Pros Hyperproof offers a smooth experience with users being able to accomplish tasks with less navigational clicking. Custom fields and UI customization make the tool work for my unique engagements with customers. Cons I feel like there are some confusing components to the experience. For example, importing Controls to a Program requires a different .csv template compared to importing Controls outside of the Program (in the main production instance). The tool is easy to use implement and user friendly along the way. The support staff at Hyperproof is amazing and go way above and beyond to make your experience valuable. The team also takes feedback very seriously and we have seen suggestions for improvement actually be implemented. Pros I love how easy it is to import data from external sources as well as the Kanban functionality that allows you to easily visualize and understand where your team is in the audit process. Cons It is a small con but I wish Hyperproof stuck with industry standard terminology in the tool. It is hard to map industry accepted terms with their terms. For example evidence vs. proof. Both mean the same but industry standard is evidence. This can cause problems when working with 3rd parties. Additionally, I like the documentation previews that you get. This makes reconciling a lot easier and reduces the number of unnecessary downloads. Cons I wish there was a function to mass update things (for example, the status of requests). This would reduce the need for repetitive tasks. October 2, 2025 5.0 I've had a positive experience. There's been issues to iron out in the implementation but they've not been core issues. Setup was really quick and we were rolling in a matter of minutes. I believe in their roadmap and delivering incremental updates makes me believe in the product and know they'll keep improving Pros I like the simplicity of what is essentially a complex world of GRC. The benefit of managing multiple frameworks only becomes apparent once you've spun up one framework and you can see how easy it is to manage multiple without duplicating effort. Cons The supplier and vendor management module needs some love to make it truly useful on an enterprise scale. The risk management module should focus on financial risk calculations but it's not impossible with the current iteration. The application is very well organized, and it makes it easy for us to perform GRC activities. Cons I did not like the fact that you can't delete a request once it is created. The platform is evolving, and Hyperproof is very committed to listening to its customers and improving its features and capabilities, based on needs. The frequency of their rollout and close touchpoint with their customers allows users to grow alongside it. The automation options also help reduce the manual workload, and its centralized dashboard provides a clear, real-time view of compliance status, making it a valuable tool for teams of all sizes. They also have various integrations to popular systems that allow customer to plug in to the product fairly easily. Lastly, their customer support is awesome. They're very quick to respond and address issues over call or email. Cons While Hyperproof has solid fundamentals and is growing as a GRC tool, one downside is that your speed of progress is somewhat tied to theirs. As a growing platform, there are still some features that feel a bit underdeveloped or lacking compared to more established tools. Updates and improvements can take time, which might slow down teams looking for more advanced functionality right now. Sr. Information Security Analyst Banking Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "GRC Efficiency and Scalability via Hyperproof" June 26, 2024 5.0 Prior to implementing Hyperproof, we were manually tracking and saving audit evidence, which was leading to a lot of extra work and time spent duplicating efforts. Now that we are able to map evidence to our controls, we are able to quickly find and provide required artifacts to internal and external auditors. And we are able to maintain evidence throughout the year, based on the freshness requirements that we have configured, so that we aren't left with a monstrous effort before every assessment. This tool has proven to be a huge improvement, and the vendor is very responsive to our needs. Pros The platform is already helping us easily map audit evidence to controls for easy tracking, maintenance, and re-use. We've gone from exhausting, time-consuming, manual work to being able to quickly locate and provide audit evidence. Freshness reminders are set to help us stay on top of artifact updates throughout the year rather than a big effort right before an audit or exam. But what we like best are the people - the various teams from sales to implementation to customer success to support to development are extremely responsive to our questions, concerns, and goals. Cons As a financial institution, our primary framework is based on the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), which Hyperproof have recently added. It is quite different than SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other common frameworks, and there are still a few functionality issues to be worked out. Pros What I like most about Hyperproof is that we are able to add new security standards/frameworks to our ever expanding scope and utilize the Jumpstart feature to instantly map our existing proof to satisfy those new requirements. Adding additional standards/frameworks has never been easier. Cons Where Hyperproof fell short in relation to its competitors is in the area of initial cloud integrations. Since the product prides itself on automating evidence collection, I expected more SaaS integrations for automation purposes. However, over the last year, I have seen vast improvements in this area. It still has room for improvement but they continuously add integration features and I'm looking forward to having all integrations/automations that I need become available. Cons I always experience lags/delays when interacting with buttons. Also, some modules need some learning curve especially with linking third-party storages such as SharePoint.
