May 23, 2018 5.0 Access to real-time data and tracking and the ability for users to provide additional information by using descriptive fields. Pros It can be used anywhere. We have construction crews in the field and it's great that they can use it wherever they are and we can have real-time data without having to wait for the end of the week for paper timecards. It takes a lot of the burden off of our foremen and frees them up for more important work. Plus, their customer service is outstanding! Cons Limited reporting features. Pros It wasn't until we tried to switch away from busybusy when we implemented a new job costing software, that I realized how streamlined and efficient Busybusy is. We switched back immediately! The sync to quickbooks, ease of use, and flexibility to changes are what I like most. Cons The only con I see is not being able to assign different pay rates per project (like prevailing wage projects). Accessibility through phone and computer. Being able to view time cards and current hours in pay period. Checking and signing time cards makes it easier to be paid on time. Pros busybusy offers an app that has a simple design and easy to use interface. It also offers a website that has a simple but more in depth view if needed. The layout for the clocking system is cool and I like how it tracks your time. Viewing old time cards is a positive thing for me also. Cons The app and website have been unreliable at times to save punches, which makes it where employees have to remembers their times instead of what the app is suppose to be doing, which is tracking those punches. It wastes time for the administration staff to have to go back into time cards and fix multiple punches between multiple employees. Easy to find, easy to read!! Also the break tracking feature. I'm not hunting down technicians anymore to ask them if they took a break, it's right there at my fingertips when I'm ready to process payroll :) Cons Very rarely, but its happened a couple of times, I've been logged out of my app on my phone. It helps us see real cost on jobs" May 22, 2018 5.0 We don't have paper time cards and don't have to verify every person's time. Pros It's easy to use for our guys and that's the most important thing for being in the field. It's fast and reliable. Cons The app doesn't allow our office personnel to see the amounts to be paid in the time cards. We need the ability to see our cost per job and per employee in the field. The reports that are used weekly are easy to generate and clear and simple to read. The busybusy program has cut down on the amount of time that management uses to verify hours, especially compared to a manual punch timeclock Pros BusyBusy has been an instrumental way that we track the time students spend with their projects. BusyBusy has detailed reports that allow us to see quickly and easily the amount of time spent on a project and that they were at the correct location. Allowing us to set up a geolocation circle has helped us ensure that the time spent was spent where it was supposed to be. Cons I'd love it if there were a way for the version we use to send push notifications to users to remind them to clock in when they arrive at the geolocation we've set up and to clock out when they leave it. Other than that, we have had no issues with busybusy. If they forget it is easy to fix. I get follow up calls now and then from busybusy to see if I am using what I need or if I need more access. Being able to choose which job they are at helps us code our workers comp class codes. Pros The ease of employees not needing training much for this app. It does so many things we don't use but would find valuable such as the gps and equipment used. Cons I do not have a complaint about busybusy. Reason for choosing BusyBusy We only have 3 employees and with no need for the full usage it is nice to have a free version. I have also worked for a company with 15 employees that did use the features so I am familiar with other aspects such as gps and reporting. Having these numbers lets me know if there is a problem I need to search for and find. I can also do my yearly budget for the business better, as I'm able to track hours that need to be applied to overhead from year to year. Pros I love the report dashboard, which allows me to see everything about the labor in my company in one glance. If I need to drill down into any issues, the reports tab makes it easy. Cons I have turned on geo reporting and required my guys to send a report of their location when they clock in. I turned it off due to privacy concerns. BusyBusy was tracking them 24/7. Their location was recorded on the weekends, at night, etc., and it was invasive. The racking was a couple of years ago, so I don't know if it is still a problem. In the last update there was a feature or two that I felt was lost when most reports were encapsulated in the "legacy reports" specific job perchance and job costing reports by specific project that I can no longer access. They have a very helpful staff that has worked through all our needs. Our employees love when they clock out they can report any discrepancies in time which cuts down the standing around in the office. The check in process is convenient and employees love they can just do it through their phone. When it comes to payroll, it makes it really easy and can even calculate all time off. That involves a call to customer service (which is fabulous), but it is time consuming and if I forget it work sync with QuickBooks. Also, if I don't sync busybusy with QuickBooks at least every 2 weeks I will loose information.
