Pros

  • Overall it is brilliant to use, the customer support is good and the visualisation and vibrant color’s are great.

  • A great software that enables us to be happy individuals in business life. Easy to use, flexible and functional, a product with excellent service.

  • I pretty much like this platform because this platform could really help me organize our projects. It is really easy for me to track the progress of every project I am working on.

  • Ease to use as an end user, and a great dashboard / interface. Customization options for our specific project made it super intuitive, and there was very little learning curve.

Cons

  • The layout is confusing and hard to follow the chain of events in each task.

  • Some of the metrics or field that i need to be on the report is missing and no possible way to include it to the report as the customization of the report is not flexible enough.

  • This was a pain and eventually I stopped attempting to work around the lack of features I needed.

  • I don't like the "info boxes" feature because I feel it's limited. Textareas are tight and there is very limited text formatting, and the fact all boxes are collapsed by default.

"Monday.com for nonprofits"
Pros: We are getting Monday.com for FREE, which is amazing. That's the main reason we chose it over other products. I think it's wise for monday.com to offer this, because if our employees move on to other companies after being introduced to monday.com, they are more likely to implement it there if they are already familiar with it. I love the customizability of monday.com.
Cons: The time tracking feature. We are using another app for time tracking. Monday.com does a good job of tracking time for specific tasks, but we haven't been able to figure out how to track all of our time on a timesheet. While the customizability is great, sometimes monday.com can seem a bit advanced for our small org. There are so many features to explore, but sometimes it can be overwhelming or beyond our needs.
Alternatives Considered: Paymo
Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Monday.com is superior for task and project management, but we're still using paymo for time tracking & paying for that feature.
Switched From: Asana
Reasons for Switching to monday.com: We were using the free version of asana for our 3 person team, but now we are expanding use of the app to the entire org. Monday.com was the way to go because of the pricing and the flexibility. There are also lots of great tutorials.

"A tool that requires a lot of configuration to be useful in the long term."
Overall: This tool was very useful for initiating collaboration and visualizing the workload of a small team. However, after a year, it demands too much follow-up on its own. But it was an interesting step that allowed us to highlight areas for productivity improvement as a team.
Pros: A very simple tool, visually pleasing. It allows getting rid of the to-do lists of each collaborator, edited in their own corner. It's a good start for tracking a small team.
Cons: The tool still requires a lot of settings and, above all, maintenance. Otherwise, it becomes just another to-do list... but more colorful.
Alternatives Considered: Easy Project
Reasons for Choosing monday.com: The tool seemed easier to grasp than a traditional Kanban manager. And the teams seemed motivated by this novelty. The adoption process seemed almost pre-established.

"Monday has enough features to automate and manage your support teams and CRM tickets"
Overall: I would say is a good experience, mostly because the old platform didn't have all the capabilities and features of Monday, I like that we can generate workflow for every task that we want to automate, all in one dashboard.
Pros: Monday gives you access to many tools and dashboard for different tasks, what we love is the way that we can split our teams in different dashboards. Additional, in our enviroment we have differente dashboard one for each task, for example CRM tickets is one dashboard, Workhours is a different dashboard, this let us to automate and give different states to our workflows.
Cons: In many situations we want to integrate our corporate email address to CRM tickets but it doesn't work in good way, we want to be able to send email from Monday and keep that conversation inside the ticket, sometimes this is possible but many others a following email is sent to different tickets.
Alternatives Considered: Salesforce Sales Cloud
Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Previously, We had experience with monday for marketing tasks so we decided to give a change but for CRM tasks.
Switched From: HubSpot CRM
Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Hubspot was not good with automation tasks, the end customer database was not clean and had a lot of junk information and misinformation.

"Experience after 8 months"
Pros: It is easy to manage tasks, see reports on how they performed and tidy up the space. It is a fresh breeze if you switch from a kanban board. The tracking system is really good and the different views help a lot in making decisions for bonuses.
Cons: It was a little bit pricy and it didn't let us download our data after we stopped our subscription. The tool was a little bit resource heavy as well so it might slow down older computers.
Alternatives Considered: Jira, MeisterTask, ClickUp and Asana
Reasons for Choosing monday.com: The interface was much easier to use and it provided the most amount of features. Also compared with other alternatives the pricing methodology was more suitable (you can get 5 people plan and add other employees as guests)
Switched From: Trello
Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Kanban board was not enough for the needs of our team.
