### "Docparser keeps it simple but packs a heavy punch"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Overall the experience has been extremely positive with us feeling that we have certainly achieved great value for money based on the features available, the ease of use and the built-in security. We would highly recommend Docparser to anyone looking to automate document extraction.

Pros

The visual rule creator is fantastic allowing you to submit sample documents and then use them to locate the information you want to extract whilst creating the rules. It makes the learning curve of the product much easier than other products as you can see the results real-time. The dashboards allow you to quickly see how many documents have been processed and provides immediate access to the data stored within the Docparser system.

Cons

Retention of data is limited on some of the plans and this means that you must ensure you have copies saved elsewhere before they are removed, however even on the lower plans the retention is still about 90 days.

### "Easy and Automated Data Extraction"

September 15, 2025

5.0

I would recommend Docparser to any business looking to automate workflows from standard PDFs that they receive on a routine basis. It took us a couple of months to really get things tweaked, but the system runs in the background now and we are happy with the setup.

Pros

Data extraction is easy and automated. We import PDFs directly into our order entry system. Through the use of emailing scripts and Docparser's webhooks, the processing is seamless.

Cons

When PDFs change or are scanned at an angle the data gets off. That can be hard to catch and fix at order entry time. We look at each raw PDF and verify the data on the way in. We've just made it part of our practice

Reason for choosing Docparser

It was easy to test and prove that it would do what we needed. It also supported email into the system and then an API back out. It served our needs at a price point that made sense.

### "Good in 2022, less good in 2025"

June 5, 2025

3.0

In 2022, this was our choice but now we feel it has become complacent and fallen behind alternatives.

Pros

Good at receiving files/pages vi API, parsing data out via webhooks and holding mapping rules for specific elements.

Cons

It requires too much manual effort, is restricted on its AI capabilities, does not really assist with deriving the type of document before parsing and can be expensive.

### "Easy to use and accurate results"

September 16, 2025

5.0

We’ve been using Docparser since 2017, and it has consistently delivered excellent results. Over the years, the team has added many useful features and even implemented a few suggestions we made, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer feedback. I would confidently recommend Docparser to anyone needing to extract structured data from PDFs—it’s a reliable, powerful tool that continues to evolve.

Pros

Docparser is incredibly intuitive and quick to learn, making it easy to get started. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and the data extraction results are second to none. One standout feature is the ability to not only extract data but also clean and format it to match specific needs—this flexibility has been a game-changer for our workflows.

Cons

While the platform offers a wide range of parser rules and filters for data cleanup, the sheer number of options can be overwhelming. It’s not always clear what the best practice is for tackling a specific parsing challenge, so I tend to stick with the rules I’m familiar with—even though I suspect there might be easier or more efficient alternatives available.

### "Very effective scraping"

July 13, 2020

5.0

Pros

The information that I was scraping was very tricky for similar products to accurately scrape. I was very pleased to find out that Docparser gave me the control to scrape my PDFs in unique ways to get as much of the information off as possible. It was easy to use and absolute perfect for what I needed it for.

Cons

Because I was running this daily I had a lot of documents with the same name in my previous run files. I wish there was a way to filter/rename/sort the previously run files to keep them more organized.

### "Great solution, more flexible than other options so great for problem solving"

December 23, 2019

5.0

I have a huge number of customer PO's in pdf format to convert to data for uploading to the accounting system. This saves me 20 hours per month so well worth it!

Pros

The flexibility and different parse options, other solutions were very limited in their setup and document type options. Also the uploading and processing were incredibly fast, as well as being easy to use and setup as well as trouble shoot where needed.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind, all my needs were met

### "Business Ready Solution"

September 16, 2025

4.0

As a product 8/10. I wouldn't complain too much because this service is what it says on the box and they're always improving. From AI Summaries to predefined common use templates, its well worth it. The biggest take away should be that DocParser is essentially production ready from the get-go. I recommend this Doc Parser as my first choice for anyone looking for a similar solution.

Pros

\- Good UI, easy to navigate and well structured. - Well Priced, while the addons can be a bit costly, it isn't so costly as to make the service restrictive. - Great for Quick POC and Deployment - Data Extraction: Well formatted and easy to work with. - Maintains Original document which is great, and auto deletes after 90days by default so you don't have to construct complicated policies. Very user friendly, got our account and APIs set up in a matter of hours and working in production nearly as short of a time.

Cons

\- Can be tricky to understand some of the more overly simplified steps/components. - UI Loading times after edit can be frustrating. - Would like to see more around security (or at least indicators) for document malware and fraud detection for documents. (eg. Bank Document Modified after originally created) - While While I have no real complaints about the UI I would like to see some improvent by way of a dashboard and smoother data viewer (add tables and what-not)

### "Luckily you're here!"

September 15, 2025

5.0

I'm more than satisfied with the product. I adopted DocParser when I was supposed to build something similar with my team, and it allowed my business to accelerate significantly.

Pros

I've found it very useful in several respects. What's been crucial for our business is the ability to create, within the same template, paths that create sub-rules, driven by slightly different aspects of the same document. Furthermore, the ability to easily transform the various steps step by step—just like with an ETL—is what makes the whole solution simple and effective. Last but not least, the ability to integrate everything easily with API calls and webhooks to external systems. Finally, costs are truly scalable, with credit plans available depending on workloads.

Cons

There are sometimes performance issues in workflows and writing rules that require many steps... I suggest the work team take this aspect into account, because sometimes modifying rules is a bit complex... but over time I have seen that the situation has steadily improved, I trust in you!

### "Reliable product that takes some time to master"

August 28, 2025

5.0

Used it for several years now and uptime is excellent, support response is good. We never have issues with their API being down, or slow. The mapping can be a bit challenging, and I we have 2 staff that know the platform who are now expert users. It does take a bit for a user to get up to speed on the mapping process.

Pros

The interface is obvious, showing the most important things in easily accessible places. The API is well documented and reliable.

Cons

The act of mapping a PDF for extraction needs to be more capable or more adaptable. Sometimes we end up doing some goofy things to capture the data we want because we cannot do something obvious (such as take all the characters x characters before an identified string).

Pros

Cons

not much, be great if it is cheaper but other than that there is not much or anything to hate! The integrations are really useful and flexible.

### "Docparser saves us hours every month"

September 15, 2025

5.0

We use Docparser for parsing and extracting data from supplier PDF invoices, we process over 2,500 per month and using Docparser saves us hours every week. All data is extracted extremely accurately and ends up in a Google Sheet.

Pros

Docparser is super easy to extract data from documents, their rule wizard is simple to use. It links up very easily with Zapier and PowerAutomate. They have good data retention and features like SSO and 2FA.

Cons

To be honest I can't really think of anything. Thought for 10 minutes and still can't come up with anything.

### "I stumbled onto everything I wanted but didn't know how to descrine"

November 18, 2023

5.0

Pros

Great for building your own logic and strategies from getting data from inconsistent layouts. It was a cost-effective solution that integrated with what we were doing from the get-go.

Cons

I can't really fault the value for money. I'd always love more more and more advanced features, but it tackles all the problems I throw at it.

### "Docparser for Business Process Automation"

April 30, 2019

4.0

The reason we implemented Docparser was to reduce our manual order entry work load and to reduce errors which typically occur during manual entry. We've been able to reduce our sales order manual order entry work load by 50% which helps us cope with our peak order entry periods much better. We've found that the work practices of our customers impact the the ability of the Docparsers to parse documents successfully. Some of our customers print and scan orders and send us scanned copies so the quality of the documents can vary. We have greater parsing success with customers who send orders generated by their business systems. Overall we are very happy with Docparser. It was relatively simple to implement, helps us cope better with high order entry periods and times when staff are on leave.

Pros

Relatively easy to implement. Very powerful and able to parse most documents. The system is able to do a webhook which means it's not necessary to poll for parsed files although it can do a polled architecture as well.

Cons

Does not implement OAuth 1.0 two factor authentication. We've implemented a fully automated system where customer orders are automatically forwarded to Docparser from our email server. Docparser then parses the pdf and forwards the data in JSON to an outward facing Suitelet in Netsuite. This Suitelet then does a Restful integration using OAuth 1.0 to a Netsuite Restlet. The Suitelet handles the required two factor authentication. The Restlet loads the order to Netsuite.

### "Great product"

September 27, 2018

5.0

Pros

It's relatively quick to set up parsing jobs with a minimum of technical ability. I'm always looking for low-code ways to automate workflows. There isn't another solution out there that is really comparable as far as I know.

Cons

It's not meant for high production short term jobs, their pricing is set up more for a steady volume, and the credits purchased each month don't roll over. But for creating multiple, recurring, steady volume jobs it's extremely well worth it.

### "Docparser saves my team hundreds of hours and helps identify new business opportunities"

October 7, 2020

5.0

Every month my team would get a 700+ page PDF report with project status updates. Each page was a different project. Some of these were old projects and not of interest. Some were projects we were already working on and needed to keep tracking. Some were new projects that we needed to engage with. Searching and splitting up this document manually was inefficient and we were missing out on important projects. I started searching for solutions, from Python scripts to PowerQuery to software packages/services. I looked at several companies, including Docparser. I attended webinars and had demos. By being able to try our Docparser's free tier with some sample documents, I was able to figure out that it could do exactly what I wanted. I got some help from the user support team and now I've got my parsing rules perfected. So every month when the 700+ page PDF comes out, I can pull out the information my team needs and export it all to Excel. We're savings hundreds of hours of frustration and not missing anything important.

Pros

Very easy to setup because of helpful guides. I was able to "test drive" the software using the free tier, to make sure it could produce EXACTLY what I wanted. This was a huge help to evaluate vs other products and help make our decision. Now that I have my parsing rules set up, it's extremely easy to run my big report once a month and distribute to my team.

Cons

Bit of a learning curve to get the parsing rules set up correctly. I needed to attend their help webinar to understand what I was doing wrong (but then got lots of help).

Reason for choosing Docparser

Once I got started with free tier, it was really easy to test out and make sure it could do what I needed--no "leap of faith" required.

### "A perfect tool for business automation"

November 1, 2019

4.0

We were asked to build a solution that is cost effective, does not require experienced developer, can handle large volume and could be dovetailed in existing systems. Since simple forms could be mapped by the users themselves a feeling of ownership developed and the acceptance was very quick. DocParser was the unanimous choice.

Pros

I researched and tried several tools available for conversion of PDF to data, some good but very expensive and with a stiff learning curve, while others failing to meet the promises. Then I discovered DocParser. Within minutes I was able to map a requisition and export it to excel. Being so visual, training the team was no issue either. The guys just ran away with it and we tested some complex seemingly randomly formatted PO and invoices using sub tables. Mapping forms for Minor variations was no issue either using templates. Used API without any difficulties. Overall a great product .

Cons

Could not figure out how to build a library of keywords so that this could be included in every form for automation mapping. The transition of document in the three steps was initially confusing.

Reason for choosing Docparser

Both have a steep learning curve. Require sound programming knowledge. Expensive.

### "Amazing functionality"

July 3, 2018

5.0

Pros

Has a lot of flexibility to identify data that may be displayed in multiple ways using a dictionary of words to detect what you are looking for. DocParser has allowed us to extract data from purchases and put it into a database to analyze for future purchasing needs.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say about DocParser thus far. If you think there is a feature that's lacking I suggest browsing their documentation because I learned I was doing a work around for a feature they had already implemented (different layouts under the same parser).

### "Perfect for Automating Data Entry"

June 18, 2019

5.0

My experience with Docparser has been excellent. The software has eliminated hours of data entry and the customer support team has been very responsive to any questions I have had.

Pros

Docparser is intuitive and incredibly easy to implement. It is reasonably flexible, so changes can be made quickly as needs evolve. Love the immediacy of being able to see the results of a parsing rule.

Cons

It would be useful to be able to reorder parsing rules. You can create new rules between existing rules, so it is easy enough to get what you need, but the ability to reorder rules would save time.

Reason for choosing Docparser

Docparser was more user friendly and easier to implement.

Pros

Cons

### "Makes CRM integration easy"

April 1, 2019

5.0

This has save hours every week performing data entry and eliminate human error.

Pros

The interface and functions are easy to navigate and it is flexible enough to take data provided by a business partner in PDF form and convert it for easy import into our CRM with a Zapier Zap. This previously took hours every week of manually data entry. Now the process is completely automated.

Cons

The regular expression search and replace doesn't work exactly as I would expect. I had to create multiple regex search and replace filters that should be possible in one. It could be a misunderstanding on my part.

### "helping automate an old industry"

May 7, 2020

They offered a generous free trial that allowed me to get it up and running in a full production environment, allowed my engineering team to connect their API to our internal API. We were fully operational in a production environment before we paid anything, which made signing up for a monthly sub an easy sell.

Pros

I liked the fact that someone like me who doesn't have a computer science degree was able to get this up and running in a matter of a few hours.

Cons

I can't find anything I didn't like as it accomplished the exact task that I needed which was reading a set of specific PDF's that we receive from our customers.

Pros

This is pretty easy to use and makes processing documents easy. The features are robust and the possibilities are endless. It does take some experimenting to get the forms to parse correctly but the website makes it easy to see your results when testing your data filters

Cons

Docparser really can’t be more helpful. They help you with your parsing rules, they get back to you if you’ve got a problem you can’t solve. They’ve been amazing.

Pros

Docparser does what its core mission is very very well. That is to extract text from pdfs and output it in the format you want.

Cons

I would love a feature to also strip out images - so these can be used as well.

Reason for choosing Docparser
