Cons

I wish they had a built in duplicate checker for donors who register twice. You have to run a report that shows you duplicates but it would be nice to check for duplicates without running a report.

### "Best in the Business Event Fundraising Software"

I have been using the Fundraising platform for 3 years. I am so impressed how they have grown it and committed to continuous improvement. Every single event, something has been added, enhanced, and upgraded. I have increased my fundraising through events by 47% in 3 years since switching to .

Pros

works perfectly for my large scale nonprofit events. While some other softwares tout themselves as being "free", I find that OneCause is worth the investment as it provides a seamless experience for guests and comprehensive event management for me. We have been very happy with all elements of a live fundraising event - auction, paddle raise, check-in and check out, raffles, and more! Their customer support is outstanding and they are committed to continued growth as they are constantly evolving the product with updates.

Cons

Unfortunately it doesn't integrate into our CRM directly (Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge) but using Omatic is not a problem.

Good. We have used it for many years. We are still new to the new platform so I do not have enough experience with it yet to rate it fully.

Pros

everything seems very user friendly. Reports are great tools. Customer support is good. Good follow up time.

Cons

We were made to move to a new platform where our supporters did not move over nor can they be batch uploaded to the new platform. With 3000 supporters this will take time to enter.

WE are VERY disappointed. And after numerous problems right out of the gate, there is no partial or full refund. So our addictions and homeless shelter are just out $3000.

Pros

It seemed like it would make events - from internal staff events to big fundraising events- easier. It did not.

Cons

For small, free events like a Volunteer Luncheon, attendees who want to RSVP need to enter a credit card, which of course would never happen. Also it's not user friendly to set up events, and took WAY too much time and too many calls to customer service.

I have been impressed with OneCasue since our first interaction. The staff are friendly, the system operates easily, customer service has been efficient, helpful and kind when I have needed help, and University is fantastic.

Pros

The platform makes event management a breeze. The system is easy to navigate, the built in check lists to help your manage your event or fundraisers, and the reporting post event was fantastic. This system is a great value for money!

Cons

I have not had any negative to say. This software made event planning fun again! I was nervous about transitioning to a new software, but they delivered on everything from easy donor management all the way to easy guest experience at the event.

We've had great customer service - all of the interactions I've had with humans at have been positive and helpful

is user-friendly from a donor perspective. I receive many comments after our annual Gala about how the platform is superior to other bidding and auction programs.

Cons

There were a few features in the old platform that were a little antiquated - I anticipate these have been updated and improved in the new version.

### "OneCause WINS at Bid!"

I am a raving fan of and have been for years. I've used it for PTA fundraisers in both elementary & middle school; and convinced my employer to implement it for our annual fundraising gala at the non-profit I work for. I love the simplicity of the mobile bidding site, the ability to pull reports a variety of different ways, and the ease of use for guests. And I truly appreciate everyone at the customer service center. Unexpected issues always come up for events and they always remain calm while walking me through how to solve the issue at hand. Love, love OneCause for silent auctions!

Pros

is easy to set-up, has wonderful customer support if/when you have questions or issues, and provides a great user experience.

Cons

There have only been a few things I did not like about 's mobile bidding platform, mostly dealing with file types and image hosting on a thirdparty platform (dropbox) BUT those have issues have been resolved with their new platform :)

My experience has been great. I especially appreciate the customer service help that is available whenever I have a question or need guidance. I also like the AI addition.

Pros

I like that is very intuitive to set up and manage. From setup to customer service to the end user, I think the process is seamless. It might seem expensive, but the time savings must be considered. It makes for a very efficient process, especially for non-profits with limited staff.

Cons

It is a very big process to get guests entered with all of the information. It takes too much time.

\[sensitive content hidden\] was great at teaching us how to use the platform. The Run of Show gives the needed framework and every customer support person was exceptional.

Pros

The entire platform is wonderful! Easy to use and comprehensive. \[sensitive content hidden\] met with us on a regular basis and was very helpful at explaining to the team how the platform works. Customer support was great and Jessica, who joined us at the event, was outstanding.

Cons

There are some redundancies at the point on entering the guests names. Also, it is very confusing for the guests to have to enter their credit card number to claim the ticket, even though their tickets were complimentary. They thought that the ticket purchase was required.

### "One Cause is a great online platform"

I had a great experience with One Cause. As the new Events Coordinator I was able to use Zooms and online tools to learn about the One Cause platform. I was also able to schedule meetings with a One Cause person and ask my questions while looking at the screen together. I am looking forward to working with One Cause again.

Cons

People did not like that they had to enter a phone number and email address just to look at the Silent Auction on One Cause.

### "New to One Cause and call me Impressed!"

Pretty good thus far. I'm working with the platform for our end of year appeals so I am engaged ion learning more on how to track the donations - through the site and through our mailing we sent.

Pros

I was very impressed with the event planning capabilities of the platform - I felt that it did everything I needed and more!

Cons

I was really looking for one place to see everything I needed to go through to set-up an event. My One Cause person showed it to me, but after I had done a ton of work finding it out myself.

The University and Chat are very helpful from the administrative side. The ease of use from the administrator's side is wonderful. It is not as user friendly as I would like for the guests. The guests do not go through training like administrators and that is cumbersome.

Pros

Ease of organization, ease of ticket sales by administrator, chat communication for help.

Cons

No way to save contacts for future blast emails around a similar event. It would be nice to send blast emails as well as blast texts. Guests struggled to assign tickets from their end.

### "Great Auction Software and Customer Service"

Switching to this software really improved the quality of our annual Auction and helped us reach a new level. We have used the software for 5 years now and are very happy with the quality and service we receive (taking into account the comments about the old software being better than the new software).

Pros

This online bidding software is incredibly user-friendly for our bidders and has very good administrative options for our Auction team. Also, the customer service at One Cause is always excellent. We pay extra to have an on-site representative at our event, and it has always helped our event to go smoothly. Using this software is an investment, we pay around $3,000-$4,000 total to use it just for our Auction event every year, but it is well worth the cost for the amount of money we raise and the ease of use of our bidders and team.

Cons

Last year (2022) we used the new bidding software that was developing. There were many significant problems with this bidding software that made things difficult for our bidders and our team running the event. This year (2023) we were able to switch back to their older software, and that was a much better experience. We will want to continue using this older software in the future.

### "It'll Get the Job Done"

I would say that overall the end-user experience has been good with minimal complaints and confusion. The back-end for these systems is very confusing and takes a lot of technology understanding, Googling, calling the help center, and trial and error. There was a lot of frustration in our office as we navigated setting up the system (both years, because we unfortunately had to learn an entirely new system this year from the one we learned last year). I am so glad the events went well and the end-users were pleased with the experience, but the set-up was definitely hard to navigate. I hope the new VEC is more set-up friendly, and will integrate more of the products into one location.

Pros

The end-user experience was seamless and fairly easy to navigate. Our donors were impressed and excited about the interactivity and the ability to participate in the silent auction and get reminders right on their phones. We hosted an event last year in-person and used the Mobile Bidding Software for our silent auction, and our revenue was significantly increased because of the engagement. We then used the Virtual Event Software for an entirely virtual event this year including a silent and live auction and appeal. The engagement was great, and our live auction went far better than expected.

Cons

The fact that the Mobile Bidding Software (MBS) and the Virtual Event Center (VEC) do not integrate and the VEC was still under construction make it hard to leave a review for what I liked least. But in terms of the MBS; the software is not very intuitive and there are a lot of areas where I didn't like having to duplicate my process (like in the item vs. package). The reports you could run at the end using the MBS were really helpful, but the VEC had hardly any options for reporting and we had to create a lot of our own reports, which was incredibly time consuming. The lack of ticketing functionality in the VEC led us to use the MBS for ticketing only and then we had to comp every single ticket individually because the VEC did not allow us to upload a csv file for all of our comped tickets. There are a lot of pieces that can be improved in the VEC but they are planning to improve them as they continue to build the software. More knowledge about the system in the "help center" and "knowledge bank" would have been really great.

### "Valuable Fundraising Tool"

has become a valuable tool in our fundraising arsenal. During the pandemic the platform provided us the ability to hold all of our planned events even with the cancellation of in-person events and the uncertainty that surrounded event planning. OneCause provided the tools to enable virtual and contactless events pretty seamlessly. Our constituent base has adapted to the use of the online platform, which we continue to use with live events as well, and we have been able to grow our donor base by offering an online component to donors who cannot attend in-person events but still want to support our cause.

Pros

We purchased this software when the need for virtual events arose. We were looking for a tool to use for fundraising events that included raffles, silent auctions, registration, and peer-to-peer campaigns. The different options available within the software allowed us to tailor each event set up to our specific needs. We required a platform that would be viable for both a virtual and in-person events and would also offer options for hybrid events. The help and support available from helped to streamline the learning curve. Once we got past the learning curve, the product is easy to use. The various reporting functions were important since the software does not integrate with our CRM system. The ease of use for our donor base was a factor as well.

Cons

does not integrate with the CRM system we use, so we had to come up with a few internal workarounds to address accounting and donor contact issues. Setting up event pages is not intuitive, and I needed the help of a web developer to give the pages a professional look and feel. There is a large learning curve to be able to utilize all aspects of the software, which involved a lot of online training videos and articles.

Our overall experience has been amazing. From the technical support, customer service, and overall event management One Cause has improved our entire events process.

Pros

We started out with the mobile bidding software and it streamlined our fundraising events increasing revenue and accessibility for guests to attend globally even if they couldn't attend in person. We then moved on to include peer to peer for donor management and campaigns. This software has changed our overall event production providing a smooth process for the user and the attendees.

Cons

I think the one improvement I would suggest is having the option to text attendees through the peer to peer software similar to the mobile bidding software.

### "Learning Curves - but an excellent product!"

I've generally had a great experience with , as the "power-user" on my team. There is admittedly a learning curve, given the vast amount of features available, but overall the online support is very helpful for granular questions I've encountered, and the event management process, from table set up to silent auction packages, is fairly plug and play.

Pros

The capabilities to populate registration details from an admin-perspective and the intuitive check-in process the day of. I also liked the text messaging platform for updates throughout the event. The variety of reporting metrics is also excellent. Great real-time chat support as well.

Cons

The user experience/interface of setting up Giving Center pages is a bit clunky and difficult to navigate. The refund/outstanding balance process is a bit inconsistent as well.

Every time I wanted to access the platform, the login process was frustrating and unreliable. Improving the sign-in experience would make the platform much more user-friendly.

I find the website a bit challenging when searching for specific information. The navigation could be more intuitive, especially for users who are new to the platform. A clearer structure and improved search functionality would greatly enhance the user experience.

I cannot say enough good things about . Their team provided support wherever we needed it and made sure we were set up for success the night of our event. They were responsive, helpful, and truly invested in our success. It made for a seamless event!

Cons

I don't really have any negative feedback. Some tools take a bit of time to learn, but the support team made the learning curve easy.

### "Great for traditional bidding/paddle raises"

Pros

It's one of the only pieces of software still around that does traditional paddle raise/bidding with a held credit card and charge at a later date. A lot of software requires bidders/donors to register for an account or submit their information through a form. allows for the flexibility of a more curated participant experience.

Cons

The UI/UX of the back end is old and clunky to use.

I have loved using for our events. Setup is easy and the customer support is responsive and helpful. Our bidding and donations increased tremendously since making the switch 7 years ago. The product keeps getting better.

Pros

Customer Service! Very knowledgable staff. Very helpful on technical issues and other operational areas. I love the platform for my event guests. Most understand it easily and can troubleshoot pretty quickly.

Cons

For me, the actual adding multiple pictures for items. And, the custom pages can be a little technical for rookies.

elevated our fundraising events to a level our rural community wasn't even necessarily ready for. However, it was quickly embraced and has helped us to reach further and raise more than we otherwise could have.

Pros

Bringing as a mobile bidding platform to our fundraising events elevated our reach, impact and fundraising goals.

Cons

Initially the cost was relatively large for us as we utilized onsite support for our large gala. However, a couple years in we became incredibly confident in the set up and usage of the software and now utilize it DIY for all of our events.

has elevated our event processes and in turn our fundraising. The next advancement they have rolled out with the new platform is truly NEXT LEVEL. It provides even more integration and opportunity for opening events to people outside the room with increased functionality and support, in addition to support features for non-event specific fundraising. The creativity and passion that goes into creating their software and services offered makes OneCause stand out.

Pros

We've used for several years on multiple events and it's such an easy platform. The team is supportive and always provides best practices to help keep us on track and making things the most effective. They stay in touch throughout the process which makes the day of easier on everyone. I like the extensive reporting options and variety of ways to export the data. The onsite staff is crucial for event success - their team thinks about events in a big picture way often enabling them to be a step ahead. They manage so much behind the scenes that keep the nonprofit members able to focus on guests.

Cons

Integration was easy and I can't think of anything that's missing for my needs.

### "OneCause Helps with Our Cause!"

I love ! No more paper bid sheets! No more raffle tickets! Everything is on the OneCause platform where tickets, bidding, and donations are simple.

Pros

is very userfriendly and when I don't know how to do something, their training videos and websites are very helpful as is customer service when I need a little more help! We've used OneCause for over a decade and I've been working with it for the past three years for our event planning. We've had events where OneCause provided support persons and equipment and we've had events that were completely DIY. As the event is approaching and ending, I use OneCause multiple times a day to track progress and do post-event reports. Our most recent experience with OneCause was for a golf tournament (a new event for us) and integration and implementation was easy and seamless!

Cons

My only issue with is when I'm entering items for our auctions and click Save and Next, it doesn't always save my entry. It's not a deterrent, I just go about entering, saving, and entering the next item differently.
