We have other systems that we work with that I am constantly submitted a case ticket for to correct an issue. But I haven't had to do so with Avid. Pros I like being able to communicate between teams in Avid to keep the process streamlined. I also liked the training process. We had a weekly meeting set so they could understand our business needs. All the way until a few weeks after we went live to assist us with questions or any changes that we needed. Cons I'm not able to organize invoices by date or name even though the option is there is does not work. Pros Nothing nothing nothing! Im appalled at the fees charged! Cons They charge the vendors a percentage of the funds they receive. These are funds do to us for work completed to the customer who chose to use avid. The customer who contracted with avid should absorb these fees not the vendor! Cons My primary area for improvement concerns the clarity of the check status reporting within the payment processing module. The system currently lacks a descriptive 'word bank' or clearly defined statuses for cut checks. For instance, the status "processing" is frequently misleading. In our experience, this generalized term often indicates that the physical check is lost in the mail or severely delayed rather than actively moving through the expected payment workflow. February 14, 2025 4.0 Overall, I have had a great experience using Avid. We were one of the first to use the API functionality with MIP Accounting, and I am glad we made the switch. We save at least 0.5 FTE's on AP. If not for the complaints about the calls to vendors, I would have given 5 stars. Pros I really like the ability to process AP while not physically on location. In a hybrid work environment, it is seamless and managers can sign off on invoices no matter where they are. I also like that there is a digital records trail of the invoices, approvals, and processing. This has been incredibly helpful during audit season. Cons There were some calls to our community partner vendors informing them of the ability to receive payment via ACH, where the person reaching out made it sound like ACH payments were the only option. I had to clarify with our partners that paper checks were an option, but they were under the assumption after the communication that their only option was to accept the ACH form of payment and pay a fee. I reached out to sales and they said this was unacceptable and they would rectify the situation. Since then, I have not received any more complaints. Review Source AI Ally I. May 6, 2024 5.0 Overall I've had a great experience with Avid, I just wish they would make small changes to Capture. Pros I love that Avid makes it easy to pay invoices but downloading them to a que and inserting all important information. All I have to do is review the invoice and click submit. This saves me a ton of time per invoice. Cons I dislike the capture system. If an invoice is listed as a duplicate and it is not, there is no easy way to get it processed anyways. It has cut hours of work in our company. Pros I love the capture feature the most and how it learns more as you use it. The ease of use of the entire program is also a plus. It doesn't take long to train employees to use. Workflows can be created easily and exactly as needed. Cons The biggest issue is when the system is down and we have to wait for it. Pros Makes Bill Pay easy with approval workflows. Easy to communicate to other team members in workflow. export/upload to Appfolio seamless. Reports make spreadsheets for owner bills. Also support is easy to connect with and very helpful Cons Would be helpful to be able to have separate export for owner bills with avid extracting the markup. We don't have to file and store thousands of invoices a month and cut and sign checks for all of these payments. Pros It has streamlined our payables process substantially. All invoices can be located in our Avid module, review and approval of the vendor invoices, and most important, it integrates with our property management software. Cons Everything is good, we really don't have any issues. Reason for choosing AvidXchange We chose Avid since it integrated with the property management software we use. It provides the options that we were looking for when considering purchase. We only utilize the purchasing, reports, and PO function. When choosing a product we were looking for something that could integrate with Microsoft GP. We did customize a number of things to fit our business and everyone at AvidXchange were great while working thru the process. Pros AvidXchange has helped streamline our invoice processing; to eliminate paper, and approval routing time. It provides the approving team access to see where it is in the approval/payment process and see payment information. By providing this information at their fingertips it saves us from receiving emails/phone calls looking for basic information. Overall the departments that use the system are very happy with having access to their invoices in one place. Cons The reporting system is cumbersome. Cons Technical errors - it has been down for all of my morning and can process invoice. Takes way more that 24 to 48 hours to reply to my requests. Invoices in processing get stuck in the queue till the next day. Called customer service and wasn't any help or were rude.
