Distributed on premises with no recurring payment. Good technical support. Cons Outdated layout and a bit complicated for my technical staff when we wanted to customize. January 21, 2026 5.0 Overall, we have had a very good experience with Simplio3D. The software does what it is supposed to, at a good price. Pros Simplio3D allows for easy setting up of a product configurator for online ordering. Customers are able to fully customise their products based on the options defined in the Simplio3D backend by the user. The configurators are easily embedded into a website and connected to ecommerce via one of the two currently available links. The plans Simplio offer are excellent value for money, and the customer support is second to none. Cons Some features are still being developed, with workarounds being available in the interim. This has caused the need for some of the 3D models to be adapted to fit the workaround. Customer support has been excellent in guiding this process, alongside the available documentation. The initial setup was extremely simple, and the documentation was helpful. I also find customer service to be excellent, with a special mention to \[sensitive content hidden\] from customer service/sales doing an amazing job. Pros I appreciate its flexibility, as it allows for numerous variable configurations. The setup was extremely simple, aided by effective documentation and outstanding customer service. Pros The way to create the configurator, I find more intuitive than other solutions and at the same time it still offers a high degree of customization. Cons The e-commerce integration part is not as user friendly as the rest of the app, but on that side it came with excellent technical support. Senior Software Engineer Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I have used Simplio3D for a hand-made wooden box customizer website" January 22, 2018 5.0 Pros The latest version comes with great improvements in terms of speed and design. - For start, Simplio3D it's easy to install. - The back-end area where you create your configurable products it's very intuitive and fun to work with. - We had a good technical support that helped us through the entire installation process. - Easily generate iFrames and embedd into a website - Unlimited number of configurable products that you can generate - Supports PNG transparent imagery for product visualization - Open for various layout modifications Cons You need a developer if you want to do more than what standard version does, but Simplio3D staff provides additional services for those who want customizations and integration with eCommerce websites. Just perfect for some of my customers that don't want something elaborate, able to generate dynamic images and generate leads. The last version it's quite fast in terms of loading using minimal server resources. Works well with PayPal if you want to finalize payments. Cons Despite the name, Simplio3D is not really a 3D application rather you can upload images and generate angles for each image and gives the impression of a real 3D perspective view. The company can adapt a real 3D perspective view but under customization and it's not found in the standard version, yet.
