Highly recommend Communal for managing your community organization online. The functionalities are robust and are continually being updated.

Pros

The customer and technical support is unparalleled. I've been hugely impressed by the level of care and dedication I received from the team.

Cons

There were occasionally some things I wanted to do that I wasn't able to, but the team have been constantly updating and improving the platform.

### "One of the best decisions our community has made"

Pros

It was easy to migrate from our antiquated, and expensive system over to Communal's modern and easy to navigate platform. The features on Communal were built for our needs and functioned how we needed them to. If there was something that needed tweaking, their support team listened and made it better. Their support was amazing and we are very, very happy with using Communal.

Cons

The only thing that I can say if I absolutely had to, is the invoicing module could be improved to include cloning and templates for recurring rental clients. It would also be great if the email module could be improved a little so that we could migrate from Mailchimp and integrate all of our communications through Communal.

positive. technical support has been responsive and timely, most issues have been addressed. Solid product.

Pros

automated sending renewal reminders, taking payment, issuing membership cards, and expiring memberships as needed. Saved many hours of manual effort per week

Cons

can’t see emails sent to members. when a member renews with a different email a new client record is created and continuity is lost

Overall I enjoy working in Communal to manage my community association's hall rentals. It is easy to navigate with a friendly UI & very few quirks. I'd highly recommend using Communal.

Pros

Communal is easy to use & the switch from our old system was seamless. Quick & efficient customer support in the online chat makes it easy to solve any questions that come up.

Cons

I would prefer if Communal allowed bookings in 30 minute increments. As of now, the invoicing system only allows for whole number, i.e. whole hours of rental.

I'm happy with my experience! There are sometimes hiccups with the tech but I'm content with how thoroughly the issues are looked into.

Pros

The customer service and the "Chat With Us" feature is great! \[sensitive content hidden\] is always super helpful and always follows up on my concerns. The training session is very informative and thorough. I also like how the site is organized and all of the features that are available.

Cons

Sometimes our members have issues with purchasing a membership online. We could also benefit from being able to customize our membership appearance. There's also the occasional broken link/action that we aren't able to access, but our concerns are always looked into and followed-up on.

Pros

Everything! Our staff and volunteers find it very easy to use, saving valuable time on the backend. Since partnering with Communal, the KGCA has experienced a boost in rentals, memberships, and program registrations. Returning renters have praised the simplicity of booking with us. Communal has also enabled us to offer more value to our members. With digital membership cards now available, we have revitalized our Community Perks program, helping connect our members with local businesses. Additionally, creating and managing program and event registrations has never been easier. The ability to host "members-only" events has simplified sign-up filtering, a process we previously handled manually. Our community loves the experience, and we do too!

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind here! When issues do arise, Communal's team is quick to resolve them. Whenever we have suggestions for improvements, Communal listens.

We are finally able to communicate with our members, run booking software and a program payment platform all in one application. The cost to our Community is very reasonable and the team is fantastic to work with.

Pros

This software is a very cost effective way to stay in touch with your members as well as managing all our programs, events and facility rentals! This is a fantastic CRM that has been developed in conjunction with actual non-profit community groups and associations. They listened and took all of our varied issues and created Communal.

Cons

There is honestly nothing that I am unhappy with. The team at Communal make adjustments as issues arise, so if you are not pleased with something today, and it can be tweaked or changed they will.

Reason for choosing Communal

We did not really consider any other products. Products that were available to do all that Communal does were just to cost prohibitive.

Pros

How it fits so many Community Associations and other organizations, that are different but Communal has necessary core features that are overlapping across all of us! What a great team of professionals put it together, by going to the organizations in need, listening of what they were missing and bringing this great product to life.

Cons

Once in a while there will few little things come up but we figure it out together with Communal. Everything else we have works great!

The communal team is always willing to help and make the user experience better. Communal team was always available to answer any questions and give great support to their clients.

Pros

What I liked the most is that it’s user friendly. Easy to learn and work with. I really enjoyed using this software as it is very customizable.

Cons

I have not come across any problems with this software, if I need to add any custom features to this software, communal team is always happy to make those changes and understand the needs of their clients.

Reason for choosing Communal

Because all of the softwares that were being used at Bowness, this software has combined all those softwares in one place and it’s more convenient. The price is also very good because we could do all our work in one place.

My experience with the software and the team has been overwhelmingly positive. We switched from another provider and the difference was night-and-day! Communal did a fantastic job onboarding us and helping us migrate our data from one system to another. They are also very responsive for customer support. The integrated payment feature is nice and makes it so that we don't have to worry about managing that ourselves. I would strongly recommend this product to other Community Associations.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and the team has been great to work with. The built-in workflows make it easy to organize memberships, create surveys, create events, and engage with our members. We had a few customization requests and the Communal team was very willing to work with us to make them happen. I love that the software is cloud based and easy to use.

Cons

As a new product there are a still a few small imperfections. Sometimes things take longer to load than I would like, or the menus aren't quite optimized.

Communal has been amazing for our community association as it is finally bringing our various software pieces together. Rather than having separate programs and spreadsheets for volunteers, members, invoicing, rental groups, program registrations, etc, it's now all in one place. Everything has been easy with Communal and we are very grateful for their service.

Pros

Communal is user-friendly for all of our staff. We use it for a variety of features (membership management, program registrations, online invoicing, volunteer tracking, etc). Communal continues to update their software and provide new features that are relevant to community and non-profit groups, and the customer service is prompt and friendly.

Cons

We have not yet encountered any dislikes.

Reason for choosing Communal

Communal was the best choice because it was an all-in-one solution. The fact that it is a local, small business run by friendly and entrepreneurial staff is a huge bonus.
