### "Great system run by great people"

We use Futura in the Retail stores, Buying team, Warehouses and finance. All contact I have had with the team has been positive, be it over the phone, emails or face to face. The system has improved how we Goods in items and distribute to our stores by introducing it in our warehouse.

Pros

Support team are always quick to respond very knowledgeable Ease of use both back end and front end Training sessions run by Futura are informative and you come away learning more than before Staff are always friendly and on hand when needed Reports are easy to tailor and run

Cons

limited options for mobile POS More indepth reporting tool requires extra licences

### "Superb product and even better customer service"

Our on boarding was on a tight schedule, this was no problem for Futura. Our discounts and offers are complicated, again no problem for Futura. Almost 1 year into our relationship and the level of service is as fantastic as it was at day 1. We are very happy.

Pros

Our favourite thing is the many ways that a task can be achieved. Then, in the rare case that the software doesn't have the answer the guys at Futura will go ahead and build it! It's almost as if they want you to come up with something they haven't considered so they can go ahead and improve the product even further.

Cons

Some of the built in reports can be formatted in a way that would probably be described as outdated. Saying that, there are loads of ways to get the data you need so it's not the end of the world. I've also heard that some retail managers like these built in reports as they can access them very quickly and without assistance.

Reason for choosing FuturaERS

Another web based provider with initially cheap set-up that quickly gets very expensive. Also with very limited and restrictive reporting. Doubted the ability of their stock handling software which we needed to be very robust.

Switched from

[RetailStore](https://www.capterra.com/p/178395/RetailStore/)

Cybertill is a web based system so no internet means no till. Also meant that your internet connection dictated the speed of transactions. The way Cybertill dealt with discounts and offers would often break and require long winded workarounds. Customer Service while very accessible was slow to fix issues that they themselves would decide the importance on.

Overall Futura is a good system and one I would recommend especially to small to medium sized businesses as there is a very good level of support available to help you find solutions for any problems or learn how to use particular functionalities

Pros

Once you learn how to use it Futura is very easy to use and is an extremely reliable and stable system, the customer support available is also very good and I can always speak directly to someone who is able to help with any problems or queries

Cons

The weakest part of Futura in my experience is reporting as it only really allows for very basic best seller, or total sales type reports to be run or otherwise full data dumps for a period of time. We have been able to setup the reporting we need off the back of these data dumps through some clever excel spreadsheets to give dashboards of performance but it would be helpful if Futura was able to produce more of these itself

### "Solid Retail Management System with Excellent Service & Support"

We've been using the Futura system for over 15 years. Originally deployed across seven independent stand-alone stores and 20 concessions within the House of Fraser, its reliability is undeniable. We've been able to deploy core upgrades at our own pace and have had several bespoke add-ons developed over the years that are still being used today (e.g. accounting system interface, ecommerce interface, EAN management, sale price import, custom forms). The Futura system remains at the heart of our retail operations today, servicing our London flagship store, our ecommerce website and wholesale distribution.

Pros

\- Flexible configuration & deployment - Reliable & secure data communication - System stability - Comprehensive functionality - Friendly, knowledgeable & efficient support/development teams - Bespoke add-on development available - Regular & relevant training courses available

Cons

\- Looks a little dated - Steep learning curve (formal training highly recommended)

It has been excellent, the team know the software well and have been so helpful in providing training to me, especially as I had no experience of back office retail software before.

Pros

Futura's customer service has been amazing. It's offers very high level product descriptions and organisation. It produces a lot of data. They've helped with making the reporting easier, and supported this with training as well.

Cons

We worked together on finding a solution to some simpler reporting, as there was a lot of data and as a smaller organisation sometimes it was more efficient to just have a simple report.

Reason for choosing FuturaERS

I did review other software offers as part of an all systems review, and still found that Futura offered the most customisation, resilience and control than other software offers. I decided that Futura still offered the best overall service.

### "An integrated service - supporting online and in-store sales"

Futura ERS allows integration with our online shop which is crucial to our business growth strategy. In addition, this integration is able to work on a real-time basis preventing the duplication of original art sales online and in-store. The support service is excellent.

Pros

The product is quite straightforward to use. I particularly like the Statistics tools which allows me to easily see the daily sales which can be broken down by til and branch. I have also found the software to be very reliable.

Cons

I am yet to find any missing elements to the software!

It was the best solution available to support our business needs.

Futura have always been great to work with and continue to develop the product. They allow us to control our stock holding and replenish as needed

Pros

The accessibility of the information and that everything that you need to make the right business decisions is there for you. The ability to select what and how you access the information is very valuable. The variety of ways you can promote and control by store and time line. Live updates on sales is a great positive The stock replenishment system is fantastic with a great level of sophistication that we still don't fully utilise after 11 years of using it.

Cons

Not a lot but would like a cost effective way to scan goods in. The ability to report historically in product statistics when you have just added an attribute.

Futura are alway helpful and ready to listen to its customers to make the product better. The annual customer meeting are always welcome and you are able to talk to other customer users to get ideas for your own business.

Pros

It’s does what is says on the tin. It’s logical, easy to use, outstanding.

Cons

The reporting function needs to be updated, however you can get the info in different functions

Reason for choosing FuturaERS

The overall cost, the assistance to set up and ongoing training and support. Total value for money

It's been consistent, reliable and I've chosen it again for different companies over the last 20+ years. Above all else, we value the incredible consistency of staff within Futura which means that they can be trusted to know what they are talking about and trusted to solve any issues that come up. We've never been made to feel like a small or unimportant client.

Pros

It's a well integrated solution that covers our EPOS and back office functionality and is simple to use, even without an in-house IT staff

Cons

There are some small niggles over functionality where different programmers do things in different ways between modules - but these are overcome with practice

Pros

Reliable, Extensive Reporting, Easy to use, Detailed. When you invest in Retail Software it's not just about it's functionality, it's a partnership with the providers and their ability to support and develop software further. They have very good Job retention so I am still speaking with the same people from when we purchased 12 years ago. They are great people with exceptional knowledge & understanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending and have done and I know other customers are also very happy with both product & support from Futura Team.

Cons

Their is nothing I dislike. It has been so reliable.

Very good, backed up with excellent customer service and support

Pros

Very stable & reliable platform with little or no downtime. Easy & quick to implement with good stock and order management functionality. Has coped well with many different types of distribution channels, globe trade, also manages high volume of transactions. For example a new database was set-up and operational in one day.

Cons

The area which can be improved are reporting, although this may be due to our bespoke set-up.

It does the job. Collecting data and putting into reports that we can use to analyse sales and make further decision on buying and selling our products.

Cons

Sometimes, the reports I have in mind are not really available and need to be create a bespoken one to tailor-made one.

Overall I would describe out engagement with Futura as very positive, and the duration of our partnership is testament to that.

Pros

Futura take a very hands-on approach, and have an excellent level of customer service. We have access to a wide team with a range of specializations, and we have developed an excellent rapport over the last few years.

Cons

Like all IT integrations, development testing and deployment take time, but Futura manage expectations with regard to timelines and unexpected delays very well.
