Arlington, VA — Capterra, an online service that connects buyers and sellers of business software, has been named to the 2012 Inc. 5000 list, an exclusive ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies.
The rankings are based on revenue growth over the past three years¿a period that included some very tough times for America's economy. Capterra President and founder, Michael Ortner, says the power of software pulled countless businesses through. "I truly believe that software helped many of the companies on this list make it through those years. I'm proud to be a promoter and cheerleader for the business software industry." Among the 25 industries included in the Inc. 5000, the software industry had the 8th highest growth rate from 2008-2011 at 84%.
With 66% growth over the past 3 years, this marks the sixth consecutive year that Capterra has been ranked on this prestigious list. "It's always exciting to be recognized for our efforts," said Ortner. "We're constantly working to provide the information business software buyers need to make the best decision for their company."" Fellow Inc. 5000 recipients include HubSpot, Carahsoft and Facebook.
