We use this for getting reimbursed from our work expenses. Entering the information is easy once you get used to it.

Pros

You can scan in receipts and it will auto fill most of the data in.

Cons

You have to reselect the expense for each receipt.

Pros

Very intuitive system that is easy to use and manipulate the data once entered. The technical staff is very helpful when I have had any issues.

Cons

There was a learning curve because I formally used Concur but the tutorials are great and walks you through any problems.

I have been using it for several years in my company and to be honest, i have zero complaints. Very easy and accessible trough my phone and website.

Pros

This software is very easy to use and the data is very accurate when you submit your receipts.

Cons

I think that maybe this software can use a little of the QR scanner system.

Ease of capture expense receipts on a mobile device and time savings with processing monthly expenses

Pros

It used to take me 45-60 minutes to organize and enter all of the receipts for a monthly expense report. Certify has turned that into a 15 minute upload, since I now have all receipts synced through my mobile phone.

Cons

I can honestly say that we have had few complaints from our user community that were brought onto the software. Even the legacy employees have embraced this new technology and thankful for the ease of automation.

I like how easy it is to take a picture of my receipt and use auto fill to capture most of the pertinent information.

Cons

It is not always intuitive how to edit information off the iphone. Sometimes I find that my entries are not saved so I need to double check before saving.

I would recommend this product to any company that wants to streamline their expense payable system. Takes away human errors, increases accountability thruout entire process and is easy to query and analyze and pay employees. At this time, I do not see a need for us specifically to add any addt'l features. It works just fine.

Pros

Certify has saved us significant time with making the expense report process much more efficient and also to capture data in analyzable form. We really don't have too many employees that have issues, whether its learning the steps or having errors. If in fact they do, selecting non-reimburable, or not understanding the process, it is usually one-off issues that are resolved. It's a reliable system and except for a few hiccups.. its been a smooth ride.

Cons

Any changes to reporting etc.. that was not communicated. this has been resolved and we have been told it will not be a future issue.

I had issues with Certify at first but that was actually my own issue, once I realized how it worked and was shown a couple of the features (Per Diem wizard etc.) It become quite easy to use.

Pros

Its ease of use, and functionality once I was shown how to use it properly.

Cons

I personally had issues when I first started using it, I did not find it intuitive.

Pros

What I like most about Certify is the ability to quickly organize any expense from business trips. Once research was a trial run was complete, our accounting department raved about this software and how much easier it made tracking the expenses!

Cons

Integrating Certify into Quickbooks proved to be more challenging than initially expected, but with just minor glitches every once in a while it was definitely worth the hassle!

Our company recently switched to Certify to capture travel and expenses. It's ok, but needs improvement.

Pros

What I like most about Certify is that the software puts my expense report together for me and takes care of the approval process.

Cons

What I like least is that the software needs some upgrading. It only allows you to take one picture of your receipt. Sometimes I have more than a page for a receipt. Also, the process can be a little complicated. There are expenses and receipts, which I am not too sure I understand the difference. Then you have to sync it. Then you draft an expense report, then you have to "auto" expense report. I believe this could be made much simpler.

the feature where the system sync with my phone and laptop, taking photos of bills so i don't have to keep them in my wallet.

Cons

some menus are a little clunky to work through and analytics tools could be better, moving items from wallet to claim etc could be smoother. maybe some more integration to other systems in the UK like TFL oyster card

In the long run this will definitely pay for itself in production hours as well as copying and postage expense. This has also streamlined our process.

Pros

The mobile app is the best part. The screens are user friendly and easy to follow. The customer service team during implementation was great. We had a template issue with our software and they were able to make it all work once we provided the correct template.

Cons

We received a bill starting from the time we signed the contract. We weren't even through implementation for another 30 days so we weren't using the product yet. We had to dispute the charge to get a grace period while our employees were getting setup in the system.

What I like the most is the features of tracking the expenses and sending the information to the project manager for faster approval. This software keeps records of all the information you enter, very useful to avoid any future problems on expenses discrepancies.

Cons

I think that the mobile app of the software can be improved. Also, sometimes it can have delays when a large number of items are being processed.

I like the easy upload process of receipts. It’s quick, efficient, and easily editable. The interface is also easy to understand.

Cons

The finalizing process is a bit unclear. I think there are a few too many steps, and it would be easier if the process was more streamlined.

A great tool that has brought relief to our Finance Department with our company. I appreciate the ability to watch the tracking of approval.

Pros

The ability to document and enter information with the Mobile App has been a game changer. As my travel is greater than 50% most days, this easily allows me to not fall behind on my expense reports.

Cons

The ability for transactions to merge has sometimes introduced an issue. I've found that troubleshooting these issues is best done on a desktop verses the mobile app.

Reason for choosing Emburse Expense Professional

Respectfully I did not have a hand in selecting which product to use, just assisted in the implementation and process after the final decision. As our company is based in CAN and I am located in the US, the ability of the converting USD to CAD has been a great feature.
