Being able to have different tiers of ticketing and pages describing each while also accepting payments for those tickets. Cons Setup was a bit bulky for us and the mobile app was pretty buggy with intermittent issues here and there with loading things we needed. It also makes processing payments very straightforward if you don’t have separate payment systems set up as Eventbrite handles it all. Pros Eventbrite is very quick and simple to get set up and selling tickets straight away. I like that it’s a well known and trusted platform which is great for new events. Cons The fees are high in comparison to other ticket selling platforms. Also the marketing features aren’t great in comparison to other options. However, at first Eventbrite was more suitable because it was simpler to use, had all the payment systems built-in and had some built-in marketing. It has been amazing to see all the classes in the arts, mental health, and addiction. I also feel as it is so easy to navigate. Pros I love the ease of the website and app as well as the abundance of activities and events. Whether you want to do something social locally or you want to listen to a webinar and learn about something in your career field, personal growth, or mental health. They even have a ton stuff you can do for free so it you can still connect with others while remaining on a budget. Their customer support is extremely helpful and quick to respond. I haven't come across any bug or issues while using it other than finding too many things that interest me and not being able to make up my mind on how much I can realistically participate in. I love getting email notifications of new topics and events related to my areas of interest. I recommend Eventbrite to all my clients, family, friends, and use it often myself. It is a good way to build social supports and interact with others in the community. It's also great for networking! Cons I didn't find much of anything I didn't like other than I find too many options of events in my interest and don't have the time to do everything that I want. If you are thinking about using Eventbrite for your event, I strongly recommend you read this first and avoid making the same mistake we did. We used Eventbrite to sell tickets for our national tour — and ended up losing over $3000 through a "Boost ads" system we never turned on or approved. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY! Eventbrite auto-opted us into paid advertising without consent, started spending our money on who-knows-what "ads," and provided no evidence that these ads even existed (even eventbrite support could not tell me where the ads were run or even how to manage them!) No reports, no audience breakdowns, no proof. When questioned, support gave us vague, dismissive answers. They would not refund anything despite the charges being unauthorized. Getting our attendee data was another nightmare. We had to manually export multiple different reports just to get a list of buyers vs attendees — no simple way to see who bought and who checked in. Even the basic act of "exporting your customers" is buried under poor UI design. In short: Steal money from your credit card! Hidden fees No transparency No proof of advertising services No ownership of your customers Broken exports and outdated systems If you value your business, want to protect your brand, and respect your customers — avoid Eventbrite at all costs. Pros Nothing - They stole money from our account, and their poor customer service have been dragging it out for 4 weeks with no refund as yet! Cons THEY ACTUALLY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR CREDIT CARD... and they refuse to refund it?! They need to be shut down! This is actually a scam! I have reported this fraud to my credit card company.
