipment Dealership with multiple locations. From our first day with APS they have worked to learn our business needs. We have also provided "tips" on how to make the products more user friendly and they listen and implement.

Cons

If they could streamline the HRIS module to interface with the Payroll module so employee information for some things such as deductions would not have to be entered twice that would save much time from the user standpoint.

### "APS Payroll Solution"

Pros

APS payroll solutions are very easy to use. They help me streamline my payroll process, they calculate and pay our state and federal withholding taxes after each payroll and they print our W2s each year. I can keep track of time off for employees. Our hourly employees can clock in and out for shifts. Employees have immediate access to all their payroll documents online. It is a great platform for us.

Cons

I can't say there is anything that I don't like about APS.

Pros

The website is fairly user friendly, and when it's not or I need more help, I always get a quick response.

Cons

My only complaint is nearly anytime I submit a request or ticket, I speak to a different rep. I like have the same dedicated person or team to work with, a go to person. It's easier for all, when someone is familiar with your company and set up.

### "Great Payroll Solution"

I really like that using APS is as simple as it can be. Running payroll every other week is quick and seamless. I also love that they take care of filing and paying payroll taxes on my behalf. That service in itself pays for itself.

Pros

I really love the personal touch that you get with APS. After the implementation, I was assigned an account manager, who's direct line I have. If I have any questions or issues at all, I pick up the phone and call my account manager directly who will help me...there's no call center or auto attendants to fight through to speak to anyone.

Cons

My only complaint about APS would be with the report builder. It is a bit cumbersome and I find it doesn't always give me the information I need.

We have nothing to report in this area. On one occasion we had nothing going on and APS had to suspend our account. While an issue at first, we were good to go once we booked new business.

APS customer service is the best of any company I've worked with. All reps are knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Other companies we looked into did not get good reviews in this area. Doesn't matter how great the product (and APS is great!)is if you can't get help when you need it.

Pros

Easy to use, very fast and tons of options.

Cons

Occasionally there are features that I think would be helpful that are not available but in most cases all were addressed and incorporated in future upgrades. They are very good about listening to customers and actually improving their system.

APS's customer service is exceptional. They are always quick to respond when I have something come up that I haven't seen before or something strange happens that I need help with. They have always been able to resolve the issue, and are very pleasant to deal with either by phone or electronically. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.

### "It does the job and is easy to use!"

Pros

Anytime we receive a request for a payroll report for an employee, the answer is only a few clicks away. We never worry about the accuracy of our payroll. The software is very easy to navigate even for an old guy like me (over 60). I would recommend this software to anyone that wants to get payroll done quickly and easily and accurately!

I can honestly say there is no problem that I can think of with this software. It's not often that you find a product that you can't find a flaw!

APS's customer service alone sets them apart from some of the major payroll companies out there, but their software is easy to use and easy to learn. The open communication and quick response from our service team was valuable throughout the implementation process, and now that we've settled in, it's so nice to be able to rely on a quick response and solution when we reach out to them.

Pros

\- Easy to find the data you need - Almost all of the reports I need are already in Report Manager and I don't have to use the builder very often, but the Report Builder is very easy to use when I do need it. - Organized in a logical way

Cons

The only thing we could think of was not necessarily a software Con, but we do have to file the our state L&I quarterly report ourselves now. APS even helped us find the right report to run and then we simply file it online with our state.

Overall, good way to record, but a bit cumbersome and sometimes give too much discretion to employees who record their own hours.

Pros

A good way to record hours. The software is quite cost-effective and simple. If you want a sure thing, ASP is the way to go.

Cons

It is more preferable to have a software that could automatically clock in and out. It might be troublesome to manually record everything.

APS allows us to manage time off requests and monitor overtime simply and quickly. Overall, the website is so easy to use that minimal training was needed for us to become proficient users.

Pros

The website interface is simple to navigate. Payroll management and processing is very simple and straightforward. Report options are plentiful and the analytics dashboard is easy to comprehend at a glance.

Cons

Reports are available on screen, in print, or as a pdf or csv. Being able to download reports in an Excel format would make report production easier.

I have been with APS for about 10 years and have been very happy with their service. I would definitely recommend their software. User friendly and if you get stumped... client service responds quickly.

Pros

Lots of features for a reasonable amount of money. Easy to use and make adjustments myself, but client services is always there when you need them. This software fits all my business needs.

Cons

A bit cumbersome when adding new pay types, such as bereavement pay. They don't cover worker's compensation.

### "It has been a great relief to not have to worry about filing the taxes."

The software has been great capturing the time of most of our employees without myself having to manually input. The ability to customize our vacation and PTO benefits for our employees. Once the payroll has been processed, APS takes care of direct deposits, filing taxes, creating checks to be printed for live checks and deductions. Employees being able to access their information online without having to request myself to make the updates. Having mobile clock in and outs.

Pros

Office employees are able to clock in and out, request time off electronically and receive approval electronically.

Cons

For this software to allow the field employees to clock in using a job name. We are a subcontractor organization and our field employees clock into the jobs they are working on. Also, it would be beneficial if once the time is captured in APS that the hours could be uploading in Workflow Max the hours worked on each job.
