_**In this article, I share my picks for the seven best fitness software platforms. I ranked them on a blend of recent review volume and reviewer scores: ease of use, features, value for money, and customer support, across 1,346 verified Capterra reviews.**_

Choosing fitness software is harder than a sales demo makes it look. The real test comes later, once clients are booking classes every week, payments have to be reconciled, and the app has to work as smoothly for a 60-year-old member as it does for you.

So I went looking for the platforms reviewers say actually hold up in daily operation, not just in a demo.

I started from Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026), 25 [fitness software](https://www.capterra.com/fitness-software/) products in all, and re-scored them against the most recent two years of verified reviews (August 2024 to August 2026). The seven tools below combine strong reviewer scores with real, recent review momentum, listed in that order.

## My top picks at a glance

- **Everfit:** Best for online coaches scaling personalized client programs

- **My PT Hub:** Best for personal trainers who want a proven, feature-rich all-in-one app

- **Vagaro:** Best for studios and salons that need all-in-one booking, POS, and payments

- **ZENOTI:** Best for multi-location fitness and wellness businesses that need enterprise depth

- **FitBudd:** Best for trainers who want their own custom-branded client app

- **OfferingTree:** Best for solo yoga and wellness pros who need a website and booking in one

- **TeamUp:** Best for boutique and class-based studios that prize reliability and support

_Ratings and review counts reflect the trailing 24 months (August 2024 to August 2026) in this dataset. Starting prices are as listed on each product’s Capterra page in Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026), in USD; verify current pricing on the vendor’s site before buying._

## How I picked the best fitness software

I started with Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026), 25 candidates in all. I then filtered for at least 20 verified reviews and a 4.0+ overall rating over the past two years. That dropped Zen Planner (3.83) and Arketa (3.68), leaving 23 qualifying products.

Because a shortlist is a point-in-time snapshot, I re-scored the 23 qualifiers against the most recent reviews rather than lifetime scores alone. Mirroring how Capterra Shortlist combines popularity and ratings, I ranked each product on a blend of recent review volume and overall reviewer rating.

That keeps well-established platforms and top-rated newcomers both in view. I selected the seven highest-scoring for this article and held the rest in reserve.

TIP

Sort by reviews from the last 12 months, not lifetime totals. A tool with 150 recent reviews tells you more about today’s product than one with 2,000 reviews mostly from 2019.

## 1\. Everfit: best for online coaches scaling personalized client programs

_Increase client accountability with task and habit tracking. Provide holistic coaching and integrate mindfulness and healthy lifestyle changes for long-lasting results._

[Everfit](https://www.capterra.com/p/202837/Everfit/) tops this list with a 4.80 overall rating from 257 verified reviews over the past two years, and it is one of the most actively reviewed tools here, with 137 of those reviews in the last 12 months. It scores 4.84 on ease of use, the highest of any product on this list.

What sets it apart, in my view, is how much a single coach can run from one place: reviewers describe building and adjusting client programs, tracking progress, and messaging clients without juggling separate apps. The workout builder and exercise library come up again and again as the day-to-day workhorses.

**Key features**

- Drag-and-drop workout builder with a large exercise library

- In-app client messaging and progress tracking

- Automation and AI-assisted program creation

- Branded client mobile app

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about Everfit: ease of use and all-in-one client management lead the feedback, with responsive support close behind.**

- The workout builder and program adjustments are described as fast and intuitive

- Coaches value running programming, tracking, and client communication from one platform

- Recent AI-assisted program creation is called out as a real time-saver

**What users dislike about Everfit: the main gripe is cost at scale, framed as the price of consolidation.**

- Costs can climb as active-client rosters grow, though reviewers note that one platform still replaces several separate tools

“Everfit has made it easy to deliver a professional coaching experience for my clients. I appreciate the clean interface, exercise library, automation features, and flexibility to build customized programs. The app continues to evolve with thoughtful updates, and the support team has been responsive whenever I’ve had questions.”

Carolyn M., Exercise Physiologist, Carolyn Mueller Fitness (Everfit, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** Everfit fits online and hybrid coaches who want to scale personalized programming without stitching tools together. At 4.80, it clears the 4.31 category average by the widest margin on this list.

## 2\. My PT Hub: best for personal trainers who want a proven, feature-rich all-in-one app

_My PT Hub Hub dashboard (web browser, mobile app, Apple Watch)_

[My PT Hub](https://www.capterra.com/p/146651/My-PT-Hub/) earns a 4.68 overall rating from 421 verified reviews over the trailing 24 months, the largest review base on this list, with 151 reviews in the last 12 months alone. That depth of recent feedback is its strongest signal.

What stands out here is breadth backed by a huge, active user base. Reviewers use it to build workouts from an extensive exercise catalog, manage nutrition, message clients, and handle payments, all from one app that clients also use.

**Key features**

- Extensive exercise catalog and custom workout builder

- Client messaging and habit/nutrition tracking

- Branded client app on iOS and Android

- Integrated payments and packages

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about My PT Hub: ease of use and client management lead, with the mobile app frequently praised.**

- Building and assigning client workouts is described as quick once you learn the layout

- Trainers highlight easy two-way communication and client workout logging

- The extensive exercise catalog and built-in payments draw repeated praise

**What users dislike about My PT Hub: the main drawback is a short learning curve, softened by strong web tools.**

- New users report a learning curve and occasional app glitches, though most prefer the web version for building content and settle in quickly

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“I like that I can easily create appropriate workouts for my clients as there is an extensive catalogue of exercises to add to a workout. I also like that its easy to communicate with my clients and they can easily log workouts that they do.”

Mandy D., Personal Trainer, Mandy Dukes Personal Training (My PT Hub, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** My PT Hub fits personal trainers who want a feature-rich, battle-tested app with a large community behind it. At 4.68, it sits 0.37 above the 4.31 category average, backed by the deepest recent review base here.

## 3\. Vagaro: best for studios and salons that need all-in-one booking, POS, and payments

_Run Reports and track your business results from the dashboard_

[Vagaro](https://www.capterra.com/p/153752/Vagaro/) posts a 4.45 overall rating from 304 verified reviews over the past two years, and the most recent momentum of any product here, with 215 reviews in the last 12 months. It is the top-scoring product on the Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026).

Its distinctive strength is being a true all-in-one for appointment- and class-based businesses. Reviewers run scheduling, online booking, point-of-sale, payments, payroll, and marketing from one platform, plus exposure through the Vagaro Marketplace. That breadth is why it shows up across gyms, studios, salons, and spas alike.

**Key features**

- Online booking and class/appointment scheduling

- Built-in POS, payments, and payroll

- Automated reminders and marketing tools

- Vagaro Marketplace for client discovery

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about Vagaro: scheduling and booking lead the praise, with ease of use and the mobile app close behind.**

- The all-in-one setup of scheduling, payments, and reminders is the most-cited strength

- Online booking is described as reducing admin and no-shows

- Reviewers point to the Vagaro Marketplace as a source of new-client discovery

**What users dislike about Vagaro: the main gripe is paid add-ons, offset by the breadth of the core platform.**

- Some marketing features and custom forms need paid add-ons that raise the monthly cost, though the core platform still covers most day-to-day needs

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“What I liked most about Vagaro was its all-in-one platform. It made scheduling appointments, managing clients, processing payments, and sending automated reminders easy from one place. The interface was intuitive, and the online booking feature helped reduce administrative work while making it convenient for clients to book appointments anytime.”

Kate L., Sales, GHGC (Vagaro, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** Vagaro fits studios, salons, and spas that want scheduling, payments, and marketing under one roof. At 4.45, it clears the 4.31 category average, and no product here draws more active reviews right now.

## 4\. ZENOTI: best for multi-location fitness and wellness businesses that need enterprise depth

_ZENOTI Appointment Book_

[ZENOTI](https://www.capterra.com/p/131057/ZENOTI/) carries a 4.65 overall rating from 149 verified reviews over the last two years, 64 of them in the last 12 months. Its strongest dimensions are customer support (4.66) and functionality (4.60).

What stands out, in my analysis, is enterprise-grade depth aimed at businesses running multiple locations. Reviewers point to complete appointment and membership management, online booking, marketing, and increasingly AI-assisted features, often replacing a previous platform while paying about the same.

**Key features**

- Multi-location appointment, membership, and staff management

- Online booking and integrated marketing

- AI-assisted features for growth and operations

- Hands-on onboarding and implementation support

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about ZENOTI: customer support and all-in-one functionality lead, with value for money frequently noted.**

- Many reviews single out onboarding and implementation specialists by name

- Reviewers report gaining significant functionality without paying more than their old tool

- Multi-location membership and staff management draw consistent praise

**What users dislike about ZENOTI: the main drawback is a learning curve, expected given the platform’s depth.**

- The platform is feature-rich but not beginner-friendly, so reviewers stress the value of proper onboarding

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“Zenoti offers great value for the money. We are paying nearly the same as our previous software while gaining significantly more features, including AI integrations that can help support business growth. Appointment management and online booking have also been easy to use. The customer support has been excellent.”

Hannah S., Business Administrator, Massage and Wellness Spa (ZENOTI, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** ZENOTI fits growing, multi-location fitness and wellness businesses that need enterprise depth and want strong onboarding to get there. At 4.65, it sits well above the 4.31 category average, though its higher starting price suits established operators.

## 5\. FitBudd: best for trainers who want their own custom-branded client app

_Personalized workout videos_

[FitBudd](https://www.capterra.com/p/227564/FitBudd/) holds a 4.64 overall rating from 154 verified reviews over the past two years, 45 in the last 12 months. It scores 4.68 on customer support and 4.62 on ease of use.

Its distinctive angle is letting a trainer launch a fully custom-branded app and website, their logo and their app on iOS and Android, rather than putting clients inside someone else’s platform. Reviewers who want their business to look like their own choose it for exactly that.

**Key features**

- Custom-branded client app for iOS and Android

- Preloaded workouts, meal plans, and exercise library

- Client tracking, messaging, and reminders

- AI-assisted program creation

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about FitBudd: ease of use and customization/branding lead, with responsive support close behind.**

- The ability to fully brand the app and website is the most-cited strength

- Reviewers describe the onboarding team as responsive and hands-on

- Preloaded workouts and meal plans speed up initial setup, per reviewers

**What users dislike about FitBudd: the main drawback is setup time, tied to the branding payoff.**

- Getting the branded app fully configured takes some initial setup time, though reviewers say the custom result is worth it

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“I love how this app meets all my coaching needs! It’s simple, easy to use, and the customer service team responds quickly to any questions I have. I appreciate how customizable the app is, allowing me to make it truly my own. My clients love it as well, which is the most important part!”

Chris G., Lifestyle Coach, Eat Lift Love Training (FitBudd, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** FitBudd fits independent trainers and studios that want their own branded client app without building one from scratch. At 4.64, it clears the 4.31 category average, and its low entry price makes it accessible for solo coaches.

## 6\. OfferingTree: best for solo yoga and wellness pros who need a website and booking in one

_Mobile responsive booking sites_

[OfferingTree](https://www.capterra.com/p/179634/OfferingTree/) posts one of the highest reviewer scores in this article, a 4.91 overall rating from 34 verified reviews over the past two years. It leads on customer support (4.88) and value for money (4.76). With a smaller sample, treat its scores as directional.

It is built specifically for solo wellness professionals, such as yoga teachers, therapists, and small studios, who want a website, class scheduling, memberships, digital courses, and an email list in one place. Reviewers repeatedly describe it as approachable for non-technical owners.

**Key features**

- All-in-one website, booking, and membership tools for wellness pros

- Digital course and content hosting

- Built-in email marketing and client management

- Live support office hours

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about OfferingTree: ease of use and all-in-one functionality lead, with fast, friendly support close behind.**

- Non-technical owners report building a website and booking flow without help

- The single-dashboard setup replaces multiple subscriptions, per several reviewers

- Reviewers highlight strong value for money and live office hours support

**What users dislike about OfferingTree: the main gripe is plan limits as offerings grow, a sign of scaling rather than a flaw.**

- A few reviewers hit plan limits and want deeper customization as their catalog expands, though the entry tiers cover solo pros well

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“As a yoga therapist, OfferingTree offers the best bundle of online products for the price, and it’s easy to use. I love being able to manage my client and class schedule, digital courses, and email list all on one dashboard. The customer service is fast and friendly. Overall, it’s the best platform for a wellness website out there.”

Viviane W., Owner & Yoga Therapist, Viviane Wolfe Yoga Therapy (OfferingTree, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** OfferingTree fits solo yoga and wellness professionals who want a website and booking without technical overhead. At 4.91, it is among the highest-rated here, though its smaller review base means scores are best read directionally.

## 7\. TeamUp: best for boutique and class-based studios that prize reliability and support

_TeamUp bookings for members_

[TeamUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/150357/Teamup/) closes the list with the highest reviewer score here, a 4.96 overall rating from 27 verified reviews over the last two years. It posts 4.96 on customer support and 4.89 on both ease of use and functionality. With the smallest sample on this list, treat its scores as directional.

Its reputation among reviewers is built on reliability. It handles class scheduling, memberships, courses, and payments for boutique and class-based studios, but what comes up most is that it simply works, with clear, stable pricing and technophobe-friendly booking for clients.

**Key features**

- Class, course, and membership scheduling

- Multiple membership tiers with self-serve upgrades

- Integrated payments and automated messaging

- Client-friendly booking app

#### Trial/Free Version

- Free Trial
- Free Version

#### Device Compatibilty

**What users like about TeamUp: ease of use and client management lead, with reliability and support repeatedly praised.**

- Clients described as non-technical still find the booking app easy, per several reviewers

- Long-term users highlight stability and clear, consistent pricing

- Reviewers report rarely needing to contact support at all

**What users dislike about TeamUp: the main gripe is occasional missing features, from a small review base.**

- A few reviewers want specific additional features built out, though most say the core scheduling and payments simply work

**What a verified Capterra reviewer says**

“Brilliant easy to navigate even for not tech savvy clients. Intuitive layout. Incredible functionality. The thing everyone takes for granted is NO GLITCHES. With 2 other softwares we used customer support on weekly basis. We have NEVER used TeamUp support as we simply never needed it in the whole 5 years. Constant updates to functionality with the same clear pricing structure.”

Anna M., Director, Active Krav Maga (TeamUp, 5/5)

**Bottom line:** TeamUp fits boutique and class-based studios that want a dependable, easy-to-run platform with clients who just need booking to work. At 4.96, it is the highest-rated product in this article, with the caveat that its review base is the smallest here.

## **Finding the fitness software that fits your business**

Between these seven tools, you have evidence-backed options across the priorities that matter most in a fitness software purchase. To match your situation to the most likely fit, here is how I’d read the list:

<table class="my-md shadow-static border-1 table w-full rounded-md border-neutral-50 lg:table-auto"><tbody class="border-neutral-50"><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50"><b>Your situation</b></p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50"><b>Best pick</b></p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50"><b>Why</b></p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Online or hybrid coach scaling 1:1 programming</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Everfit</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Highest ease-of-use score (4.84) and a full programming-plus-messaging workflow in one place.</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Personal trainer wanting a proven all-in-one app</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">My PT Hub</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Largest, most actively reviewed base here, with deep nutrition and payments built in.</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Studio, salon, or spa needing booking + POS + payments</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Vagaro</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">True all-in-one for appointment- and class-based businesses, plus marketplace exposure.</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Multi-location operator needing enterprise depth</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">ZENOTI</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Enterprise-grade membership and staff management with hands-on implementation support.</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Trainer who wants their own branded client app</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">FitBudd</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Fully custom-branded app and website at the lowest entry price on this list ($15/mo).</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Solo yoga or wellness pro needing a website + booking</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">OfferingTree</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Website, scheduling, courses, and email in one dashboard, built for non-technical owners.</p></td></tr><tr class="border-1 table-row border-neutral-50"><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Boutique or class-based studio that prizes reliability</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">TeamUp</p></td><td class="p-md table-cell border-neutral-50 align-top"><p class="mb-xl sb type-50">Highest-rated here on stability and support, with clear, consistent pricing.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

Each comes with a trade-off, whether that’s a smaller review base, a learning curve, or paid add-ons worth pricing out before you commit. If you’re shopping specifically for fitness studio software, Vagaro and TeamUp are the class- and studio-first picks here; if you’re trainer-first, Everfit and My PT Hub are the closest head-to-head.

In my view, the best fitness software isn’t the one with the most features. It’s the one whose strengths match how you actually run your business and how your clients actually book. If you want to keep weighing the two trainer-first options, you can [see Everfit and My PT Hub compared side by side](https://www.capterra.com/compare/146651-202837/My-PT-Hub-vs-Everfit) on Capterra.

TIP

Before you buy, price the plan at your real client or location count, not the headline rate. Add-ons for marketing, custom forms, or extra locations are the most common source of surprise cost, per reviewers.

## Frequently asked questions

What is fitness software?

[Fitness software](https://www.capterra.com/fitness-software/) helps gyms, studios, and trainers run their business in one place: class and appointment scheduling, memberships, payments, client or member management, and marketing. Some platforms also add a branded client app, workout programming, or a website builder.

What’s the difference between gym management software and personal trainer software?

Software [built for gyms and studios](https://www.capterra.com/gym-management-software/) is organized around locations, classes, memberships, and front-desk operations. Tools [made for individual client programming](https://www.capterra.com/personal-trainer-software/) handle workouts, nutrition, progress tracking, and messaging, often through a branded app. Several products on this list, such as Everfit and My PT Hub, lean trainer-first, while Vagaro and ZENOTI lean studio- and multi-location-first.

How much does fitness software cost?

Entry pricing among the tools here ranges from about $15/month (FitBudd) to $300/month (ZENOTI), with most all-in-one studio platforms starting in the $20–$120/month range. Costs typically scale with active clients, locations, or add-on features, so price out the plan that matches your size rather than the headline starting price.

Which fitness software is easiest to use?

In this dataset, TeamUp (4.89), Everfit (4.84), and My PT Hub (4.67) score highest on ease of use among well-reviewed products. Ease-of-use scores reflect verified Capterra reviews over the trailing 24 months.

How do I choose the best fitness software for my business?

Start with review count, overall rating, and whether the reviewer base matches your business type: solo trainer, single studio, or multi-location. Then weigh any must-have, such as a branded app, integrated payments, a website, or multi-location support, against each platform’s trade-offs. Finally, price out the plan for your actual size, including add-ons.

Ratings are based on verified Capterra reviews in the fitness category, August 2024 through August 2026. Products from the Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026) qualified if they met both of the following in that window:

- At least 20 verified Capterra reviews in the last 24 months

- An overall rating of 4.0 or higher

Of the 25 shortlisted products, I removed two for falling below the 4.0 rating floor (Zen Planner, 3.83; Arketa, 3.68), leaving 23 qualifiers. Rather than ranking on lifetime scores, I re-scored each qualifier on a blend of recent review volume and overall reviewer rating, mirroring how Capterra Shortlist combines popularity and ratings, so the list reflects current momentum. The seven products above are the highest-scoring on that combined basis, listed in descending order.

Category-average comparisons in this article use the simple average of every product’s own mean overall rating across the fitness products in this dataset (4.31 across 130 products and 5,504 reviews in the same window), not an average of just these seven products.

Starting prices are as listed on each product’s Capterra page within Capterra Shortlist for Fitness (2026), in USD. Verify current pricing on each vendor’s website before purchasing.

Editorial independence: Products are selected and ranked based on an objective methodology. While some vendors may pay Capterra when they receive web traffic or leads, this does not influence selection or analysis.
