Cornerstone gives me everything I need to run my practice. The support is amazing! I can customize it all I want and make changes as needed.

Pros

Ease of use (once you get used to it - as it is with any program), integration with the Idexx reference lab, the support is always friendly and thorough.

Cons

Pricey as is the support.

My over all experience with Cornerstone has been great.

Pros

What I like the most about this incredible software is the easy to use guidelines. Makes running a veterinary practice easier.

Cons

The only down side to cornerstone for me is sometimes issues with the server and speed depending on internet.

Pros

The software makes your job a breeze. Once you learn how to work the program, it eliminates loads of time to do other important things. The educational help is exceptional along with the customer services program. NO Complaints.

Cons

Deleting when doing posting could be made more user friendly, even though I feel it is the way it is because of security reasons.

We are just learning

Pros

Being a new user, we are most excited about what this program will be able to do for us as we continue to use it. So far we LOVE being able to e-mail records as well as being able to copy and paste into records. The customer service has also been wonderful. I really enjoy letting someone remote in and do the work.

Cons

One of the things this program doesn't have that our last one was, is the ability to have "hidden entries". We would like to have things in the patient record that we can see, but that we can hide on communications. We would also like to be able to see both (or all) owner names on the same screen

Pros

The functionality of the system is great. Customer service is outstanding. Cornerstone integrates very well with the Idexx lab systems. Xcharge is a great help getting everything easily into the system.

Cons

Issues with updates causing some down time. Some of the features are a couple of steps more than other systems I have used.

I don't use the practice management software much, but it is amazing that we cannot set it up to answer basic queries, like how often we dispense a medication each month.

Pros

Access from any desktop regardless of who else is working on files

Cons

Too many steps to access pdf files, too many steps for each task. Especially bad is lack of notification from Idexx labs when a lab test which was requested by telephone (like an add on urine culture) is complete. We have to keep our own written lists to be sure we don't lose track of these tests.

We recommend you contact Cornerstone Customer and Technical Support to walk through the steps you're taking to access PDFs, there could be an easier way to do that. We agree you should know when tests you added to an order are complete. Using the add-on feature in Cornerstone when you order lab tests will ensure you get those alerts and save you from having to keep a hand-written list!

We added the ability to email from within Cornerstone, and that's available in the version your practice is on. If you have something else in mind please let us know. The next version of Cornerstone comes out in spring of 2019, and in addition to giving it a fresh new interface we've improved the scheduler as well. Check it out and let us know how you like it!

We are now a VCA hospital and have switched to VCA's Woofware. We no longer use Cornerstone

Pros

I used it for several years and was very familiar with it.

Cons

We shared the data base with our sister clinic and some reports could not be separated. Also things like Petly Plans and The program that sent out client emails and reminders could not be separated and only listed one hospital which confused clients.

overall ability to see easily find mulitple things about clients/patients from one screen

Cons

price management is cumbersome, would like a searchable data base to find out costs of individual products w/out having to generate and search reports would like to search product use base on clients using them and how many sold in a time period, search boxes on reports are difficult to understand or organize

Cornerstone's integration ability from in house lab, merchant services, and IDEXX Lab made it a clear choice for our clinic. It is packed full of features and was easily customized to fit our needs. I'd recommend this product to other clinics with a little computer know-how as this is an advanced system. The learning curve is a little high, but it's definitely worth the time and energy. Oh yeah and customer support is available 6 days a week which is excellent!

Inventory Management was very accurate, and fit the needs of a busy Veterinary Practice. Multi-modal applications for all needs. Interactive boarding module and electronic whiteboard captures charges that are often missed.

Cons

The price is higher than other programs, and remote access is limited.

I have not had a positive experience with this product and do not get good feedback from others either.

Pros

This is a very difficult product to use. I really do not have anything positive to report. I had to have assistance with its use.

Cons

This product is not intuitive and relies on heavy training. Unable to get back into use after being away at another practice.

Pros

cornerstone is, imo, a leading developer for practice management. everything you need is at your fingertips. reminders. prescriptions, treatments. There is very little ive encountered that cornerstone cant do. i like this software and would recommend it to anyone unsure of a practice management tool.

Cons

Occasionally things fail, be it emailing records or importing records. ive never had issue getting it resolved though.

Pros

The software is, for the most part, user friendly and custom to the vet world. I really like the lab integration-when it's functioning properly.

Cons

There are some glitches with reminders, lab issues, document issues, import issues and keyboard issues. Most of which have been solved but not without hours of support; others we are still working on on a very regular basis.

Don't even think about starting out with this software. Buggy, slow, and if I could give customer support a negative review I would. Our hospital has lost literally thousands of hours to trying to Macgyver this junk into working. It has always been inefficient and had the feeling that it was kludged together, but now, months after upgrading to the recommended latest server and version of Cornerstone, it still isn't running properly, and Idexx shows zero inclination to help us. It fails to properly transfer from the lab to records. The server needs to be constantly restarted as the latest version leaks memory and eventually the server grinds to a halt. The accuracy of our records is becoming compromised, and the frustration of dealing with Cornerstone as our backbone is having an impact on morale. We are a seven vet hospital with 22 workstations, and we are now actively inspecting alternatives.

I wrote my own software that ran my 3 hospitals for years. But being a full time programmer and practicing vet and IT department became too much so we switched to Cornerstone. As an amateur software developer i think Idexx should be ashamed of their product. It has some nice features but so poor to use. You need to click 3 ok buttons to record a weight, and that's typical of how this software is set up. It doesn't follow Microsoft's basic use patern so it is difficult to learn and kludgy to use. Idexx bought this software to sell their lab work. I've heard rumor that no one at idexx really knows how to modify the software so forget about updates fixing any basic problems. I have it because i got it for free with lots of computers just because i signed up to continue using their lab. When my 5 year stint is up, I'll look at another software package because this one stinks.

Worst software I have ever used in my many years as a practice manager. Software is horribly buggy, crashes constantly, loses medical notes, changes prices, deletes items from patient visit list, and the problems go on and on. Their support people have been out to our practice for 12 hour days at a time on multiple occasions as well as making us spend hours on the phone with them trying to "assess the problem", to no avail. They have blamed it on our "workflow", "environmental factors", our cell phones being too close to the computers (???), and much more, but never admit that perhaps it is Cornerstone's issue. We want the software removed and our money refunded, which they refused. The next step is a lawyer. Just horrible.

I used this system at a veterinary clinic I worked at. This program has a vast amount of functions and can be used for more than just basic appointment scheduling. Great product to start your way to a paperless filing option.

Cons

A representative of the company came to talk to us about this new software. She answered A lot of questions and helped us navigate through some basic business functions, but I would have liked her to provide more time or a second day to assist us with this new system. Great software- but be sure all employees have enough time to learn all the great things it has to offer!

Cornerstone is a complex, robust, PIM system with both high and low points. Cornerstone support is top notch and the development team is always working to implement enhancement requests of their user base. The reminder function of Cornerstone is the best I have used. Gets the job done in day to day practice. I look forward to seeing what they bring to the table with each update.
