Sales Director Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy to use and affordable cloud fax solution for a great price" September 16, 2020 5.0 We had multiple fax lines within our organization because some of our customers would still fax over order documents and purchase orders. We wanted to find a more convenient way to send and receive these faxes. eGoldFax has given us the ability to send and receive faxes via email and give each salesperson their own fax number. When faxes come into a person's fax number, they are routed directly to that person's email. We recently had a situation where a salesperson accidentally deleted a fax from their email box. When the customer contacted us to find out why their order had not been processed, we were able to go into the encrypted fax archive and recover a copy of their purchase order. With a lot of our employees working from home due to the pandemic, eGoldFax has ensured that our salespeople continue to have access to faxing even though they are no longer physically in our office. Using eGoldFax has improved the efficiency of our faxing process immensely. Pros Product is easy to use so user training was minimal. We were able to eliminate our physical fax lines and save around $50+ per month, per line that we were paying for them. All faxes are archived so it enables us to go back and look up the history if someone claims that they sent us something and we didn't receive it. eGoldFax also has the ability to automatically route faxes to an email box, network folder/share or automatically print Cons There is currently no option to print directly to fax but I heard they are releasing a printer driver soon to solve this Alternatives considered [eFax](https://www.capterra.com/p/174254/eFax/) Reason for choosing eGoldFax The sales and setup process was easy as both salespeople and techs were U.S based. The support team is always extremally responsive whenever I have a problem related to E-gold fax. They also helped us get re-set up when we changed data centers and were immediately available. Pros Easy to use, the portal gives great metrics for tracking not only where the faxes come and go but also productivity among users. I love that my team can use it while in the office or working from home. Cons I wish they could integrate with our EMR. Right now we have a custom application connecting our EMR to E-Gold fax. Pros The system is easy enough to use once all information is input into your fax machine Cons The process to save a contact is time consuming. Once our printers had the app installed they never had a problem again. All of our remote users now use the app and they are very happy. Pros The fact that their service team helped us move away from hard line POTs lines and ported all of our schools' fax numbers to the GoldFax service. They made the migration easy. The hardest part of a migration from traditional telco POTS lines is waiting around for the telco to complete the porting. GoldFax takes care of working with the telcos, though, which is really nice. Pros GoldFax is easy to setup and rollout to end users. There really is no software to install. Users send and receive faxes from within Outlook. Other than informing users how to format an email to fax address there is virtually no training needed to use GoldFax. And, the product works day in and day out. Cons It would be nice if there were different levels of administrator access to the GoldFax portal. For instance read-only access is desired for help desk personnel who may need to track a fax. System administrators need full access to make system changes. Improving the interface between GoldFax and copiers would also be nice. With the current web interface its hard to tell if the connection is live, if it was set up correctly, etc. Review Source RL Ron L. Pros Paperless faxing to multiple recipients at once - with automatic delivery confirmation returned to sender. Super easy - just email your electronic file to a fax number. Integration was effortless, just make the call - they do the rest. Cons The only con would be less exercise not having to walk to/from the old style fax machine. You save time, money, paper, toner, printing, & filing. The ability to customize and control faxes for multiple departments was super simple to setup, and the amount of paper saved alone has nearly paid for the product. Pros The ability to send digital faxes for a fraction of the price as traditional faxes is a game changer for sure. This has lowered my overall printing costs by 45% in the first quarter alone.
