The wallet is really helpful for "holding" expenses until the receipts are ready. Cons splitting expenses is not always and easy feature to use. I wish that could be a little simpler. The box that shows previous splits includes too digits behind the decimal point, so that the comprehensive list is sometimes cut off and I can't read it in one go. Review Source JD Jerri D. Certify is continually working on enhancements, most driven by customer request and/or suggestions. Their customer service and support have been wonderful, over the time it feels like you are dealing with an old friend. Pros Paperless processing of expenses, awesome reporting capabilities and easy of capturing receipt images on mobile app. Cons Our Auditing team would like the ability to move receipt image over to our second screen and have it change to the next receipt, especially for our larger expense reports. Using the system is MUCH better than the paper process we used to use. I imagine that our Payroll processing team shares the same sentiment. Pros The streamlining features - requests go to the right person for approval, requests are processed timely or escalated, communications can be recorded in the system Cons It took some back and forth to get used to the field completion requirements - especially related to splitting receipts, uploading additional images, and editing expenses sent back for changes (e.g. if the expense is not sent back a certain way, it cannot be edited). Sometimes the picture app doesn't always capture the correct dates and venue but overall does a nice job. They continue to come out with enhancements to which only make our employees lives easier when it comes to submitting their expenses! Pros Certify has always been willing to work with us to fit what we need in an expense reporting system. Whatever we've asked for they've never turned us down. What more could a customer want! Cons The only thing I could hope for is some ad hoc reporting. The reports are okay for what we need but every so often we need something specific and it would be nice to be able to get that ourselves. I currently use it for the iPhone, but previous to that I had an android. Using the Android I noticed many issues and had to reboot several times. Everything is on my phone. No paper, no saving paper receipts, no muss no fuss. I can't imagine not using it! Pros When traveling I can take pictures of my receipts at the time I receive them during my trip and then create my expense report once I'm back home. The program pulls my receipts in and creates an expense report for me including receipts. Everything is on my phone. I also love the auto read function. Most times the program can read the restaurant name, date and total. Even if the tip is handwritten in the program asks if you added 10%, 15%, 20% and leaves a box to enter an odd amount for the total. " June 8, 2018 5.0 The notifications keep my staff and me aware of approvals and/or corrections needed. Pros Certify offers a user friendly format with frequently traveled location in its memory bank. I like the fact that Certify notifies me of expenses waiting to be approved and notifies my staff of actions I have taken in approving or disapproving their expense record. We used to have to do all our reimbursements by hand, and this has made the submission and approval process streamlined. I love certify and has saved me so much time on reimbursements! Cons My only complaint is that If I want to print my report on a single page, I need to take a screenshot. It's easy enough to use, although it does require some learning, but it is great to only need to learn one system for all of my booking & expensing needs. Cons Certify is the trickiest to learn of all expense softwares I've used. It requires knowing all of your coding and information intimately, which has been easier for me to find within other expense report softwares, and the interface is not as beautiful or user-friendly as it could be. It allows the information to be neatly organized in one stop for all business expenses Pros This software is by far the easiest I've ever come across. We use certify for multiple different uses, be it a mid day meeting or a week long business trip. Certify allows you to search, compare and select the best price on flights and hotels in a flash. The best part is that Certify allows you to keep all travel expenses documented and accounted for, such as cost of cabs/Ubers & cost of dining. Cons The one thing I think could be improved it that the system can create a company based cloud to hold/auto fill the fields when booking. Review Source ES Evan S. Pros I like how easy it is to go from my phone to my computer for managing my receipts, and can merge them all into one expense report. Cons I don't like the fact that, when you get a question from someone who looks at your expense report, you can attach an image but you aren't able to see the image afterwards so you have to hope that it got uploaded correctly. Systems admin Used the software for: ### "My experience with Certify" April 9, 2015 5.0 I have used two other expense reporting systems over the years and I feel Certify is the best I have tried. I use the web based system to create and submit my reprots for approval and my smart phone app to capture my receipts. I use both fairly frequently and have only ever had a couple problems in the years I have used the product. Last month for the first time ever my phone failed to sync one receipt, but ht esoftware told me there was a problem so I just took another picture. Only other problem I have had is my first few receipt pictures still show up waiting to be matched even those the reprots have been processed. Again these were the first I did on my phone and it may be me who messed up. Sometomes I forget where to go to edit or fix an issue on a report and I have to look at the menus a bit, sometimes not as intuitive as I may wish but overall still very easy to use.
