This is a SaaS solution that deserves their place in the market, and we are excited to see what the future holds. Pros As the Managing Director for an award-winning agency, we are always looking for new additions to our tech stack. Site Guru was one of many options that we considered as an alternative (and future replacement) for SEMrush, and we were without doubt positively surprised. This really is one of the best options available for hands-on SEO, and it will be exciting to see future developments. Cons Leaves quite a bit to be desired compared to SEMrush, but that is not a fair comparison. Hopefully this company will continue to grow and develop, without going into the same pitfalls as SEMrush and other corporate/agency alternatives. Reporting is crystal clear and easy to transmit to my SiteCare clients. The tool is also nice to work with, free of frustration. Pros It gives search engine insights in an elegant and user-friendly way. The tool is nicely structured and the app is taken care of. Also, the reporting suits various needs, without enforcing elements to be included. The team also understands what real SEO is about. Cons It only integrates with Google Analytics for insights into traffic. The tool does not depend on it, however. But adding an integration with a privacy-first tool like Simple Analytics would certainly be a bonus. It also analyses the content of the pages to generate titles and descriptions, all that boring stuff. It monitors backlinks so you don't need to use a different app for that. As is the case with most tools, they do not do it all, but SiteGuru is a great value for your money and a tool to keep when you want to research, track, and optimize your on-site content. Pros I like that the on-site research, tracking, and reporting is extremely robust. Coming from a higher-cost alternative, SiteGuru has surpassed my expectations in this part of the content marketing services. The keyword tracking, optimization of headers, meta tags, alt tags, and descriptions is very helpful when churning out content. The learning curve is minimal with the easy to navigate interface and dashboard. Cons I would liked to have had many of the same reporting functions for competitors. Once you find out what keywords you're missing, you can load them and track those suggestions. They give you AI suggestions for Meta and Titles when needed and their additional features are so nicely built into the system. They give you actionable items that work wonderfully for getting things done from a step-by-step process. They give you so many details on what to do, and their product is amazing for an SEO evaluation. They also break down the importance of items to help with your action order. Cons My experience over this past year or so with them has been amazing and I cannot think of any cons. I've tried \*all\* the software out there and it's either too simple, too complex, or just plain old BAD. SiteGuru is beautifully deigned, well maintained, and the features are simple to understand. But the data is useful, and digs deep without becoming confusing. It's a great cost to results ratio, and I use it in my "day job" to save time and effort, and plan on onboarding some freelance clients to it too — where the level of insight will be hugely beneficial to both my smaller and larger clients. It's a useful tool as a freelancer, employee, or as an agency. And the support is great. Cons Google Analytics. As Plausible (for example) connects to Search Console I'd LOVE to be able to ditch GA and use Plausible for all my clients. The new breed if analytics software are to stats what SiteGuru is to SEO — simpler, friendlier, easier to manage. Pros It has the clearest interface out of all the SEO page rank tools I've tried (and I've tested a lot!) For each of the keywords, it shows exactly which page on my website has the highest rank. And then for each page, it shows all of the keywords that page ranks for, and the position trend over time. The Focus Keywords section shows the searches per month, page ranked, average position and recent change, and gives tips on how to improve each page. Other really useful features include: Click through rate Competing content (to avoid keyword cannibalisation) Low hanging fruit (highlights what can be done to make the biggest improvements with the least effort) New keywords Lost keywords Content requiring attention Technical elements such as Indexation, Sitemaps, Canonical URLs etc Cons It isn't a fully comprehensive SEO solution e.g. it doesn't check backlinks. But what it does, it does exceptionally well, and I use a different SASS for checking backlinks. This is due to the high amount of detail presented in a very useful way. When it detects an error on the page, it gives an explanation and a list of objectives to complete to eliminate the issue. In addition, it has a very cool "low-hanging fruit" feature. This feature lists some tasks you can do to push the pages just that last mile and achieve better results. So, it not only works as an error detection tool but also automatically detects optimizations that can improve the site's search performance. Further, I will say that the dashboard design is very, very good. When you log in, you are immediately presented with the latest performance data from the website, including the traffic graph and keyword performance. Pros The analytical overview is both unique and very insightful. Cons It lacks keyword research tools, but I'm not sure that it is within their business range, or something they wish to have it.
