The platform is easy to navigate and provides a lot of useful features for managing communication and school records. I’ve found their training sessions to be very helpful, and they are always willing to set up a meeting on Fridays or at other convenient times to troubleshoot any issues. Their support team is readily available and responsive, which makes the process of setting up and resolving any concerns much easier. Pros What I like most about SchoolCues is how it keeps all attendance records in one place, making it easy to track and manage. The system also makes communication between teachers and parents seamless, with the ability to send updates and messages directly. I especially appreciate being able to input alumni information, as well as creating sign-up sheets for parents for events or activities. It truly helps streamline everything! Cons What I like least about SchoolCues is that it doesn’t offer an option to translate messages into another language or switch the language in which you type. Additionally, it would be helpful if we could pull attendance records from previous years. I also would like to allow longer messaging when creating a textcue or sign up sheet details. I highly recommend this app! The price is also extremely doable for a small school. Pros It has everything in one place! Communication, payments, school information system, etc. Anytime I have any issues, they are quick to rectify them and see what they can do further. Cons They are still working on adding notifications from the app, otherwise I don’t get notified on any messages. Chairman Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Unified system for a small school" November 4, 2023 3.0 Overall, SchoolCues has been a great benefit and a good value for the price. Pros As a small school just starting up in the last few years, we relied on several different free or paid services for record-keeping, communications, and payments. SchoolCues has allowed us to replace almost all of that with a single portal for staff, teachers, and parents. The biggest benefit has been streamlining and simplifying our admissions process, student records, and collection of tuition and fees. Cons The user interface and the way some of the features work is not always very intuitive, and it took some time to figure out how to adapt the enrollment contracts and payments to fit our processes and needs. We've been using SchoolCues since November when we had to abruptly switch software applications. The training and transition were smooth, and once we got the hang of the system, it proved to be incredibly reliable. Several other schools I spoke with before purchasing shared similar positive experiences. The platform is easy to use, the help desk is consistently responsive, and it offers many tools that our previous software lacked—all at an affordable price. We highly recommend it to any small school looking for a robust tuition payment collection solution. Cons It's not set up to accommodate the selection of specific classes for homeschool co-ops/university model schools. Administrator Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Very comprehensive tool for small schools" October 23, 2025 5.0 Pros Very comprehensive. We use it for student enrollment, billing and receiving payments, sending emails and texts to parents, parent-teacher conference signups, and more. Cons Because it's so comprehensive, it does a LOT, and not every module is as smooth to use as another. For instance, the signups module is not as easy to use as Sign Up Genius, BUT it's all within the same system as everything else, as opposed to lots of unrelated apps. And because they do so many upgrades, there can be a few minor glitches as they roll out the new features, but at least they continue to enhance the product's value. There are some apps that are "cuter" that really appeal to early childhood parents, but of the products that I've seen, SchoolCues offers the most functionality in terms of what schools truly need, especially considering the price. Each portal is very easy to navigate and use. I use the SIS, Payments, and Communications portals the most and these are always easy to use. Cons Sometimes, emails do not appear in family inboxes and are directed to junk mail. This may be a setting of the parent. Invoices for parents do not meet FSA and tax guidelines. January 29, 2025 5.0 The support and development team at SchoolCues has been wonderful to work with! They answer questions promptly when we have them. The \[sensitive content hidden\] of the company is very involved also, which I appreciate. They have plenty of training opportunities (videos, help prompts within the program, and live training classes). They are open and willing to take our suggestions for enhancements to their program as they truly want to make it the best product for small schools. We are glad we found them! Pros SchoolCues is easy to use for our teachers and parents! We previewed several programs for our small hybrid school. SchoolCues is not the cheapest option, but it had the items we were looking for (SIS, reports, attendance, admissions/enrollment, gradebook with reporting, a payment portal, parent/teacher conference sign up, school directory, communications, etc). Cons The pricing document they shared with us when we first met with them was a little confusing (more complicated than it needed to be). We struggled a little setting up our Gradebook. Cons The photo gallery function in the app is very hard to use. We'd hoped that would be a good option for sharing pictures internally, but it's too counter-intuitive and takes too many steps to share photos. We also don't care for the document box as it limits the file size too severely and is inconvenient for our teachers to use. The willingness of their staff to stay on task with us until we gained sufficient proficiency was a big help. The affordability and design make SchoolCues a perfect fit for Legacy Christian Academy. Pros The patience and cooperation of the SchoolCues Staff and the very affordable cost of the program. Legacy Christian Academy is not even a year old. We are learning as we go. We had to change personnel, which included a change in who is assigned to use the program on a daily basis. I am sure the delays and confusion on our part had to be frustrating to the SchoolCuse Staff. However, they stuck with us through the whole process. Cons I wish that we could have onsite help from SchoolCues personnel. However, I realize that the logistics makes that a very slim possibility. Reason for choosing SchoolCues In fairness to F.A.C.T.S., that product is designed for a much larger school than ours. There is much more in their program than we need at the present time. March 14, 2024 5.0 Definitely a more efficient and convenient system for your school. Our experience with the SchoolCues platform has been great so far since we transitioned to a digital one last year. Pros As a Program Administrator & Family Liaison, I definitely recommend the SchoolCues platform to any small school or school interested in transitioning to a digital platform. The transition to a digital platform has been an easy one, this is due to the many different module trainings offered by Schoolcues. Everything is organized in the same digital space, which makes less paperwork for the office space. You can replace many forms and create ones from here and share with your families in one place. You can send communication to one person or the whole class, you can even set up parent teacher conferences, grades, and even collect payments. Cons There are some specific forms that can't be change/edited for now. For example, the accident reports, they come in a specific format that might be different from the one your school is currently using. October 16, 2020 5.0 We have had an overall wonderful experience with School Cues. We cannot wait to see what they have for the future. They are always helping parents, teachers and administrator communicate better. Pros When we went looking for a School management product, School Cues was one of the only products on the market that cover everything. Instead of using five different apps, we could get it down to one, which the parent very much like. They were also one of the only online registration software that allowed the School Administration to lock the student’s personal information. Gartering that family’s personal information is not changed without the knowledge of the school. They listen to the customer on what they want and need, try to meet those needs. School Cues was on top of it when COVID-19 began to affect schools. They had a COVID-19 screener ready to go before school started for the 2020-2021 school year. Allowing the parents to start the school year off on the right foot. They listen to their customer on what we needed from our different health departments. . They have one of the best support systems around, some response in less than twenty-four hours with helpful solutions to the problem. I highly recommend School Cues. Cons Our disappointment with School Cues is the ability to use photos. They are developing all-new photo galleries, using photos in newsletters, and getting them to families is culms. Also, teachers wish they could do more on the app vs. the website. We have learned the basics and are now delving deeper into trying to use it how our specific community needs it. Pros We most definitely like many features of SchoolCues. Previously, we did not have a digital system for gathering all the student information, so this allows us to streamline many parts of this process. Cons We find that the instruction sheet to set up a SchoolCues account can be daunting for families, which means they delay the information entry. We would like to simplify these steps.Also, sometimes areas of the system are not intuitive. For example, reporting a student absent as a parent requires going to "Permission Forms" instead of the category called "Attendance."We started using School Cues for almost ALL classroom and school-wide communications. I wonder if parents are seeing the information or if it too much saturating their emails. Reason for choosing SchoolCues SchoolCues offered options for what we needed as a school, Dr. S. was and continues to be responsive when we have questions. We feel that some parts of the system could be a little more user-friendly in the future, so we offer feedback as specific examples arise. It has streamlined many of our processes, especially enrolment. The ease of this process this year was game changer for staff. It was easier to track potential students, who was moving ahead with enrolment and those who were returning for another year. Cons Overall this product works for most of what we do. A few more personalization aspects would be nice to allow it to be more in line with our Ministry standards, but for the most part we have been able to find work arounds to these. Reason for choosing SchoolCues It came highly recommended by other Montessori schools that use it. That was big for us in choosing as it was feedback from actually schools using the product. I am constantly impressed by their efforts to update and add to their platform. The Covid-19 pre-screen that they added prior to the start of school in September 2020 was a true game changer. Our program had been asking questions at the car and taking children's temperatures at drop off. Now the parents answer the questions prior to arrival and we simply scan a QR Code. Also, registering for Parent Teacher Conferences eliminated any negotiations by our parents on 'what might work better for them'. This used to take up a lot of our time. We send out a daily classroom email to identify highlights of our day so our parents check their app each day. The calendar is wonderful as it sends reminders to our families - but we choose when and how often they are notified. Overall our experience has been extremely positive and supported our efforts of building a culture that embraces communication and respect. Pros School Cues decreased the demand of my Administrative time by at least 30%. It set a standard for parent communication and offered our parents a resource of information on their phone and at their fingertips. I also love the professionalism that it presents to our users. Cons I have absolutely no complaints or concerns with this software. Any blip we have experienced was dealt with immediately by the staff of School Cues on the same day. It has helped us have a universal platform for our many different functions. Pros One of the greatest features of SchoolCues is the customer service. They are extremely helpful, very quick to get back to you, and bend over backwards to be available for us. I cannot recommend them enough. Pros School Cues allows a multi-function platform for ease of handling student information. With the addition of modules, you are able to control attendance, incident reports and more. Whenever I have had a problem, they are extremely prompt in their support, and when I had a special request on the set-up of one of the reports, they were able to change the format for those needs. Cons I find that I am not familiar with all the options available, but that has to do with my availability for getting online for instruction. Pros This software is phenomenal because it gives us the ability to offer our school community the ease of an app, the straightforwardness of the payment management system, and the ability to set up classrooms that match what we are doing. Cons The software uses different words to describe certain processes we were used to. Once we understood the definitions of the words used in the system, we could use them to our benefit. Pros SchoolCues is reasonably priced, and the leadership is very responsive whenever there are issues (a rarity these days!) Parents like the app--especially the permission slips and the tardy/absence forms. They afford parents a super easy way to communicate with the school. The school appreciates the ability to get messages to families in a targeted manner (e.g., one classroom or everyone.) Cons SchoolCues continues to address concerns in a timely manner. It is very intuitive and has certainly eased communication gaps internally and and parent facing it replaces many CRM's into one hub Cons the platform and format has been very well thought out. Cons Setting up some of the features is a little tricky at first. I anticipate this to be the case will all these types of programs.
