January 29, 2026 4.0 Very good, I had to set up in 3 days due to another platforms inability to follow through on some features. The customer service is PHENOMENAL and having the ability to receive answers from a real person is refreshing!! Pros If you want to quickly set an app with resources, and schedules this is PERFECT. The conference attendees were happy to have a maps and locations as the event location had a confusing layout. There was a little onboarding curve but they will be set for next year and I can also include the links created by Yapp to send to attendees in advance so they can download and peruse before the conference. Cons The design is a little outdated and the spreadsheet to upload information was a bit confusing with all the added columns. The process of adding attendee's photos seems arduous - but I am hoping that there is a good workaround that I just didn't have time to explore based on how quickly I had to set up. Switched from [RegFox](https://www.capterra.com/p/91029/RegFox/) They are unable to populate information is you have a hybrid event, the downloading process was extremely confusing for the attendee...we tried it out on a few people and it was a nightmare. You have to be able to access your email (that you registered with) on your phone to download the app, it send you a confirmation number and the list goes on. The issue for me was the hybrid piece, which was known from the moment I signed up with the salesmans but MORE IMPORTANTLY, my attendees do not all bring their work phones with them OR cannot access their work emails from their personal phones so that entire process is super difficult to navigate. As an admin, I wish we could make changes on the app. I won't have my laptop with me all the time and I would like to change items as needed. (Maybe someone's name is misspelled, or we need to add info to a bio.) Pros Overall, Yapp is an easy-to-use app. I like that it is user-friendly and doesn't require a big learning curve. It has the tools needed to promote our event, which is exactly what we need. I like how we can showcase our agenda and let attendees know in advance what to expect at our conference. Cons I had trouble loading logos to our agenda page. I wanted to add sponsor logos under the description and had trouble on a few. It would help to indicate what format they should be in and have a way to edit the logo size. I also noticed that when I wanted to edit a few pages, there were banners across the wording I needed (for example, the date of my event was always over the word "edit") Some of the information we added didn't always save. No more paper schedule. I scrolled through the app on each day activity. Pros I love the fact that I can upload documents so everyone can access with group emails. This app makes accountability a thing since everyone has to access document using their emails they use on the app by themselves. Cons I like the fact that I can upload a photo. However, it does not allow multiple photos upload at a time which makes it time consuming to upload many picture one at a time. It was very easy to navigate from both the end-user and administrative perspectives. I also loved being able to get real-time data about session feedback. We will definitely utilize this platform next year! Pros With a limited budget for a small symposium, the app was exactly what we were looking for! It really helped provide our attendees with the most up-to-date information about vendors, speakers, and activities. Cons While most of our attendees had no issue downloading and setting up the app, some had trouble, such as being asked for payment or being asked for unnecessary information. Once we figured out to send them directly to the app store, we did not have those issues. I'm not sure if it was from our QR code or just a few hiccups during the rollout of new technology. We will know more of how the apps during our second day of the conference but so far so good. Pros I like that yapp is user friendly. An app for all ages with easy access to upload material. We are currently using the app for our spring conference and people have discussed the ease of it. I also like that the map is integrated. This allowed us to place addresses in real time. Cons I haven’t used the app outside of our conference to be able to give a fair con. If I had to choose something - I would say overall aesthetic could be better. More themed features maybe. Cons I would like to be able to do a bit more customization of colors, graphics etc. Some of this may have been on me with not having the time to really explore the app, but a bit more customizing would be great. Not as fancy or feature rich as other platforms, but by far the most affordable. Simple and effective. Pros It is a very easy solution to use and accomplishes the desire of having a conference "app". Worth the money and can be used simply for data distribution and communication, or you can use more advanced features if desired. Compared to all the other enterprise systems out there, this is the only one that is anywhere affordable for a non-profit event. Cons A little more customization on the app pages designed for just content display would be nice, but the more custom you can get the more complex it gets. A few more built-in themes or styles for the app structure/layout would be nice, but again, keeping it simple can actually be a blessing. More dynamic linking of data would be helpful (being able to create instances of items and then link to it throughout the app rather than having to recreate the data on different pages). It’s highly customizable, and even the basic package offers robust features at an impressively low cost. As our event grows, there’s potential to explore higher packages for additional functionality, while the responsive developers continue to make the process a breeze. April 20, 2023 5.0 The directions for app set-up were very clear and covered most of our needs. We were able to get quick answers when needed from the chat support. The app made it much easier for attendees to choose and find the activities they wanted to participate in. We didn't know what to expect, since this was our first year using an app, but we were surprised and thrilled that almost half of our attendees/staff downloaded the app. It was well worth the time and money we invested and we will definitely use Yapp for our next event. Pros It took much less time than I expected to transfer the information from our web site to our new Yapp App. The clear directions and page templates made it easy to set up. Attendees loved the easy access on their phones, and used the app mostly to check our schedule of activities. Yapp allows the end user to create their own personal schedule. People also checked out vendor, presenter, and performer details on the app, and used the maps to find classrooms and vendor booths. Event management also found themselves referring to the app throughout the weekend. Cons I would like to have our own event icon on the user's home screen instead of the Yapp icon. We also found the "personal schedule" icon in the app was difficult to find, but once you found it was tremendously helpful. This was our first year using an app, and we would like to explore more of the announcement and social media features at our next event. Reason for choosing Yapp We heard about Yapp through another event. While we did research other app software, it was a clear choice to use Yapp when we saw how easy it was to set up. Since day one, the staff at Yapp App has been very supportive and very quick to respond to any of the questions I had in terms of using the app and the features it provided. The chat feature they have is great and they respond to you quite quickly. Also, it is very cost-effective for what you get and you can choose to add additional apps if you decide you need more. I also like that once you retire an app, you have the ability to archive it. Pros This app has allowed me to seamlessly communicate with the attendees of our annual leadership summit. It was easy to learn how to use this app. There is no coding involved and each section can be customized to your liking. You can load schedules, bios, pictures, PDF, videos, etc. It also has instant messaging that allows you to quickly push out notifications. I love that you can create your content and when you are ready, you can simply push the publish button. We have also used it for other teams as well not just for our leadership summit. Cons I wish you could add a registration feature to the app with the ability to cap the attendees at a certain number for each workshop being offered. Possibly pushing this feature out first, before the entire contents of the app are populated. Reason for choosing Yapp Our company hosted a leadership conference at a hotel in south Florida and as the event planner, they recommended we use the Yapp App that they were offering. October 20, 2022 5.0 Yapp is an incredible little application which has enhances our ability to communication and organize internal events. We use it internally for conferences with up to 2,000 participants where the individual schedule of events for each participant are published as part of their profile. As changes occur due to cancellations, or on the ground logistical challenges, these can be updated quickly keeping everyone organized.OUTSTANDING Support! As other reviewers have said, the support from Yapp is second to none. We push the limits but any time we have a question or concern, the quality and timing of the response has always exceeded our expectations. Pros •Simple enough for non-technical staff to setup•Ease of deployment•Users love the social elements•Ability to publish individual agendas (creativity required) Cons While there are always opportunities for improvement or enhanced functionality, it's hard to find fault with anything in Yapp.While not a 'con' it would be nice to have couple of additional features:•Ability to add pages in other languages and add a language tag to people. If any page existed in the alternative language, present it rather than the English page.•Ability to add raw HTML to the about field in the people upload. Pros When we needed to look like "the bigs guys" on a budget, we searched for cost-effective yet powerful app purveyors. Yapp was suggested to me by a web developer as a cost-effective way to promote a conference for a client. From speaker bios, to multi-track event scheduling, and pushing announcements, Yapp delivered the goods and had great customer service. This expanded into a few human resources apps as well. Cons The one thing I would like is to have more design control -- multiple branding colors available for different items. I find it very easy to work with and a high adoption rate among users, which decreases our need for printing programs. When users were unsure about using the app instead of a printed program, many return the program after a short time using Yapp. Very convenient for me as the conference planner to have all the information on my phone. Pros Yapp is very easy to set-up and does not require technical staff to do so. It is also easy for users. My conferences frequently have attendees with intellectual disabilities and autism and they find it easy to use and helpful. Cons Would like to see a little more flexibility in template pages.
