Capterra, the leading online resource for business software buyers, announced today that it has published more than 300,000 user-generated reviews and ratings of software products on capterra.com. The milestone comes just seven months after setting an industry record for the most published business software reviews, with more than 200,000 reached in July of 2017.
"Software buying can be a confusing and overwhelming experience," said Claire Alexander, Capterra General Manager. "Capterra has helped millions of organizations learn about and connect with the right software for nearly two decades; so we've been able to quickly enable buyers to share their experiences with each other through a validated review experience."
According to a 2015 Capterra survey, 66 percent of software buyers said user reviews significantly impacted their purchase decision. The site offers buyers free access to user-generated insights across more than 500 categories and thousands of individual products.
Focusing on the future, Capterra is offering all reviewers an opportunity to support the next generation of female engineers. Now through February 28, Capterra will make a $10 donation for every review published to Girls Who Code, a nonprofit that provides STEM education for U.S. middle and high school girls.
