May 4, 2023 5.0 The Futures Platform provides me with the data I need to deliver high impact projects for my clients. It is an expensive product relative to some others, however the value for money exists for me and my clients due to the high quality nature of the data, the robust methodologies used and the online tools available. I find the Futures Platform team from the \[sensitive content hidden\] to marketing to sales and customer service to be very accessible and friendly with a strong commitment to providing an excellent product and service. Pros As a consultant having access to a high quality source of emerging change and trend data, built by academically trained futurists is very important to my work. The Futures Platform allows me to quickly and accurately build a foresight radar containing relevant data points that myself and my clients can use to discuss, challenge and interrogate futures that support robust scenario creation and business decision making. The emerging change and trend data covers a wide range of areas that can be used across multiple industries and client use cases. The data, reference sources and news links are contemporary and regularly updated. The foresight radar tool provides a clear and engaging visualisation of data that improves accessibility, learning and knowledge sharing. Cons The inbuilt collaboration tools are OK but I still use my own surveys to gather impact and probability rankings and client feedback. The inbuilt collaboration tools work best with long term projects with a large audience. For shorter projects with smaller teams my own tools provide a more personalised client experience. Radars are a great concept to map data, compare trends and visualize threats. Within the phenomenon there is lots of valuable information and sources of to help broaden understanding of the subject.Collaboration tools are brilliant to encourage collaboration and communicate with other individuals or groups. Helps in gaining an understanding of other opinions and perspectives which makes our work un-biased. Cons Visual and functional design of background space on radar screen.
