It made managing product information much more structured and less time-consuming for me. I spend less time fixing errors and manually updating data, and it helps me get products live faster across different channels. There are a few areas that could be improved, but overall it’s a reliable and easy to use PIM that works for my situation. Pros What I like most about KatanaPIM is how easy it is to work with. The interface is clear and intuitive, so I was able to get started quickly without much explanation. Having all product information in one central place makes a big difference for me and saves a lot of time compared to working with basic CMS systems. The integrations works well, which makes it easy to send product data to different sales channels. The onboarding and support feel personal and helpful. Whenever I had questions, the team responded quickly and thought along with me. Cons KatanaPIM is a fairly basic PIM compared to more extensive tools like Akeneo. If you’re looking for very advanced features or highly complex product data setups, KatanaPIM may feel a bit limited. That said, this also comes with a good price–quality balance: you don’t pay for complexity you don’t necessarily need. One of the benefits is that it really simple to manage all of your product data, no matter how many experience you have with PIM. It is very fast and the search functionality is awesome. Customer Support is responding very quickly and these guys are very kind. Cons I haven't run into issues at the moment, so it's hard to tell the cons about Katana PIM right now. The primary cause for halting our workflows and operations in the last year. Pros Saves us time since we don't need to handle PIM data ourselves and since this is an existing tool we don't need to spend time on developing inhouse components Cons Breaks every Tuesday, unreliable. Operations specialist Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good PIM system with convenient functionalities" June 4, 2024 5.0 Pros KatanaPIM offers many additional features that may be of interest to many organizations, including the ability to add a workflow and very comprehensive specifications + specification groups. Once you understand the system and have worked with it several times, it is easy to use. In addition, communication with the team at KatanaPIM is good and they are always willing to help. They always look for an appropriate solution for every situation and try to think with you. Cons The amount of functionality is a plus, but potentially overwhelming for some (inexperienced) users. Documenting and bundling all the information needed to fully understand the system is something that could be improved. However, KatanaPIM has been working hard on this in recent months, and the portal where all the information can be found has already expanded considerably in a short period of time. The ease of use could be improved, it\`s not so obvious where to go at first and what functions to use. Many functions do not even work or are confusing as they are from you e-commerce era, so i\`ve been told (Category specifications, Tax Categories) etc. Pros \- Easy set-up with onboarding - Good customer service with fast reaction times - Basic but it has what you need for a smaller company Cons \- Image grouping doesn\`t work properly - Workflow needs updating, doesn\`t reflect what\`s been done - just that it hasn\`t been done - User roles, Permissions rules and acces control list is an absolute mess which is near impossible to navigate and understand. - Document/attachment section is too basic, no way to forward. - Can be slow at times, as if servers are slower at some point. Hard to pin down what it is. - Many bugs that impact working in Katana or just "features" that don\`t do/work how you\`d expect it to work. For example, adding a single spec without a value will remove that spec from the product. Reason for choosing KatanaPIM Those products were very extensive and would require a lot more data management and did not always overlap with what we needed. We raden deze PIM vaak aan als er een klein team is met makkelijke product structuren. Pros Sterke en solide basis PIM. Voor alle gebruikers snel te begrijpen. De pricing is ook zo gemaakt dat je heel weinig betaald in vergelijking met andere PIM producten. Voor Nederlandse bedrijven is het directe contact met de Nederlandtalige consultant en expert heel fijn. Zo wordt iedereen persoonlijk geholpen bij de onboarding. Cons Waar de basis goed is. Zijn de aanvullende functionaliteiten nog niet (volledig) ontwikkeld. Zoals de REST API's, automatics updates, Import imports, AI functionaliteiten of workflows van complexere product modellen.
