Cons What I liked least about Eventbrite is that some Concordia events filled up very quickly, and the platform didn’t always show clear availability until I tried to register. Customers can also easily and quickly purchase tickets to events by just clicking a link. I also love that events can be discovered by potential customers just browsing the site. It's easy to collect customer info and communicate with everyone by email if any changes are made. The ability to charge customers the Eventbrite fee is a great optional feature, fees are extremely fair if you decide to not charge them outward. The payment process is fairly quick as well and every report is easy to find. I have not experienced bugs, other issues, or needed to reach out to customer support, which is are great signs of an easy platform! You can customize tickets, integrate it within TikTok (very useful for targeting GenZs and Millennials) and define differente prices and descriptions. You don't have to pay a service, since they only took a percentage from the tickets that you sell. Pros EventBrite is a good solution if you are going to organize events. It has no cost upfront and a lot of feature to customize you events. It is quite easy to use(although some options may change position over time) and has some strong integrations with socials Cons It has not a good indexing of the events. It has been amazing to see all the classes in the arts, mental health, and addiction. I also feel as it is so easy to navigate. Pros I love the ease of the website and app as well as the abundance of activities and events. Whether you want to do something social locally or you want to listen to a webinar and learn about something in your career field, personal growth, or mental health. They even have a ton stuff you can do for free so it you can still connect with others while remaining on a budget. Their customer support is extremely helpful and quick to respond. I haven't come across any bug or issues while using it other than finding too many things that interest me and not being able to make up my mind on how much I can realistically participate in. I love getting email notifications of new topics and events related to my areas of interest. I recommend Eventbrite to all my clients, family, friends, and use it often myself. If you are thinking about using Eventbrite for your event, I strongly recommend you read this first and avoid making the same mistake we did. We used Eventbrite to sell tickets for our national tour — and ended up losing over $3000 through a "Boost ads" system we never turned on or approved. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY! Eventbrite auto-opted us into paid advertising without consent, started spending our money on who-knows-what "ads," and provided no evidence that these ads even existed (even eventbrite support could not tell me where the ads were run or even how to manage them!) No reports, no audience breakdowns, no proof. When questioned, support gave us vague, dismissive answers. They would not refund anything despite the charges being unauthorized. Getting our attendee data was another nightmare. We had to manually export multiple different reports just to get a list of buyers vs attendees — no simple way to see who bought and who checked in. Even the basic act of "exporting your customers" is buried under poor UI design. In short: Steal money from your credit card! Hidden fees No transparency No proof of advertising services No ownership of your customers Broken exports and outdated systems If you value your business, want to protect your brand, and respect your customers — avoid Eventbrite at all costs. Pros Nothing - They stole money from our account, and their poor customer service have been dragging it out for 4 weeks with no refund as yet! Cons THEY ACTUALLY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR CREDIT CARD... and they refuse to refund it?! They need to be shut down! This is actually a scam! I have reported this fraud to my credit card company. It's slick and I've never experienced any issues with the platform - maybe the occasional slow-page load but nothing detrimental.
