Staff Accountant Used the software for: ### "Certify Review" May 15, 2015 4.0 I'm the final approver and processor of all expense reports and I spend a lot of time using the Certify software. We have roughly 120 users that submit regular expense reports at least once a month. I find that Certify makes all of the necessary information easily accessible and available for me to breeze through the reports. When something is incorrect and it easy to spot because Certify flags duplicates and incorrect entries. I also find Certify useful when I am looking at historical expense reports or exporting data to show supervisors. The thing I am most happy with is the ability to link expenses that were submitted as non reimbursable and not linked to a P-Card. Recently we had this feature activated and now I can simply link the expense and when I export the P-Card report to expense our credit card bill, I do not have the gaps in coding I used to have. The main issue we have with Certify, is that people tend to have duplicates expenses in the report executive each month. Overall, I believe our company as a whole is pretty happy with Certify. Itemize one huge bill to multiple separate expenses, and able to add receipts for each individual expense. You can take care of each receipt right away, and then submit a full expense report later. I like to be able to take the image and get it in the system, and then create a formal expense report once I have the time to do so. Cons The artificial intelligence that pulls information from the receipts is good, but not perfect. It is also not easy to separate receipts into two separate categories--for example, pulling food expenses from a hotel bill and pulling lodging expenses from the same hotel bill requires you to upload the same file twice. Pros The ability to email receipts as pictures or pdf files is extremely useful and saves time. the automation in creating the expense is time saving. Cons the ability to delete receipts or expenses is not very intuitive and could be improved. I would like to tie it to my credt cards so that expenses could be sent automatically to the expense report. Cons as an infrequent user I sometimes have trouble figuring out how to edit something or when I'm advised I have an error it is sometimes not too easy to figure out how to fix it. Pros The phone application, user friendly, the Certify sync into Quickbooks tool is awesome and easy, the ease of attaching receipts, downloads are quick and easy, the inquiry button is a great feature. Cons Aside from one glitch we really don't have any Cons. The one glitch I'm referring to is when we email receipts to data@certify.com Certify is creating a 2nd receipt that contains our email disclosure language. That started happening sometime in 2012 and never did before. We've addressed this with support there was nothing they could do to fix it. This is minor and easily workaround. One other small con to mention is when you view an expense report it would be nice to view the expense report all on one screen rather than scrolling up and down to view the entire expense report. September 1, 2017 5.0 Pros Ease of use, and adding receipts is quick. The training material is helpful and it has allowed us to look at various hotels and flights quickly and easily. Cons At times, I have to look up how to do certain functions, as I don't use Certify each week. Most of the time I am able to find the answer pretty easily.
