Auctria is a terrific product, and I recommend it to all of my clients and colleagues. It is a great value for the money, easy to use, and has incredible functionality.

Pros

Auctria is very intuitive, and so much easier to use than other nonprofit event softwares on the market. The database function is straight-forward and doesn't have too many layers to it, so data entry is really fast. The website, ticket sales component, donor/guest information, and night of event entry all sync together really well. It takes less than 5 minutes to train volunteers on guest registration, and the materials are quality. Any time that I have had an issue, which hasn't been often, Auctria will get back to me quickly with a solution.

Cons

The only thing I would change would be to make the display sheets a little more dynamic, so they could be individually altered. Perhaps if there were an option to download them as a Word file, it would make it easier to adjust text sizing, photo sizing, etc. Also, it would be great if Auctria had a mobile bidding component.

Not too intuitive for accessing data. Trying to find meal options took awhile. It took too long to add all the auction items due to all the clicks to create a new item entry

Pros

Liked the event website, pretty easy to add everything you need. There is a lot of functionality available for data, wish it was easy to find

Cons

It would have been helpful to have the items on a spreadsheet format that you could edit easily. It was difficult to always have to click on the edit item then have another page open to edit. I had so many pages open, it got confusing.

Based on our latest experience, we are going to try to use Auctria for more events! It seems like we can easily integrate into in person events as we have only used Auctria for online only auctions.

Pros

The user experience is excellent and the software does a great job. I like how payments are processed automatically and you give the user the choice to cover the cost of the credit card fee.

Cons

The software defaults to grid view. I had a hard time getting the page to open so that users could view all items. I was able to work around this and three users brought this up as part of their experience. There should be tabs where you copy a previous event and then easily copy items without having to open each item individually.

### "Couldn't live without"

Overall I really like Auctria and will use it in the future. I would also recommend it to anyone who is needing a program to help with their auction needs.

Pros

I like the item add page. It is simple but allows for a lot of information to be shared. The website is also very professional-looking but easy to make and maintain.

Cons

We ran into problems with reporting our live auction. I wish I could have just clicked a "next" button to go to the next item instead of having to go back through the entry process each time. Also, we put live winning bids in after the auction, and for some reason, Auctria didn't record them and people were waiting to check out and couldn't.

Working with the team at Auctria was fantastic! I definitely recommend getting the Launch Plus package. Our assigned Auctria team member, \[sensitive content hidden\], took care of everything from undoing mistakes to building our website. He responded quickly to emails and communicated well. We only used Auctria for the silent auction platform. It was well worth our time and money! During the silent auction, the platform worked flawlessly. Check out was a breeze! More people paid with a credit card than had ever done before! At what would be a normally crazy time, my staff and I were bored, which we loved! We will be using the Auctria platform from here on out!

Pros

The things we liked most about Auctria were Launch Plus, the response of our Aucria team member, the ease of the program. The best thing about using the Auctria program was how smoothly checkout went.

Cons

We would like to use Auctria for ticketing. We were disappointed that there was not a way to build tables and allow individuals to pick seats and purchase those specific seats. Due to the limitations of our facility, being able to pick seats is important to our attendees.

Pros

We were in a pinch to set up a silent auction platform less than two weeks away from our event, and Auctria ended up being perfect. For $378, we got every feature we could possibly think of. After looking at a lot of auction/fundraising platforms, I loved that Auctria was focused on auctions, because a lot of other sites have such large offerings that auctions are kind of an afterthought, but Auctria has such a well-developed platform that there wasn't a single thing I thought of that they didn't provide. Also, kudos to the customer support team. Their webinar was super helpful, and team members responded to emails within minutes (!). On the day of the event, I had a freak-out because a function wasn't working, and a team member responded to me immediately and solved the issue within five minutes. The website worked well and our participants (despite being on the older side), were able to easily register and bid. I also liked that I could register participants myself and record bids on the back-end so I was able to register and bid on behalf of participants who particularly struggled with tech.

Cons

The one thing that wasn't 10/10 was designing the website itself. The UI isn't quite as sleek as other parts of the platform, and having to change every individual text box and use the "Advance Styling" for things like font size and italics was time intensive. Our website ended up looking great, but I did have to spend time watching tutorials and I wish it was a bit more intuitive.

EXCELLENT! We've used other auction software and this is far and away the best. And support is phenomenal; there is a dedicated icon for on-line questions, and they get back to you within minutes if not faster.

Pros

Its a complete package which lets us run our auctions both in-person and on-line, it has options to use a smartphone to simplify interaction with participants, it sends automatic reminders and receipts, too much else to mention. And its reasonably priced. there is also a free option, which contains most features, so you can get a feel for it. Its also very flexible; we're using it in another organization I'm involved with for registering lifelong learning classes.

Cons

That we only have one auction a year and don't get to use it more often. The only little thing is that using the web design tools is a little confusing (at least for me)

Overall, we like the system and will probably continue to use it. We learn more every year!

Pros

We love being able to sell tickets and have those immediately linked to people's bidding paddles for the auction. Also being able to set up a customized site and online auction functionality has been so helpful. Even when there are things we can't figure out, support has usually been prompt and helpful.

Cons

Auctria has such broad functionality, but it's not always the most user-friendly. A lot of things are not intuitive. A couple things we've struggled with: how to require credit cards for each guest; tickets getting set up as "for sale" instead of the "ticket" type; creating the auction catalog webpage; changing the order in which tickets on sale are displayed; sending donation receipts for winning bidders; getting locked out of editing the site even when no one else is logged in.

We were able to put our whole event website and catalog together in less than a week, and when we ran into any issues, the incredible help team went above and beyond, at one point working late into the night with us to get everything ready in time. Once we saw how good our auction looked, we upped our goal by $5K, and then went live. Auctria is more than a great value, it's a fantastic tool for any virtual fundraiser!!

Pros

The most fun feature was that everyone could see bids happen in real time! We hit our goal, and many of our supporters let us know that they had tons of fun seeing bids roll in, so I consider seeing the bids in real time to be an important motivator for hitting our goal. The most useful feature was the mass upload function for photos and descriptions. We had 500 items, and could never have launched on time without this feature!

Cons

The backend portal to build the website was a bit limited — for example, I would have liked to be able to change the colors on the Donate buttons to match the rest of our custom colors. However, it was still better than what I saw with other products, and once we got the hang of it, it was easy to use.

The batch upload function was our primary reason for choosing Auctria, but in addition to that, the user experience was so much more refined, streamlined, and customizable, and the pricing was much more affordable, so more of our funds went toward our mission.

We're a smal organization, so the pricetag was too much for us, but at the time we thought it might increase our revenue from paper bid sheets and wanted to give it a try. Using Auctria was an easy switch because we didn't need the live auction functionality, and now that I've used it, I think we'll continue with Auctria for all events in the future.

For the New Hampshire Orchid society it covers all the bases. It is a comprehensive software product with limitless possibilities. This product works for small and large auctions alike with the same attention to detail.

Hosting an auction fro a nonprofit alone isn't easy, but Auctria made the digital portion super simple. Items were able to be listed easily and the auction website made it easy for my audience to view, bid, and pay for all of the items!

Pros

I loved that Auctria has a free and paid version and that you can choose what works best for your auction. It was so nice to have email support, when needed, even with the free version.

Cons

The platform is a bit confusing because is can do so many things! It took a bit to understand how things worked, but after that it was so easy to run my auction.

We were very happy with our experience and will continue to use it for our next gala in April.

Pros

Ability to text participants through out the event with important details, email bid winners with their statements, and accept payment before the event even ended. At a simple glance, we could view the dashboard and know how our tickets sales and sponsorships were going. Excellent customer support and I willingness to help us customize to make it work better for our event.

Cons

When someone was refunded for their ticket, the tickets sold still showed up in the system which made keeping track of total tickets sold confusing at times.

### "Auctria Saved Our Auction"

Our annual auction has always involved 100s upon 100s of volunteer hours. It was becoming increasingly difficult to get volunteers to put in the time. Auctria solved that problem for us, reducing our volunteer time by at least 85%. We were also affected by people's hesitancy to do anything "in person" following the pandemic. Being able to have the auction totally online with a wonderful website solved that problem. We sold out almost every event we offered. That has never happened before. My overall experience with Auctria was fantastic. The staff are very personable and know their product. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedules for meetings and we always received prompt answers to our questions. They were available to help with setting everything up and had great suggestions for marketing our auction items. At the beginning, we watched a lot of the online videos about how to set up an auction and how to use Auctria. That content was very helpful.To any person or organization looking for software to run an auction or fundraiser, I say, "Look no further. Auctria is the BEST."

Pros

We used Auctria to conduct our auction completely on line. In a few short weeks, we progressed from creating a paper and pdf catalog, setting up tables with silent auction sheets, and calculating everything by hand (winners, invoices, etc.) to doing everything on line. Our annual auction is a 40 year tradition that was put on hold during the pandemic. We were all worried about how to bring it back, and whether or not moving to an online platform would negatively impact participation and profits. It did not. Our experience was wonderful.We purchased the Emerald Plan and it was worth every penny. The staff support was fantastic and they have continued to be available to us since the auction closed. With their guidance, we have been able to offer all unsold items via the website in an "After Event Sale."To my knowledge, Auctria has been 100% accurate in billing, processing payments, tracking bids, and in absolutely every other facet of our auction.Also, the website created for our event was beautiful and I'm sure it contributed greatly to our success.

Cons

I think Auctria could improve the ease at which one can find topics in their Help menu. Finding the answers to specific questions wasn't always easy, and the search tool was not specific enough. That said, I found that using CHAT feature or emailing the concierge typically got a same day and often immediate answer to my questions.Our bidders were confused by the notifications when they were outbid. It was challenging to understand how to get back in the running if you were trying to buy two separate seats at a dinner and you were outbid for one of them. (You had to outbid yourself, and then bid again for the second seat.) There isn't a tab in the menu for "show me items that have sold." This would be helpful.

We chose Auctria at the recommendation of another congregation. They were spot on!!!

### "First Time Online Auction - Went So SMOOTH!"

This was our first year with an online auction. Typically we have a live auction 2 a year for our church. At first we were using paper tickets only and at the end it was a nightmare trying to calculate everyone's totals as they were waiting in line to pay. Over the years I have used Excel, MS Access and even Google Forms and Sheets. After last year's auction I decided I wanted an easier program and started looking. I had come up with another option but then COVID hit and another church used Auctria. They raved about it - so I looked into it. It really is easy to use. We did have a few people call the church office to ask some questions about registering and I received some emails for password resets (I just clicked the "send access token" button on their bidder page) and that was it! We are definitely going to use this even when we go back to the Live Auction. We had several parishioners that really enjoyed bidding online (and believe me - not many were happy about it at first - people don't like change!) Several parishioners have asked if we will have a hybrid auction next year - part done online and go to Live. We are working out how we want to handle it, but know we will do some sort of combination next year. We had several buyers that would not normally have been at our picnic and bid this year. We had bidders that didn't win anything make a donation anyway. All in all it was a successful first foray!

Pros

This is a very robust system - has a ton of capabilities - but it is VERY EASY to use! I took time to set up the auction at the beginning. I went through EVERY TAB to make sure that I had all of the setting the way we wanted them. I was able to chat with customer service and they were EXTREMELY helpful! Even on the weekends - when they should have been off - they still answered very quickly. They were able to code in some special requests for reports for me. They listened to product enhancement suggestions. I liked the ability to paste a photo link for the items. I used a lightbox to photograph most items and I uploaded to my Google Account. I was easily able to get the photo address and paste it in item. Worked great! I also used the photo editing when I needed to add "Picture is a Representation". Very easy to use!

Cons

I wish that when bidders registered they could put in their company name as well. For us it is super important to recognize the company name as well as the person from the company. Both need the recognition. I ended up adding the company name (when I knew it) to the First and Last Name fields. Sometimes I found the reporting cumbersome. I wanted to be able to see all of the items that were being bid on and see the bidder, with the price as well as the donor. A good snapshot report of everything. I was finally able to create something but I didn't see an easy way to add that to a "Favorites" Section. I kept forgetting where I finally found the report. Would be a nice add. I did use the save the view function. But I just could never remember which report to pull. :)

RE; company name, good news- you can add that as a required field for registration, this can be found under Registration Options--> Ask for bidder's company-->yes/no. ### "Perfect for any size Auction"

Pros

Auctria is very easy to use and even has great videos and help center articles on the features we need help with. The best part of Auctria is that it simplifies our check-in and check-out process on the night of our event. This used to be our biggest pain point every year and now I get to enjoy the event more because the software does all the hard work.

Cons

We would love a voting feature to be added as this is another component we would like to remove the manual work from.

### ""Take a Taste Out of Crime Online" First Time"

While using an online auction website for the first time did involve much work and a lot of learning, in hindsight, it was much easier and less complicated than I thought it would be. Kudos to a top-notch support team; each representative was spot-on with prompt responses and (very patient) assistance. If found the Facebook page extremely helpful; I appreciated the Facebook group where I could pose questions to "experienced" event planners in search of best practices used by others. We have been toying with adding online bidding options to our in-person event for several years. We have received such overwhelming and positive response to the auction (professional appearance, ease of use), we have begun talking about how to perhaps incorporate technology (Auctria's platform!) in our 2021 event.

Pros

Since 2015 and prior to this year, we had been using the Auctria platform for our in-person event which included upwards of 160 silent auction items, 18 bucket raffles items, and "big item" raffles. It worked well to house sponsor and donor data as well as auction item information and details. Printing up pen-to-paper bid sheets was easy and simple. With COVID19 restrictions, we had to move our fundraiser to an virtual event. Since much of our data was already entered into Auctria, it was easy to re-categorizing pieces from "silent" to "online." It was turn-key! Everything was linked and automatically connected to the auction website catalog pages. Our task then became taking and uploading pictures (using a phone camera!), and creating a website.

Cons

I found that some of the website templates for the auction website were cumbersome and limiting. In adding verbiage to the website homepage, I would have liked to have had more flexibility in font size choices and clearer information about padding and margins in text row blocks (this was the first time I have ever used a negative margin setting!!). My work around was to create a JPG text block and upload it as a picture. While not a software issue, I found the User Guide drill-down method for linking additional information difficult to follow. Often times, I would click on links which suggested other links, which suggested even more links, and I would fink myself lost looking for the solution or answer to a question. On the other hand, tech support is amazing!

I am a trustee at Tin Mountain who will be terming out next month. As described in other comments, i was on the early committees to get Auctria rolling some years back, and then moved on to other committee work. My recent experience is as a bidder/ end user. I am in the IT world so I didn't have any specific issues. My overall experience is it is all a bit clunky, and I helped several older folks navigate through it. This could all be how we at TM have it set up - maybe we could do better.

Pros

Ultimately it is effective and gets the job done.

Cons

While the system is effective, the interface feels dated and could modernizing. Part of that may be how our folks have it set up.

We used the website, silent auction, and ticket raffle features. They were easy to set up, what questions I did have were quickly and accurately answered.

Cons

The reporting of the raffle ticket sales and activity is a bit cumbersome, it would be nice to have a single report that collated all ticket sales.

We used Auctria for a school silent auction of 160 items with approximately 60 bidders netting over $20k profits.

Pros

Platform is intuitive, easy to use for listing auction items with photos / videos, creating displays, ticketing event / managing attendees, real-time app bidding, text messaging and emails to bidders, invoicing and payment processing. Auctria reference and help desk very responsive within one hour typically. Bidder participants were able to easily understand and feel comfortable entering bids into the app the same night of the auction.

Cons

Opt-out options for credit card storage.

Reason for choosing Auctria

We evaluated several other platforms that cost twice or four times more than Auctria without all these features and support - very happy with Auctria selection.

### "Auctria is Outstanding"

Auctria is very open to suggestions for improvement. Most importantly they ALWAYS answer questions about issues or problems in a VERY prompt manner using their online chat tool.

Pros

This is a great package for running silent, online auctions as well as managing event registration and ticket sales. We were looking for a reasonably priced solution to run our annual UN-Gala fundraising event. We looked at a lot of different packages. Auctria was clearly the best for the money. We use it to sell tickets and register guests/bidders. To run the online/silent auction, the live auction and the fund-a-need auction at the event. And to checkout winning bidders at the end of the night.

Cons

Actually, I don't dislike anything about the software. I wish someone / somewhere would come up with a good way of entering fund-a-need auction bids in real time so that the bids don't get lost in the transcription.

Reason for choosing Auctria

Functionality for the price. And if I had known how great their support was going to be in advance, I would have added that to the selection reason.

Pros

As a nonprofit, it's difficult to find software that fits our needs. Auctria delivers. I have used others in the past that were cumbersome, not user friendly, and limited. Auctria handles every aspect of our events in an easy, straightforward way.
