IT Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "ZKBiosecurity best hardware hardware for Attendant" June 13, 2022 5.0 Actually, we use ZKTeco devices as a patrol and check the security guard, we put the devices in each location that the security guard at night need to go to check every 30min at night time, by scanning their finger to prove that they have been going to that place to spot check for security. and during the week and month, we collect the report and compare if the guard has been visiting that place as scheduled or not. Pros software design is very simple and well-integrated with multi-model of ZKTeco devices. Data synchronization between devices is effective. the function is easy to use such as a payroll calculator and the schedule is very flexible and dynamic it matches with many solutions not only attendants. Cons well, actually it is pretty good already, but sometimes it crashes on the software inside the devices that need to reset too because electricity is cut off often. Review Source WC Wade C. Systems Integration Technician Security and Investigations Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Bang for your buck" August 19, 2023 5.0 ZKBioSecurity Software fulfills my customers needs without having to lock them in with a vendor that only supports a product that rhymes with Schlenel or Mavigilon. ZKTeco was one of several options they considered when selecting an access control platform (thank goodness they didn't select Interlogix) and it has scaled to meed their security needs. When problems have arisen, the company hasn't let me down regarding support. It hasn't always been smooth, but emails get responded to, calls get returned, remote sessions get scheduled, and the customer ultimately gets their problems solved. As long as that keeps happening, I'll continue to sing their praises. Pros This software has just as many features if not more than other systems I've installed. Unlike others, you can navigate and use all of these features through a thin client interface. This helps when system admins get particular about installation of client software on the company Pcs. The menus are relatively simple to navigate. Once the hardware is configured, there are a variety of ways the user can operate and configure cardholders with the software. I have a customer in particular that likes setting up access by departments. This makes card assignment easy for HR without having to give them access to software components where they may inadvertently unlock or delete something they shouldn't. Cons There are some features I wish the software had. I would like to disable the request to exit transactions so the transaction log wasn't filled with them. I also wish the controllers had the ability to assign the doors individually to an area rather than the controller being part of an area. Perhaps these could be added features in an update? Reason for choosing ZKBioSecurity Cost, scalability, availability, and ease of installation. Review Source KB Keith B. He kept me informed through the process and when he left I was able to pick up where he left off. That is due to the product and software working as designed and presented. Pros The facial recognition is fast, just like you would expect on your tablets or phones. I have had other products and they were so slow to recognize. Cons We currently have a flap of construction taped to the top of the unit to block the camera. If we don't, the unit talks every time someone walks in front of it. It is in a hallway across from our warehouse door. This is enough space that anyone one with permission that walks towards it, invokes the multi-personnel entry routine which then asks for their passcode. The device is 10 feet from the next office and they would have to listen to this constantly. It would be nice to have a delay before a facial read to eliminate this issue. But we have an acceptable work-around. Reason for choosing ZKBioSecurity ZKBio was the only reliable version with the options I was looking for in our budget for a stand alone product.
