Overall I think the transition was pretty easy. Not many complaints with GC Pay so far. The chat response is always super quick. Subs seems to like it from their end, not getting too many complaints.

Pros

Automating the waiver process and the ease of attaching backup. Stored materials, insurance certs, etc.

Cons

The way owner change orders show up on Pay Apps is confusing/hard to explain to the bank inspectors. Making small edits, like period to dates is out of my hands as a PM so sometimes there's a bunch of back and forth to get things fully approved.

Good overall, but additional online training resources would be helpful for subcontractors and new employees to ensure smoother onboarding and better system utilization.

Pros

Chat and customer service respond quickly and are very helpful, ensuring questions are addressed efficiently and professionally.

Cons

Difficult for trade partners to use. The requirement to involve multiple vendors often creates confusion and unnecessary delays in the process.

Very happy, at first was a little worried but it is very easy to use. We use Textura a lot but rather use GCPay.

Pros

GCPay is very straight forward and user friendly. You can tell what is needed. Great support, answers the phone right away and very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

Wish GCPay had electronic signing like Docusign, then you won't need to edit or scan documents that needed signing.

Compared to the other Construction software, for me it is okay. It will be great if we have provisions to edit or can-do adjustments from contractor side.

Pros

Easy to use. We can find all the documents in the same platform. It is a value for money product.

Cons

We can't do editing from Contractor side. Once the subcontractor submit the Price, Contractor needs to do assessment and do some adjustments, if necessary, which is not possible.

Pros

The platform is easy to adapt to and learn, while also being dynamic and adapting to specific project demands.

On occasion the points of contact responsible for responding to invoices do not respond quickly ( this is not a problem with the platform itself)

I would much rather all contractors utilize GCPay rather than other products like Procore and Textura.

Pros

GCPay is very easy to understand, learn to use, and utilize. It is a great value for our money. It is very secure as well.

Cons

I would like to be able to tab (or enter) through my SOV when submitting billing to a contractor, instead of using the mouse to click for each billing value.

I truly find GCPay to be the easiest online pay application software. Auto generates your pay application. Easy to navigate the site and upload your required documents. I like the Audit Trail feature so you can track your project's payment status.

Pros

Very user friendly. Little to no learning curve for use. I like that it auto generates the pay applications for you.

Cons

Not enough of our GC use it. It would be nice if there was a way to notarize online similar to the Oracle Textura Payment Management system.

Marrette, This is so great to hear, thank you for sharing it. “Little to no learning curve” is kind of the dream, right? Glad the auto-generated pay apps and navigation are making things easier. And the Audit Trail callout, huge. Being able to track payment status without chasing people down really matters. On notarization, appreciate you raising that. GCPay does offer Remote Online Notarization through Notarize.com, so you can click “Notarize,” connect with a live notary 24/7, e-sign, and have the document automatically routed back into your pay app. No printing or in-person steps, and it’s compliant in all 50 states. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback…really helpful.

I find it very easy to use, very convenient for tracking projects and paperwork. The dashboard is great to see what is due. Would like for contractors to have to indicate when an billing has been paid.

Pros

The dashboard to see whats due is very helpful, also clicking to sign instead of printing or using excel is amazing.

Cons

Some of the displays to see whats been submitted could be more clear, also something that the contractor has to signal when the invoice has been paid would be helpful.

Absolutely wonderful and quick Customer Service. I would go as far as to say GCPay has the best Customer Service I have experienced in both my personal and professional life. Every company should provide Customer Service like GCPay.

Pros

Having constraints in place for Compliance and unapproved Change Orders has been a game changer for our company.

Cons

Subcontractors who have endless contacts listed in the GCPay Directory. Oftentimes we don't know who is going to be doing the billings for a specific project to get them added. It seems like we could add them on a company basis and then let the subcontractor sort out who is owning a specific project.

Incredibly helpful real-time support. Easy platform that is worth every penny. Setup is simple, easy to follow.

I really can't say I dislike anything. If I absolutely had to pick something then I'd have to go with something like I don't like that use the color orange in their logo.

I've had a great experience with GCPay, it's an easy program to learn and has overall made my review more efficient and quicker.

Pros

GCPay has made the payment process much easier than typical AIA applications, eliminating the need for paper entirely. The application is easy to learn, and the support team is always quick to respond and helpful. The compliance tab makes it easier for our subcontractors to upload documents and record them.

Cons

Sometimes when I'm using the GCPay support chat, the chat will disappear after I type a message, and I will have to refresh to get the chat feature back onto the page.

I have been using GCPay for many years and I would say that is a user friendly compared to other portals. Security is great as well since each user gives you an option who can approve waivers.

Pros

GC Pay is great because it organizes all compliance, billing and payments. You can see everything about your projects. It makes it easier for customers to process payment as well via ACH that is already in place. I also like it because it notifies me every time there's an additional requirements I need to do which helps me not to forget things which helps me save time to do my compliance quicker and that is value of money that I can save as well.

Cons

The least thing I don't like about GC Pay is if there are no waivers for a particular month I can upload, I cannot just remove it myself, my customer says that I have to call customer service.

### "Keeps our billing organized"

GC Pay is easy to use and keeps our billing organized. It's the billing platform that I prefer using.

Pros

Pay apps don't get lost or misplaced. If a change order is written after retention has been billed, there is no confusion about whether I need to re-submit retention app.

Cons

The general contractor name is not on the Projects Page list of projects. It would be helpful when I'm looking for all of the projects for a certain general contractor.

Overall experience with GC pay I would describe as beneficial for Sub contractors (us) and general contractors (customer) the ability to share information real time.

Pros

What I like most about GC pay is the value for money of the services provided at an acceptable rate per month.

Cons

What I like least about GCpay is the additional cost incurred from a specific GC just for submitting their pay applications on the portal, in addition to the GC pay cost of service. Example: Durotech charges $15 per pay application.

Out of all the contractor websites I’ve used, I find GC Pay to be the most user‑friendly. Entering payment applications is a breeze, and the platform walks you through each step so you always know exactly what’s required to complete the process. Uploading documents is quick and straightforward, which makes managing everything much more efficient. From payment processing to lien waivers. Contractor compliance is also easy to access, helping you stay organized and compliant without any extra hassle.

Cons

I’ve had a few instances where a contractor wasn’t able to “see” that the documents were uploaded on their end, which created some confusion. While it doesn’t happen often, it’s something to be aware of.

hat truly sets GC Pay apart, though, is the exceptional customer support, especially through their chat feature. Anytime I've had a question or needed help navigating a feature, the chat team has been incredibly responsive—often replying within minutes. Even better, they don't just respond quickly; they actually know the product inside and out.

Cons

it would be the requirement for subcontractors to sign waivers before payments are released. While we understand the legal necessity, it can sometimes slow things down or create tension, especially when subs are expecting quicker turnarounds.

GCPay has great customer service and is very intuitive. Overall I am happy with the platform what is has to offer and how it is exicuted.

Pros

I love the compliance function in GCPay. It is such a help to the company when subcontractors cannot move on without the proper complaince documents.

Cons

I do not like that the import to SAGE of invoices does not include an attachment. It can be tedious to look information up in multiple ways.

My overall experience with GCPay has been positive. The platform helped streamline billing, improved organization, and made tracking pay applications more efficient, even though some processes could be more intuitive

Pros

What I liked most about GCPay was how easy it made managing pay applications, tracking approvals, and keeping all project billing organized in one place. It streamlined the entire workflow and saved a significant amount of time.

Cons

What I liked least about GCPay was that some processes felt repetitive and required multiple steps that could have been more streamlined, which occasionally slowed down the workflow.

Overall experience has been easy to manage and very user friendly. In addition, the support team is very good to work with and very knowledgeable.

Pros

The striking color palette is very pleasant in appearance. As an example: on the DASHBOARD page, the line items that need attention are easily identified. Overall, GCPay is very user friendly.

Cons

The waiver of lien form can use a slight improvement in terms of the margins. The statement \*EXTRAS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO CHANGE ORDERS, BOTH ORAL WRITTEN, TO THE CONTRACT … on the bottom is often on a page following.

I think it's a great product that has saved us a lot of time and headache. I don't think we could ever go back to how we used to enter billings.

Pros

The user-friendly interface and how well it syncs with Vista. Also, it prevents typos/mistakes on hand-written pay applications. Oh, and GCPay support is exceptional. Very fast service, and always helpful.

Cons

Two main issues are that GCPay wont delete change orders that have been un-interfaced/unapproved in Vista if they've already been added to a subs SOV. Also, T&M subcontracts don't work very well with GCPay

### "Honest review of my experience."

My over all experience has been easy, stress free and for the most part problem free. Nothing is difficult to find on the site and questions are easy to find the solution for.

Pros

I love how user friendly GCPay is, it only took me a couple days to completely understand the whole website. It is super simple to track payments and send billing. Compared to other websites I believe GCPay is the best for the value of what you receive. The website feels secure and getting contractors approvals I very easy too navigate. I rate this 10/10.

Cons

Not much I dislike about GCPay, other than I feel like the process of transferring account owner ship inter company is more difficult than it needs to be. For when some gets fired or leaves, I don't feel the company should make a completely new account on GCPay just to change the Signature for document signing.
