You’re ready to trade in the excel spreadsheets, scribbled to-do lists, and room reservation Tetris for event management software. Like any consumer, you want to know the effect it’s going to have on your wallet. Of course, that depends on what you want to get out of your investment.

While I was scrolling down my Facebook newsfeed, I noticed an advertised shirt that said “Event Manager: Because ‘miracle worker’ doesn’t sound professional on a résumé.” Isn’t Facebook creepy that way?

I have a long-time friend who, over the past year, has worked hard to establish his own nonprofit organization. All of the time he spent organizing, planning, and networking to get his organization off of the ground really impressed me.

Events and fundraising have been forever changed thanks to computers and other technological advances. We have RFID technology to guide and inform event attendees, crowdfunding websites which bring our social networks together to do good, social media websites to spread the word about our deeds, and tons of guides at our fingertips that show us how to use all of it to our advantage. (And this isn’t even counting the importance of event management software.)

Successful relationships require time, patience, and lots of hard work. Romantic relationships always need an effort made on everybody’s part to ensure its success, no matter how comfortable you two have become. Otherwise relationships deteriorate and in the end, neither of you will grow as a couple.
