Pros I like that most of our industry uses this software, creating a natural cohort of users to ask questions and work with. Cons The cross functionality between Pro-fund accounting and PFA Time works. The time card permissions color scheme is poor, making many of the buttons nearly impossible to read unless directly hovering over to make the text black. The approve time function needs to allow the supervisor the ability to use the trash can to remove equipment. The import time function needs to allow the time keeper the ability to add or remove forgotten equipment by keying in the equipment number. This would be more streamlined and would save time from having to import, then go to payroll post and look up the employee and then add. I would also like to see a "Calculate Paycheck" option that would take an employees current with-holdings and calculate the NET check for an employee who wants to see the net effect of a change to their 457 withholding or health plan and know what their check would like like before running a payroll. We utilize the distribution reports for accurate job costs. It saves time when invoicing at the end of each month. Their support system is awesome. Someone is always available by phone when I have questions. Pros The payroll software is very easy to learn. It keeps track of all deductions, handles direct deposits and prepares all quarterly and annual payroll reports. The job costing software is something I use frequently for reporting and invoicing. I also use the accounts payable software for paying vendors. It tracks invoices and alerts you of any possible double postings. Cons There is not anything about Pro Fund Accounting that I would consider a negative. Reason for choosing Pro Fund Accounting We chose Pro Fund Account for the overall package. It has payroll, accounts payable, equipment maintenance, fixed assets and you can track call logs. We also chose it for the price, it was very affordable. Review Source LK Lisa K. Pros Generally, the soft ware is user friendly and intuitive. The company is small so you know who you are calling and they respond well to requests. It is nice to know when you dial the phone for assistance that you know who you are going to get and they will get back to you. Really enjoy the new monthly training sessions and the ability to discuss with Cogitate, as well as your peers, any issues or questions you may have. Cons In the past, using new features of the software was somewhat difficult to get clear instructions, but they have made improvements to training and ability to get questions answered. December 8, 2020 5.0 We are saving paper, time and errors on timecards by using the KIOSK. Pros We use the Timecard Kiosk and it cuts down on entry error and paper! We also use AP, AR, GL, PR, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Equipment, Call Log, Bank Reconciliation, Purchase Orders, Work Orders Cons Integration was not a problem.... Pros I really like the reports and the ability to run so many different reports based on our needs. Cons Finding new features or features that exist but I don't know to use them. If you're an elected official that doesn't understand government accounting, this software makes it so you don't have to be an expert! Plus the staff is always ready to help you. Pros Ease of use and if you get stuck, there's always customer support ready to help you. There is a report to cover everything I need. Cons Would like to put the everybody's vacation in on January 1st and not worry about it all year. Our employees get their vacation on their anniversary date and it would be nice that it would automatically go in.
