They have grown a lot over all the years we have utilized their software. About once a year they experience growing pains with service disruptions. Other than that, their services have been top-notch. Most of our employee-users prefers using the Smartwebs software to our other software which can handle the same tasks. Pros Most of its modules are intuitive. They are easy/quick to learn whether they are intuitive or not. As it syncs with our operations and accounting software, we were even more pleased with it. Typically, after an update, we encounter a lot of issues but they are generally corrected within a few days. Pros The versatility of having an office version and mobile version working seamlessly is very beneficial. Unfortunately, we are in a current contract with AppFolio. The ease of their program is so user friendly my three-year-old could even figure it out. Pros The ease of their program is so convenient while in the field or in the office. Makes inspection time in the field less than using previous programs. (Tops 1, VMS or AppFolio) Cons Just recently the feedback or assistance with support has been rather slow. Even though we rarely need supports help unless we are entering a new community. Great customer service and product that continues to evolve and improve with time. Pros Product is easy to use and automates the process seamlessly for the most part. Mostly easy to use. Developer team actually listens to us about improvements that can be made and tries to implement when they can. Cons Integration with our VMS system wasn't easy at first and there are still bugs that need to be worked out from time to time. Some features of the software are cumbersome to use, not always user friendly, sometimes multiple ways to get to the same feature, which can make the process confusing. Cannot mass update the call to action text for a particular violation category across all associations. The system seems to have down time a day or so every few months which can prevent us from getting our work done for an entire day or more. doesn't always sync properly to our VMS system. Most of the time things are consistent, though. Pros In my opinion the system is user friendly and the information you need is readily available to you. Cons The system drops off ARC history after a six month period which makes it challenging when you are performing property inspections especially if you are new employee to a company. I either need more time to set up properly or more help from SmartWebs. I would like to use it more, but too many things need to be done before it is my main go to communication tool. Pros I like that I can just fill out a violation and it is sent by mail instead of having to print and mail from the office. Cons Setting up the software to integrate with my information is difficult and time consuming. I need to work with it more but don't have a lot of time. In my opinion, the product could stand a little tweaking, but generally Pros I appreciate the ability to integrate violation photos with the violation text in the field. Also, being able to access archival information, which in our case, includes photos, letters and voting information is a positive. Cons My lease favorite function is the letter writing. I would like to see the ability to be more flexible in the writing of standard letters. Also, our community is composed of rather large homes (10,000 + sq. ft.). The program is limited to uploading no more than 12 MB while I am seeing more and more sets of plans that are 17-25MB. Expanding this ability would really be helpful. Review Source CM Carrie M. Cons Violations - Once a violation has been processed, there is no way to completely delete that violation without contacting customer support. There have been situations in the past where a violation has been uploaded to the wrong address, and there is no way to completely delete it if its been sent to the owner. ARC- If an application is being resubmitted, and the committee members have already voted, it shows their previous vote. Therefore, it's very confusing to the committee because they think they have already voted, when in fact, they voted on the previous submission, not the re-submission. Review Source EM Erica M. I do like the Smartwebs program but have not had good customer service with issues, mainly the turn around time is very lengthy and the answer of "it must be a glitch" seems to be the IT's staple answer for most issues. Pros Most all functions are easy to use. I like the note section both within the violation and on the overall address. The reports are nice as well. Cons The ARC functionality should be added to the app so that we can verify in the field and upload a photo and close them instead of having to close them on a desktop. Cons I wish the database was by unit so all things that occur for that unit are found in the same "drawer" or file. We are able to have all employees using it in the field and that is very helpful. Cons One area that I feel could really use improvement is the length of time it takes to get an association set up.
