March 12, 2020 5.0 It has improved my organization and allows me to establish better relationships with the parents of the students, as they are involved in the training process of their children's school activities and the follow-up we have also been able to verify that the performance of the students has increased. It is a very robust tool, it has allowed us to establish more effective work methodologies and we are pleasantly satisfied with its functionality. Pros Classter is a web system that also has a mobile application (iOS and Android) very robust that allows the management of school computer systems with learning management, additionally allows progress reports, class registration, grade book, online payments, parent portal and monitoring of attendance, on the other hand is very easy to use, does not require a learning curve because it has a very friendly interface. One aspect to highlight is the parent portal, which allows us as teachers to increase communication with parents and student representatives, as well as allowing them to effectively follow up on the school activities that we carry out at the institution. Cons I am very satisfied with its operation and efficiency, I have nothing negative to contribute, is an excellent tool. Review Source CM Cameron M. April 20, 2026 2.0 We spent several months evaluating Classter, including multiple discussions, internal approvals, and preparation to move forward. The platform initially appeared to meet our needs, and we reached the final stage prior to signing. As a private Christian school in Canada, tax receipting is a standard requirement, not a unique or specialized request. This applies broadly across Canadian private schools and colleges, where issuing tax receipts is part of normal operations and compliance. After months of engagement, we were informed that Classter would not move forward with us due to our size and this requirement. This resulted in significant lost time and required us to restart our search process. If you are a Canadian private school or college that requires tax receipting, I would not recommend investing time in this platform. Pros What I liked most about the system was the parent portal. It is modern, clean, and more intuitive than many other platforms we reviewed. Cons What I liked least was the amount of time invested in the process without alignment on key requirements. It has had some highs and lows as we have navigated the onboarding, customization, and yearly turnover processes with the team. Through all of these times, we have had the opportunity to work with some great support staff that have helped up to navigate the platform and personalize the database to best match our needs and expectations. Pros The thing I most like about Classter is being able to have access to so much information in one place and being able to filter, see history, and customize the database according to preference. Cons The biggest challenge for me was the onboarding processes. Our institution's structure is somewhat different than the traditional school model and finding the configuration and processes to best meet our needs took some time and had its share of growing pains. Every year we are growing into the capacity that is built in. The Classter staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Pros Classter is easy to use once it's setup. It has all the features we need and more. Some of the features we didn't even know we needed and are now growing into and getting setting up. Cons We have had a few instances where we have turned on a feature and it not work, only to have Classter report that they have had to do some backend fixing to get it to work. I was introduced to classter while my school was already using it so I was happy to work with the support team not only for assistance but also to suggest improvements. From a user perspective its a relative easy and straightforward application that handles also well in everyday use but also during high peak season. Cons Some reports especially in the logistics and finance section could use a bit of tweaking. Since though the Finance department is very demanding on the way results are displayed and with the amount of info they can get from a single screen its a common dislike across many platforms besides Classter. Our institutaional needs are very specific, so it is possible that some features are not well suited to our specific needs, and that is not a flaw of Classter as a product. Pros I really like how customizable Classter seems to be. I like that it is possible to have changes made that fit certain institutional needs. I like that entering attendance is very straightforward for teachers, and the grade calculations seem to work well. I like that teachers can link documents to their sessions and assesments, such as lesson plans or materials. Cons 1\. File size limitations: For example: entering student ID photos is difficult and time consuming due to the file size restriction. 2. Usability: It is difficult to understand the language of the platform at times. The distinction between Courses, Classes, and Sessions has been confusing for teachers and admin. 3. Creating Sessions: The process to create sessions is arduous. If a class is changed, or if a teacher joins the team, it is not simple to create all their sessions for them. There should be a way to easily add a "co-teacher" when you are mass-importing sessions. 4. Enrolling Students in their classes/courses: 4.1: Sometimes information does not save the first time. If I change the course status and the registration date and press save, the course status will be saved, but the registration date will NOT be saved. I will have to repest this process until I get the desired result. 4.2: When I attempt to make a change to the course status, I am sometimes unable to do so because of information on the "services" section. These 2 things should not affect one another, for the purposes of our institution.
