It gives us a clear overview of all assets, makes it easy to find what we need, and simplifies sharing both internally and with freelancers. Smart folders are especially useful for creating different views for different stakeholders. Pros I really like the clean, intuitive UI and how easy it is to customize everything to fit our brand. It’s fast even with large files, and features like smart albums, tags, and flexible metadata make it easy to structure things exactly how our team needs. Overall great value for money. Cons Nothing major so far, but we work a lot with RAW files and previews can sometimes fail or not load correctly. It would be great if preview support was more reliable and worked across more file formats. Cons Kontainer fits all my needs. At first there can take some time to learn how to navigate it, however, I'd say it is quite intuitive. I'm not the one who set up our company's Kontainer though, so I cannot comment on how easy or difficult the actual setup is. I use it daily, so you gradually learn how to search for things efficiently—for example, always using the style number instead of the style name. Pros It’s great that you can group things and create internal systems depending on what the folders are meant to contain. Cons It can be a challenge when uploading a large batch of files. The system doesn’t notify you when 100% of the files have been uploaded, which means some files may fail to upload without you realizing it. Review Source GM Gabija M. It turned out to be much better - easier to use, faster, and feels fresh and on-brand. Also, their support team is great - friendly & fast. Pros Simple to use, very customizable (you can upload your logo, font, so UI looks on brand). Their support team is friendly and always eager to help. Cons Some features, like marking expired images, which we used to have on the previous platform and were very useful, are not currently available in Kontainer. However, there are workarounds for that. They have been very supportive in helping us create what we wanted – and at our own pace. Now that we are really starting to integrate it into the organization, I’m sure we will be very happy with it. I’m also confident that there are some great development opportunities ahead that we will make use of. Pros I think our contact with Kontainer has been one of the things I have appreciated the most. If we are even slightly in doubt about anything, they are always ready to help. Besides that, it is of course also a system that we are very happy with. It doesn’t feel overly complex, yet it provides all the professional asset management capabilities a growing organization needs. Cons The main downside isn’t about functionality — it’s more about the effort required to implement it properly and ensure adoption across teams. When structured well, it performs very effectively. Without clear governance, however, any DAM (including Kontainer) can become underutilized. It is very intuitive and so even though I'm new at my company and was thrown straight into my work- I had no problem understanding how it worked. Pros I most like how simple it is to use, how easy and visually pleasing it is to organize files within it. Also, I much appreciate how I can create folders and share them with others. Cons I have had a small problem with being "locked" into certain folders without being able to get back to the rest of our content. Kontainer just delivers on all parameters Pros I love so many features of the system. A full-blown consent system, allowing us to keep track of which images we are allowed to use, e very granular user/group system that we can adapt to our organisations needs. Smart folders have been a true blessing. But actually what I like the absolute most is their customer service, and the way that Kontainer actually listen to customer requests and implement A LOT of these within a very short time frame. That is a major benefit from almost all other systems and applications we use. Cons Not much really. Of course we would always like even more features, but Kontainer have an unprecedented way of engaging with their customers request and wishes. As a result so many of the things we were missing og functionality we would like adapted to better fit our needs, have been fixed already. It helps us keeping things organized and easily accessible Pros I like the interface that is simple yet packed with functionality. And how you're able to customize the look of subpages within Kontainer to different contexts like a website. It's also very handy to be able to mark several images and crop them to specific dimensions in one simple flow. The customer support is very help as well and gets back to you quickly. Cons I miss more ways to search your images easily; for example filtering with/without people, landscape/portrait format etc. It could be an AI scanning the database to propose obvious ways to filter the images. Only things that could be improved are more features in my view. Pros Looks really nice from an end user point of view. Also somewhat flexible. Really good back office support as well. Cons The admin tool is nice, but it could be a lot more user friendly. Really missing a bulk import function ourselves. We use Lotte who is really quick, but for your own sake as well. Although we're not an e-commerce business, it's very useful in our daily work for all departments. And the most important is that it is easy to use and very intuitive.
